Hi Jean,

I make CS in "well water" all the time.

Two things are important to do.

1/ Use very short time compared to distilled water. about 1/10 of the time. I
use two to three
minutes per cup of water. I sometimes stir but that doesn't seem to be
important.

2/ Keep the current very low. I use a current controller which is set to 1
milliamp. If there is a
visible cloud of silver coming off then the process is going too fast. You
should just be able to
see the silver in the beam of a laser pointer.

If you drink the water then you should be able to make cs with it.

Hth,

Tony Moody

I healed a 15 cm diameter MRSA+ leg ulcer (dx was necrobiosis lipoidica
diabeticorum) within 6 weeks using raw honey compresses.

Purchase raw/unpasturized honey from a health food store, apply liberally to
spot, cover with a layer of gauze and then a waterproof dressing of some
sort (even a chunk of plastic wrap would work). The waterproof layer is to
prevent sticky honey from getting all over your clothes.

I would leave the honey compress on for 24 hours and then remove by
showering and reapply.

Within 6 weeks, the ulcer was healed closed.

Honey is Mother Nature's natural antibiotic.

For those who are diabetic, applying the honey compress does NOT affect your
blood sugars.

I doubt that. One is a unit of weight, the other a unit of volume.
This statement sounds like something used in the medical profession.

Where did you learn that? It might be true on some things, but weight and
volume does not make specific amounts or ratios.

No one can say how many mg makes a liter.
Try lead, gold, water, ice, ice cream, whipping cream, and
10, 000 other things. All are different of course.

Typically, in most cases, ppm is a weight, 1 to 1 million,
Most calculations are done this way.

The unit can be anything, ounces, grams, mg, pounds, tons or whatever.

Weight to Volume is doomed to failure and errors.

CS>distilled water

2007-05-23 Thread david

Jean.

If you use plain water your health may not be in jeopardy but you
are gambling with your appearance. There are already a few examples
of argyria caused by using 'plain' water. (Stan Jones is just the
most famous). Plain water makes more and bigger particles (of various
types) that can lead to argyria. Some recent claims have suggested
that any tampering with the water is a bad idea. Even just adding
baking soda to distilled water might trigger argyria in extreme
cases. (As in the case of someone with very fair skin or an 'argyria
prone' physiology)

But particle size is only one issue. By using plain water you are
also making assorted chemicals like insoluble silver chloride that
your body might not appreciate.

A meter is useless in plain water, as most of the silver goes
straight into particles that are NOT measurable with a meter. The
meter reading may even go DOWN as you add silver to the water. Going
by 'eye' is also no good as you can still have very a high 'particle'
ppm thats pretty clear. Going 'by time' might work if you REALLY know
your way around the Faraday equation. (Or if you have a silverpuppy,
in manual mode, I think the rate is about 1 extra ppm every 4
minutes in a pint of water IF the water is already conductive)

Another problem is that if you are using plain water you are making
PARTICULATE CS, not IONIC CS. If, as many people believe, its the
ions, not the particles, that do the good work, then you may be
missing out on one of the most important components of 'CS'.

I'd use CS made with plain water for short term use if I didn't have
any alternative but I wouldn't make a habit of it.

I thought on my last gallon of CS, using the usual Wal-Mart brand

to distill water to use unless there is a problem with plain water.

Didn't someone post over this list about making CS from stream

If the ppm is raised in distilled water, won't this amount to a

"The amount of silver required to develop Argyria is estimated to be 3.8 grams
per day"

I have two questions about that statement.

  1. If you are drinking a 10ppm "concentration" of CS/EIS, how many ounces or
milliliters (ml) of the 10ppm CS/EIS would you have to drink to reach the 3.8
grams for a day.

  2. How many days would you need to drink it to "get it" (argyria)?

I need a bit of help fully understanding what we mean in terms of
concentration when we use ppm as the "unit of concentration". I understand that
ppm = parts per million. I assume that would be "parts of silver" per some
unit of volume (water)? In the clinical lab we measure concentration of
analytes in the blood in mg/dl or ug/dl..etc. So would ppm be microgram
(ug-1millionth of a gram) per some volume of water? What would the volume of
water be?

