I do think scabies is definitely more difficult to treat than mange in
humans. My recollection is that all dogs have mange but it is usually
under control unless their immune system is compromised.

With humans, clothing is a vector and unless severe sanitation procedures
are followed regarding clothing and bedding, the scabies will easily
re-infect if the person touches anything that was touched by an infected
person.

My son's area is infested with deer. It is not unusual for him to see as
many a 7 deer in his backyard at once, and it is unusual when we visit
for us to not see at least one deer while there. The only way we have
been able to deal with them is to only plant nightshades, they leave
them alone. That pretty well limits our garden to things like tomatoes
  and potatoes.

CSFDA Issues Warning on Cipro, and Similar Antibiotics

2008-07-08 Thread kmilkowski
Published - Jul 08 2008 11:25AM EDT | AP
By RICARDO ALONSO-ZALDIVAR - Associated Press Writer
Federal drug safety officials have imposed the government's most urgent warning
on Cipro and similar antibiotics, citing risks that they can cause tendon
ruptures, a serious injury that leaves some patients incapacitated.

The Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday ordered makers of flouroquinolone
drugs _ a potent class of antibiotics _ to add a 'black box' warning to their
products, which include Cipro, Levaquin, Floxin and other medications.

Patients should immediately stop taking the medications if they develop any
tendon pain, swelling or inflammation.

Our son has been investigating different available bedding for our stalls and
has come across a bedding that is more like a sawdust pellets that is supposed
to be more cost effective and compost quicker when taken out of the stalls.
Shavings take so long to compost. He also saw something on line where there
are three ben concrete recepticals that you can buy to dump into and by the
time you fill the last ben the first has composted. Has anyone have any
experience with these types of materials? I love having good compost but
getting to ours is very difficult because my husband has always dumped the new
on top and I hate to dig. Right now we are digging the pile out and putting in
the paddocks where it is sandy to encourage the grass.

2008-07-08 Thread bob Larson
there might be more than one common toenail fungus ? i'm pretty sure most
of it has to be cleared out of the whole body to get it out of the toenails
and keep it out treat systemically.
i've read more reports of vicks and vasoline topical on toenails not working
than successes... but then it might be a different fungus, or maybe it
starts up in the toenails and then spreads in the body so if you get it
early enough topically you have a chance. i've never read anything but
failures from OTC toenail fungus products, and fungicides are nasty
chemistry my afflicted liver would be better off not having to deal with
(the paint/solvent vapor bath i get surviving are killing me just fine).

i've been using CS since fall 2006 when i was about down for the count with

benefit only became apparent when i happened to notice it was mostly gone
one day while drying my feet. i had it almost gone in about 9 months (most
of the time drinking about 1 liter in about 5 days), then tried using much
stronger CS in small amounts for a few months and the toenails started
getting worse again. so i've gone back to using larger amounts of CS at
approx 20 ppm fresher after brewing so it still has the particulate %
largely in it (which the high power didn't due to fallout, aging, much
re-filtering. i used Silspa instead of CS for awhile, and it seemed to work
to control the hep-C, but don't know it's effect on the toenail fungus.
i've used the Silspa intermittently added to CS .. lately i add it to all my
CS at 1 cc /liter and am on my fourth month of drinking almost 1 liter/day

won't grow as fast as the others and i'm antsy for it to get grown out and

the right big toe was the worst, all thickened so it got crowned up and

fungus. all nice and grown out except the last 1/8 or so of the big
 toes.
the right big toe was the worst, all thickened so it got crowned up and
narrow, and the corners would ingrow and be painful, but it's grown out
normal and no more problem. i paint iodine all around the big toe nail
edges when i dry after bathing.

look at the ingredients for Tetrasil, an expensive topical
salve (might be
what you're talking about) and notice it's largely jajoba oil. buy
 some
jajoba oil, or use aloe slime, or both, and add tetrasilver which can
 be

purchased as a hot tub disinfectant (alternative to chlorine) called
 Silspa.
 i got mine online.

