CSCentre for Complementary Medicine.
The US National Centre for Complementary And Alternative Medicine makes the following statement on their website... http://nccam.nih.gov/health/alerts/silver/ Other side effects from using colloidal silver products may include neurologic problems (such as seizures), kidney damage, stomach distress, headaches, fatigue, and skin irritation The implication is that human experience or trials have provided some credible info, but they provide no references for this statement. I have also seen the statement repeated and misquoted on other sites ('may' becomes 'can') so its become quite a potent weapon around the world for the anti-cs brigade. I wonder if any US silverlist members have ever queried this statement with the NCCAM and asked them to provide some references. My suspicion is you'll be referred to some pretty old and irrelevant tests on animals. (If they have no references at all, they should of course remove the statement from their site). Is anyone prepared to put a query to the NCCAM? http://nccam.nih.gov/tools/contact.htm I doubt there's any point in me doing it. I'm not a US resident. To Whom It May Concern: I recently read a statement that cited problems/side effects of colloidal silver put out by your agency. It reads as follows: Other side effects from using colloidal silver products may include neurologic problems (such as seizures), kidney damage, stomach distress, headaches, fatigue, and skin irritation. Colloidal silver may interfere with the body's absorption of the following drugs: penacillamine, quinolones, tetracyclines, and thyroxine. I noticed, however, there is no empirical evidence to your claims. Animal testing is not good enough or the same as human testing. This seems to be very misleading and untrue. Please send me the proof that you have that colloidal silver causes side effects. I am open-minded to empirical proof. Hi Mike, stars...@comcast.net THAT explains why I'm getting no cs posts! I got this one, oddly enough. I've got a user forum open this minute. Before posting my loud complaint (I went through this last Spring with many lists---thought they'd finally solved it) I found this message back to a user: You can't whitelist a server. If the sources are receiving bounce messages that indicate their mail server is being blacklisted by Comcast, then those bounce messages will contain the IP address that needs to be sent to comcast--along with the e-mail address needed to request removal from the blacklist. Unfortunately, it may be a temporary solution at best, if the IPs involved continue to be seen as spam sources by Comcast. I do know that many of the newsletters had this problem, and apparently they had to send their IP addresses, and whatever the h*ll else Comcast wanted. It took 2 months for the newsletters to start showing up again. NOW I will go and give them a piece of my mind. Thanks for the head's up, Mike Sharon - Original Message - From: M. G. My feeling about surgury is that it will just make more adhesions, and the surguries will have to be done possibly over and over again at ever shortening intervals. Re: CSOmega-3
Essential omega-3 fatty acids should not include linolenic acid, the one in flax oil etc. It's been established that you don't convert it well, other than that it's useless, and that you survive without it if DHA and EPA, the truly essential ones, are present in the diet. Some of that research is on my website on the Budwig Diet revision page. Even if you use flax or another source of LNA you probably need EPA and DHA-rich cod-liver oil or wild fish oil; so much for the natural vegetarian approach. CSGlass vessel Metal spout Repost
I am cutting and pasting this previous post. I just returned from a short trip and noticed there were no takers/responses. Any thoughts on the following: My loving kids bought me a fancy glass vessel with a nice metal spout for my CS drinking. My clear CS is making small grey/grey-black aggregates in the solution and around the metal spout that is inside the container. The inside metal itself is now coated with black (silver oxide?). I am concerned and assuming that this is not a good thing since I am trying for the small particle version CS. And since I believe I have a relatively weak but decent quality (do not have meters) I believe I am loosing my desired ions to the clumps. Anything to do about this metal reaction? I like my fancy vessel, but more-so my CS and health benefits. Also, what are the possibilities of leaching undesirable metals and/or methyl, ethyl, death compounds from the glass since it is mostly distilled water? I have been storing and dispensing in sun tea jars and that did work fine as wine. But this fancy glass object spiked my interest in leachable undesirable elements. CSRe: FW: CSNew 73 y.o. member with chronic Ehrlichiosis requests help!!