  Thanks,

Hello Ruth,
I am going to try to start noticing if CS gives me more of a dry mouth
feeling. I've never noticed it doing so, but then I am so very dry I've
even been told I have Sjogren's Syndrome. My eyes get so dry I've had
keratitis, am at high risk of corneal ulcers, and always have some of what
the eye doc calls "dry spots" on my corneas which would quickly turn into
keratitis again if I get careless about my eye drops. I drink liquids
continuously all day everyday, if I don't I just can't stand the dry
mouth/throat, which makes me sort of feel like I'm going to choke.
Yes, I've had IBS, spastic colon, (whatever the latest name for it is--its
all the same thing to me) for over 30 years. But I don't have anything like
the problems you have, at least nothing like that has ever showed up in any
imaging studies. What I had was constant diarrhea, which is also very life
limiting. You can't go much of anywhere when you might have sudden
explosive diarrhea without warning. In my case a very low carb diet almost
cures it. I say 'almost' because I still eat too much carbs (mostly bread
and other grain products) at times, because I've never lost my cravings for
them. I'm finding that grains, particularly wheat are major triggers for
me. Though I don't believe I have celiac maybe there are varying degrees
even of gluten sensitivity.
If you won't have to have a colostomy, in your place I would probably go
for the surgery. I hate to say that, as I myself have had enough surgery to
last me several lifetimes, and have determined not to have any more, but
then I'm not suffering like you are. Not all surgery is bad, and it sounds
like the surgery you are contemplating might help a great deal.
But.have you asked what your bowel function will be like after the
surgery has healed? Will you just change to constant diarrhea? My only real
advice other than drinking 2 liters of CS per day, is to be sure you get
the real, unvarnished, total truth about the possible consequences (good
and bad)of the surgery. Doctors and surgeons seem to like to give only the
best prognosis, not the worst or mid-case ones. Once I went for an in
office surgical procedure, which I was told was no big deal. I read the
last permission I had to sign, and got up and left without having the
procedure. The possible adverse effects of the procedure were no joke and
were much worse than the condition the docs wanted to cut on me for. Not to
be scary about it, but my advice is to be sure you really understand the
worst case possibilities. I have chosen to have surgeries when I felt the
risks were truly worth it. This sounds to me like where you are at with
your condition. As I said, in your place, I'd probably go for the surgery.
My mother was told that after her colostomy surgery (rectal cancer) she
would never be constipated again, but that turned out not to be true. Might
have been because she refused to follow the diet recommendations they gave
her (no popcorn is the only thing I recall from her list), and she refused
to drink enough water as it was hard for her to get around to get to the
bathroom and since she had become somewhat incontinent and also refused to
wear protective panty things, she handled it by simply not drinking. She
ended up in the ER a few times with severe illness from dehydration.
Because the surgery she had removed all of the part of the colon that helps
neutralize and de-odorize feces, her output was godawful for stench. I
literally could not bear it at times. Plus she had a lot of gas so
sometimes her colostomy bag would actually "blow off" its attachment. The
fecal matter from higher up in the int

Re: CS>distilled water

2007-05-23 Thread sol
Why not purchase a home distiller? I usually have to double distill to
get water pure enough to make clear CS, which I prefer.
Or I have the option to purchase DW from the store and distill that DW.
Usually I can keep up with demand here, and double distill our tap water.

I think making CS with well or tap water is not the best idea for daily
use. OK for emergencies, but I would not want to use it for my daily
intake of CS. While argryia is only cosmetic, I still don't want to turn
grey. Plus I want my CS to be clear, and about 85% ionic, 15%
particulate. Which is supposedly what good homemade CS starting from
good quality distilled water will average.