I've heard of Tetrasilver salve for nail fungus. Is there a way to
 make this?

Our cat shelter is still experimenting with using cs for many things. One
of our volunteers makes her own goats milk soap and a couple of months ago,
included cs right into the soap. Didn't turn out as pretty as her usual
bars. We offered samples to several volunteers to try. Two of them that
have toenail fungus..ongoing... used it and have asked for more because it
cleared the problem up. Both massaged the soap onto their feet and let it
set several minutes prior rinsing. Neither of them took cs internally.

Subject: RE: CSRe.Colloidal Silver toenail fungus

i've been using CS since fall 2006 when i was about down for the count
with
hep-C myriad list of symptoms. it had me feeling reborn within a month,
and
i've messed with dosage and concentration a lot since. the toenail
fungus

benefit only became apparent when i happened to notice it was mostly gone
one day while drying my feet. i had it almost gone in about 9 months
(most
of the time drinking about 1 liter in about 5 days), then tried using
much

stronger CS in small amounts for a few months and the toenails started
getting worse again. so i've gone back to using larger amounts of CS at
approx 20 ppm fresher after brewing so it still has the particulate %
largely in it (which the high power didn't due to fallout, aging, much
re-filtering. i used Silspa instead of CS for awhile, and it seemed to
work

to control the hep-C, but don't know it's effect on the toenail fungus.
i've used the Silspa intermittently added to CS .. lately i add it to all
my
CS at 1 cc /liter and am on my fourth month of drinking almost 1
liter/day
to see what that does for the hep. i paint iodine on the nail with the
bad

last 1/8 even though i believe the fungus is dead. that one nail just
won't grow as fast as the others and i'm antsy for it to get grown out
and

cut off - i like successful conclusions once in awhile to keep my spirits
up.

Faith, i guess that's about as close as i can come to answering your
questions :-)

spraying CS on socks and in shoes seems to help keep anything from
growing

there... helpful in hot humid times and places.

cheers,
bobL

Bob: I was told by the doctor today that the funny looking
toenail I have
is a fungus. Damn. How much CS did you drink and how long did
it take to
cure your toenail fungus? I have some iodine, so maybe I will
start using
that. I put some CS directly on the nail tonight. That will
probably help
somewhat. Did you have to use Silspa too? thanks. Faith G.

Thanks for all the info. The Vapor Rub got rid of the itch instantly. It may work
on ant bites etc to stop the itch too.I'm going to try the natural route 1st.
I ordered some stuff on Ebay thats going to knock it out fast.
One part of it is some type of fancy mud pack the other has a bunch of
different oils.Heres the list of the oils
*  Neem Oil
* Tea Tree Oil
* Karanja Oil
* Eucalyptus Oil
* Rosemary Oil
* Peppermint Oil
* Lavender Oil
P.S. I bought some 20 Mule Team BORAX to start washing everything with it.
Would it hurt me to soak in it? Its used in the Morgellions protocal.

CSAcid/Alkaline Water Maker

2008-07-08 Thread Brooks Bradley
Several months ago I sent Ode (posted to the general list) a url for the plans to a very effective Acid/Alkaline water maker. Unfortunately, the ISP handling the archives for that group, must have deleted the article. I have been unable to find the hard copy in our surviving library materials ( 95% of our hard copy library archives for general information burned in our catastrophic fire of my home and administrative centerin July, 2004), but did, recently, happen upon an interesting post addressing a simple method for making Acid/alkaline water fractions. I am including a reference and hope that it will still be valid
My apologies for such a tardy address for correcting my original shortcoming.

She used some that I had made around 25 PPM. I can contact her, but she
mentioned that it dosen't take much to go into the soap.
I have one bar left. I'd be glad to mail it to you so you could give it a

I soaked in 20 Mule Team BORAX for about 20 min. So far no itching on my
arms.Somebody on another forum talked about little white worms coming out of
her skin floating to the top.It happened with me,but it was dead skin cells.
I rubbed my skin some more a lot more dead skin cells came off.Great stuff.
Going to stock up on this stuff. Its good for everything.