Dear Carlos, It sounds like you have good distilled water. Since you are stirring it by hand, I assume you are making a low voltage DC Colloidal Silver (which, ironically, is probably mostly ionic ;-)). However, 12 to 13 minutes seems like a very short time for brewing so you must have either used a starter or are using higher voltage... Can you give more details? What voltage? Do you have any current limiting going on? Do you have access to a voltmeter or a current meter which measures milliamps? Do you have a laser pointer of any sort? Are you familiar with electrical theory at all? Even if you don't have any special equipment you can still make the CS but you won't be quite as sure about the potency, etc. One way to achieve stirring for a quantity of water up to about pint or a liter (well, I used it for a one-half gallon container, but it was quite narrow) is to use thermal stirring. The idea is to heat the container in the middle part of the bottom which will cause the water to rise by convection, and since the outside edges of the container are cooler they will cause the water to move down. This way you will get a gentle circulation of the fluid and not have to stir it. One can get a tin can which has one end cut out, turn it over and cut a smaller hole in the top to release the heat to the glass and then put a small wattage light bulb in the can. Set the CS container on top of the can with the small hole facing the container. You should insulate the top of the can a bit, but don't insulate over the hole. If the light bulb is too hot, you may need some ventilation holes in the bottom of the tin can. The term Colloidal Silver is a catch-all term. The stuff we make by this method is mostly ionic with a small colloidal component. The must be ionic/must be colloidal debate is mostly a marketing ploy. It has been found that in order for the silver to affect the organisms it must be converted to ions. There may be some virtue to the argument that the actual colloids of silver, if they are small enough, are absorbed in a slightly different way and may maintain their integrity for a longer time in the body, but I believe that they must be converted to ionic silver before they can actually do anything. The CS we make has been proven to be very effective. Dan -Original Message- From: Carlos Pérez [mailto:explorer...@hotmail.com] Subject: RE: CSNew 73 y.o. member with chronic Ehrlichiosis requests help!! Hello, Dan, Thank you very much for your answer. Strictly speaking Lyme´s diseases is produced by a Spiroquette and Ehrlichiosis by Ehrlichiae, a Ricketsia. The main vector in both cases is ticks. The sympthoms are sometimes similar. Since Ehrlichiosis is so common in the world I hope I find persons that have experience treating it with CS. At this stage, I am trying to do my best with the simple system I have. I am getting a good quality bi-distilled through steaming, free of ions, that has no reaction by itself. Terry Chamberlain suggested if necessary use a drop of pure honey, but I like better her other suggestion using some CS fom the previous batch. I don´t want to use salt again. I am confused about the opinions concernong Ionic Silver and Colloidal Silver. There are al kinds of reasons for considering one or the other the convenient one. Meanwhile, I am trying to find out what my equipment is producing and optimize it, until I can buy a good trustable system. Next batch sould come out better. The product I am gettig looks like a glass of water with one dop of milk, very clear, almost totally transparent with a slight mist. I am stirring manually with a plastic spoon wile it is produced in order to keep the conglomerates s small as possible. The wire electrodes are placed on the opposite sides of a 10 ounce glass and they leave enough space to do it, but it still is a pain in the neck for 12-13 min.!! CSRe: flaxseed oil (NOT!)
Flax seed oil contains LNA so it is widely thought of as a good omega-3 source; however, LNA has been shown to convert at only tiny amounts to the effective omega-3 oils DHA and EPA, and the LNA itself has no other use in the body. When we have no LNA at all in the diet but DHA and EPA are present, even babies survive and grow; how essential is it really? (reference is in my Budwig Diet revision) Obviously, the marketing distraction from seed oil manufacturers to get another one of their useless paint oils named as an essential food, has worked ;) Besides being 53% LNA, flax oil is almost 13% omega-6 LA, an oil which is already abundant in our diet. It bears watching for excess, because in more than essential amounts it initiates the inflammation cycle, leading to excessive arachidonic acid production. Attempts to reduce inflammation caused by the excess LA by covering it with more EPA and DHA oil to bring the unfavourable omega 3:6 ratio back into line are not very effective without reducing the excess LA. This is covered in Chilton'ss book Inflammation Nation and others. Damage is much higher when your antioxidant pool is depleted, so if you use this oil for food, do take supplemental antioxidants just to offset the damage potential. Antioxidants should include undenatured whey and selenium for the crucial glutathione that recycles your other antioxidants. Same thing if you eat other high oxidizing food oils, which include corn, canola, soy, safflower, walnut, sesame, walnut, sunflower, rice, hemp and a bunch of others. Fresh, extra virgin oil reduces damage potential. There's an oils analysis chart on my coconut oil page that calculates the lipid peroxidation of any oil that you know the fatty acid components of. Coconut oil is only 10% as oxidizing as -- The Silver List is a moderated forum for discussing Colloidal Silver. CScolodial silver (Dr. Weil) and morgenellas disease
I am not sure what was said here. Is Dr. Weil against the use of collodial silver? I thought he was alternative. Another question I have is-since the archives are not working, I was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me. A while ago, there was discussion about the fiber disease called morgenella. I just recently saw a program on this. The show did not say how people contacted this disease. If I remember correctly, it had something to do with cotten. I am wondering if it was geneticlly altered cotten. Was this the reason b ecause it was altered or am I totally off base here. (sorry the brain fog is bad today but would appreciate any answers) thanks guys - Get your own web address for just $1.99/1st yr. We'll help. Yahoo! Small Business.

Re: CSComcast blocking mail from Eskimo
Mike I fired off a letter to comcast and have gotten the emails about four of them so far talking about that subject I hope this gets fixed ASAPdebbie -- Original message -- From: M. G. Devour mdev...@eskimo.com Mike, I use Comcast. No problem receiving your emails. Hi Carol Ann, It works because you're subscribed via a yahoo.com address. This is for Dan Nave (who's listening in via his work address) and anybody else who uses a Comcast account to receive the list. Apparently, Comcast has taken it into it's collective head to block e- mail from eskimo.com for alleged spam activity. They did this without warning or making any attempt to contact the owner of Eskimo North at the standard abuse address or anything else. Besides which, eskimo is extremely diligent about policing spam activity to begin with. Since this message won't reach these people, and I won't be able to reach them from my personal address, either, if you have a friend with a comcast address, could you please foreward this to them? Comcast users need to start complaining to their service provider. Thank you, all. Be well, Mike D. Did your daughter also use CS with her other lyme fighting remedies? If so, did she use it apart from the salt C regime? Getting vitamin C from the vitamin C foundation is a good idea.