Yes, with an automatic shut off generator, the higher the ppm of the DW
you start with, the lower the actual ppm of silver content you will have
at shut off. In addition to the risk of argryia with tap or well water,
you also (my opinion) will have a less effective finished product as you
will be making more large particles and very little ionic silver.
Someone correct me if that is not accurate.
Effectiveness is relative of course, so far as I am aware, all CS is
effective to some degree, I want to make the most effective product I
can, with the least risk of argryia. So I use good distilled water.

Hi Mark. Distilled water from the grocery store probably IS fine for home
use. What it's usually not fine for is making CS. I have a Colloid Master
generator from Synergenesis. With this unit, I can test the distilled water
before making a batch of CS. Every gallon of distilled water that I have
purchased from a grocery store is turned down by the generator -- the level of
impurities is too high. Distilled water from either Walgreens or Walmarts
passes inspection every time. FWIW. MA

In my neck of the woods Walmart changed distilled water suppliers and the last

Niagara was the last company in CA that was used by Walmart for DW. That was
good stuff at .3ppm. I guess it varies by state.

CS>Constipation

2007-05-23 Thread Pat
When traveling, it's easy to miss the "window of opportunity." When the waste
sits in the bowel, it gets dryer and then constipation results. Someone told
me about magnesium and it's like a miracle. Of course, if I'd been taking
ConcenTrace like I should, I wouldn't have any problems. But I bought some
magnesium pills made by Solgar.Three capsules contain
Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine HCI) 25 mg,
Calcium (as dicalcium phosphate) 230 mg,
Magnesium (as magnesium oxide) 400 mg,
Sodium† 5 mg. If I take two of these, within 20 to 30 minutes I get normal
results. Not cramps and diarrhea like with laxatives, just perfectly normal.
Occasionally it takes three for results. I've heard that with regular use, you
just stay regular, but I'd only take them when I know a bathroom will be
available for at least the next hour. There are other reasons to take
magnesium, too, but this one is a wonderful quick fix.

Why not just get distilled water from the grocery store? What I get is 89
cents a gallon, and while I am sure chemists and purity fanatics will
excoriate me for this, it is fine for home use.

I wouldn't use well water for making CS/EIS, because even if you have it
analyzed, it can change over time as the aquifer moves. Don't reuse the
milky translucent jugs to store finished CS/EIS, it will taste plasticky,
and that means you are getting chemicals added that you probably don't want.
Yes, some are in there to begin with, but PETE plastic is better for
storage. I have had silver plate out on glass jars, which reduces the
effectiveness of your product.

Re: CS>Sore throat

2007-05-23 Thread sol

Hello Ruth,
I am going to try to start noticing if CS gives me more of a dry mouth
feeling. I've never noticed it doing so, but then I am so very dry I've
even been told I have Sjogren's Syndrome. My eyes get so dry I've had
keratitis, am at high risk of corneal ulcers, and always have some of
what the eye doc calls "dry spots" on my corneas which would quickly
turn into keratitis again if I get careless about my eye drops. I drink
liquids continuously all day everyday, if I don't I just can't stand the
dry mouth/throat, which makes me sort of feel like I'm going to choke.
Yes, I've had IBS, spastic colon, (whatever the latest name for it
is--its all the same thing to me) for over 30 years. But I don't have
anything like the problems you have, at least nothing like that has ever
showed up in any imaging studies. What I had was constant diarrhea,
which is also very life limiting. You can't go much of anywhere when you
might have sudden explosive diarrhea without warning. In my case a very
low carb diet almost cures it. I say 'almost' because I still eat too
much carbs (mostly bread and other grain products) at times, because
I've never lost my cravings for them. I'm finding that grains,
particularly wheat are major triggers for me. Though I don't believe I
have celiac maybe there are varying degrees even of gluten sensitivity.
If you won't have to have a colostomy, in your place I would probably go
for the surgery. I hate to say that, as I myself have had enough surgery
to last me several lifetimes, and have determined not to have any more,
but then I'm not suffering like you are. Not all surgery is bad, and it
sounds like the surgery you are contemplating might help a great deal.
But.have you asked what your bowel function will be like after the
surgery has healed? Will you just change to constant diarrhea? My only
real advice other than drinking 2 liters of CS per day, is to be sure
you get the real, unvarnished, total truth about the possible
consequences (good and bad)of the surgery. Doctors and surgeons seem to
like to give only the best prognosis, not the worst or mid-case ones.
Once I went for an in office surgical procedure, which I was told was no
big deal. I read the last permission I had to sign, and got up and left
without having the procedure. The possible adverse effects of the
procedure were no joke and were much worse than the condition the docs
wanted to cut on me for. Not to be scary about it, but my advice is to
be sure you really understand the worst case possibilities. I have
chosen to have surgeries when I felt the risks were truly worth it. This
sounds to me like where you are at with your condition. As I said, in
your place, I'd probably go for the surgery.
My mother was told that after her colostomy surgery (rectal cancer) she
would never be constipated again, but that turned out not to be true.
Might have been because she refused to follow the diet recommendations
they gave her (no popcorn is the only thing I recall from her list), and
she refused to drink enough water as it was hard for her to get around
to get to the bathroom and since she had become somewhat incontinent and
also refused to wear protective panty things, she handled it by simply
not drinking. She ended up in the ER a few times with severe illness
from dehydration. Because the surgery she had removed all of the part of
the colon that helps neutralize and de-odorize feces, her output was
godawful for stench. I literally could not bear it at times. Plus she
had a lot of gas so sometimes her colostomy bag would actually "blow
off" its attachment. The fecal matter from higher up in the intestines
is also extremely acidic (I guess) because it burns skin, too, in
addition to its other attributes.
A lot of that may have just been my mother, as I have a little old lady
friend now who has a colostomy who does not suffer the stinks etc that
my mother did, nor does my friend become constipated, etc. Or maybe it
is because of what portion of the bowel was removed, I don't know enough
to know. My little friend (now 92) had the colostomy because she had
suffered a total bowel blockage with bowel death, and was found
unconscious in her apartment, near death. They were going to reverse it
at some point, but because of her age at the time (late 80s) the doctor
told her she might not survive the second operation.
Is there any chance you could go into the surgery expecting the bowel to
be attached to the rectum and still come out with a colostomy? If there
is any chance of that, be sure that is a consequence you can accept.

sorry not to have more to offer,
sol

RE: CS>Sore throat

2007-05-23 Thread nathan cross

Hi,Jason,Ruth

Yes I also regularly feel this same sensation. My understanding is, formed
from what i read a couple of years back, in a document written by Dr Bob
Becker i think, is that cs is an astringent similar to lemon juice and
(other astringents), i cant remember which others inparticular were
mentioned, but anyway, apparently astringents cause a contracting of the
cell walls that make up body tissue which constricts the pores in skin and
body tissue. this may be one reason why cs is so effective against acne,
leaky gut, weeping sores, and in situations where bacteria and virus's are
trying to infiltrate the skin membrane. i always picture it like a clean up
and tightening of all the cells bits.a bit like a service for your car.
anyway thats my understanding i enjoy this feeling as i picture all the good
being done. i should chase up the document it was quite interesting and
better explained than this little effort of mine. maybe others have
comments.

Yes, Chlorox 2 is an oxygen based bleach. It is much more gentle than
the original Chlorox (chlorine) bleach. It contains Myristamine Oxide
and hydrogen peroxide.

This is the first mention of Chlorox 2 though.

I ask again. Just what difference do you see in a bottle of sodium
hypochlorite that says chlorine bleach on it, and a bottle that says
Chlorox on it. Regular Chlorox is a brand name for chlorine bleach.
the only difference is the label.

Saying that something is different because of what the label says,
instead of what is inside the bottle is what the FDA does.

RE: CS>Sore throat

2007-05-23 Thread ransley
>Whenever I take CS, I always get a really dry sore throat straight after.
Is this normal? <

CS can cause some folk to taste or feel funny things in the mouth, throat,
etc. But- a dry sore throat after drinking water (which is mostly what CS
is) is my indication that I have suppressed my thirst reflex, then have
re-started it by drinking water. I very often need to have a second glass of
water very soon after drinking one, when I have gone too long without.

Re: CS>Sore throat

2007-05-23 Thread ruth strackbein
Hi, Sol, I am not using DMSO and get this peculiar feeling in my mouth and
throat every time I use CS. I do have dry mouth this morning, but am
scheduled for a nuclear stress test of my heart at noon today to see if my
heart is okay for a possible partial removal of my large bowel. This bowel
is a great deal longer than normal and the X-ray series show that it is sort
of twisted back on itself, transverse colon hangs way low, the upper
"corner" that usually looks to be higher in the abdomen than the other
"curve" is doubled back on itself. It has showed up that way back in the
late 70's, too. The extra long colon was first detected in 1954 when alot
more contrast medium was required to complete an x-ray. At present I seem
only to be able to pass stool by using an enema and/or stool softener or
dulcomax (spelling?) . And I have severe burning almost all the time in the
right side of my abdomen. I do not use the bowel medicines every day.
Usually a two -three cup plain warm water enema. If my whole abdomen felt
as good as my left side, I would be just fine! Have recently had a transit
time, food residue can take as long as 7-8 days to exit my body.
Recommendation is to remove about 90% of my large colon and hitch the rest
to my rectum. I am contemplating having this done by a surgeon who
specializes in colon, rectal surgery and does no other kind. I have tried
various alternative therapies without success, have added some of the
suggested nutrition changes like garlic caps for inulin, etc. that have been
suggested on eskimo. Trouble is, I feel I can't try all of the suggestions
at once. Finally I have to have money left for food, itself. There are some
food groups I can't tolerate. Am lactose intolerant, Don't get along with
the cabbage family, potato-tomato family, citrus fruits. Actually it is
very hard to figure out what to have to eat. Even my chiropractor says that
there comes a time when the regular Docs and the Surgeons need to be called
in. Also I have lost a great deal of weight over the past year or so. From
around 130 to 120 to yesterday's weight of 111 since 2005-2006. I know
from your posts that you have alot of eating troubles, too. Would value
your opinion of all this. Ruth at ruthstrackb...@hotmail.com

I only get the dry mouth/throat if I'm using CS/DMSO orally.

Hi, Jason, I don't exactly get a sore throat, but it does feel dry in a
strange sort of way, don't know just how to describe it. It isn't like
being thirsty, either. Ruth I tend not to use CS as much on this
account.

CS>Re: CS gel /Chlorine Bleach

2007-05-23 Thread Charles Marcus

WRONG.

Please get your facts straight.

I did NOT say 'chlorine bleach' I said CLOROX bleach. They are NOT
the same thing - google is your friend...

Pray tell, what is the difference. Chlorine bleach is sodium
hypochlorite. I just checked my bottle of chlorox and guess what, it
is also sodium hypochlorite. how can they be different?

Ok - my apologies to Jodi and Dee for incorrectly correcting their
comments about chlorine bleach...

It has been a while since I had reviewed this info, and responded from
memory, because I knew that what was being said about bleach was
incorrect...

What I should have corrected was the myth that pure chlorine bleach is
'bad', or in the same vein as 'chlorine'...

See here for the truth about bleach:

http://www.clorox.com/health_truth_about_bleach.php

Of course, it goes without saying that pure bleach is not something to
use carelessly...

I could be wrong, but you have your mail set to receive receipts all the
time, but I would think this would clog up your box enormously and aren't
really necessary on this sort of list. Just a thought. Dee

I have subscribed for individual mails, because digests
contain only some of the mails.

Now I receive digest again (with only one mail in it !) Why
