Because I have horses, and DMSO has historically been used on horses for many
things -- bruises/sprains/strains/etc. -- I have had DMSO in my horse supplies
for many, many years.  I've never had a bottle cavitate, dry out and/or
crack open.  Apparently, DMSO comes in bottles that can withstand the
contents.  Putting the DMSO into another plastic bottle may very well cause
those problems.  FWIW.

1.  Not only does DMSO cause some plastics to become brittle but it will
literally dissolve some plastics, rubber and latex which will cause it to be
drawn into the body. Extreme care should always be taken when not using
glass to mix or use DMSO.
2.  Some people use aloe vera gel or emu oil to help with the itching after
the DMSO has absorbed into the skin. DMSO causes the histamine to release
which causes the itching but after using it in the same area for a while the
histamine will deplete and no longer itch or as badly anyway.
This is from Garnet the person who owns [I'm not sure if she still does] the
DMSO yahoo group...
The itching that is immediate after DMSO application is due to the release
of histamine from mast cells in the skin. Once this depot of histamine has
been depleted with further use of DMSO on the same area in the following
hours or days the itching upon application will subside. Itching can be from
drying of the skin. I use Emu Oil because it is such a wonderful moisturizer
and not at all greasy, soaks right in. It is also an anti-inflammatory and a
carrier that approaches DMSO as far as subderm delivery goes. Aloe Vera gel
is also a good one and either can be used before the DMSO to prevent
drying..Garnet

Sandy -- have you looked into the use of Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey?  The
protocol should help with all of these issues.  The ACV needs to be
unpasterurized with the *mother*, and the honey should be raw honey.  Mix one
tablespoon of each with 4 ozs. of hot water and drink.  Twice a day.

I don't think that CS would help with any of those issues, even with DMSO
added.  CS is more of an antibiotic in nature.

Hi Lois -- yes, I should have taken that point further -- if the nose issue is
a
sinus infection of some sort, then CS would help with that.  If the nose issue
is an allergy issue, then the CS likely would not, but the ACV/Honey would
address it.  I'm going to go to the Puritan Pride site and check out their
ACV.
We buy ours at a local Amish market -- it's not cheap!
Thanks for the tip!

I should also have mentioned that it's always a good idea to purchase honey
from
a local bee-keeper because his(her) bees will have fed on local plants and this
helps to desensitize the body to local allergens.  But be sure that it's raw
honey, not pasteurized.  I'm glad that your son was successful with this
protocol.  That's exactly what I'm taking it for -- but I'm getting other
benefits as well.  :-)

Hi Sandy,

If you believe your post nasal drip and dry sore mouth is due to an infection
then clearly CS would be just what you would want to use and adding some DMSO
would help. I take 2 ounces of CS with about a 1/2 to 1/4 ounce of 99%
strength DMSO combined every night due to an infected tooth and it has helped
tremedously. I brush my teeth with it and then swish the CS/DMSO around and
drink the rest. I hope you are familiar with how to use DMSO and know you
always add the DMSO last to whatever your adding it to...it will cause some
warmth to the mixture which is perfectly normal...also stir the mixture with a
wooden popsicle stick or a clean wooden spoon handle or a glass stirer never
plastic or metal.

For your hip pain also use DMSO...it is excellent for such things. You might
even rub some magnesium oil on the hip and let it absorb for a bit then rub on
some DMSO with a cotton ball. May husband has lower back pain and this has
helped him.

Hope this helps.

suggested that you should use glass containers for mixing DMSO as a rule.
I know some use plastic spray bottles for mixing/applying DMSO but I am
always a little leery of that. Just my opinion. Lola H.

Hi Sandy,

If you believe your post nasal drip and dry sore mouth is due to an
infection then clearly CS would be just what you would want to use and
adding some DMSO would help. I take 2 ounces of CS with about a 1/2 to 1/4
ounce of 99% strength DMSO combined every night due to an infected tooth and
it has helped tremedously. I brush my teeth with it and then swish the
CS/DMSO around and drink the rest. I hope you are familiar with how to use
DMSO and know you always add the DMSO last to whatever your adding it
to...it will cause some warmth to the mixture which is perfectly
normal...also stir the mixture with a wooden popsicle stick or a clean
wooden spoon handle or a glass stirer never plastic or metal.

For your hip pain also use DMSO...it is excellent for such things. You might
even rub some magnesium oil on the hip and let it absorb for a bit then rub
on some DMSO with a cotton ball. May husband has lower back pain and this
has helped him.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
Just bought a Silver-Gen and have been using the silver in my mouth and
taking 2 oz two times a day. I have not seen improvement.
I would like to know how others have used DMSO and Silver. thinking that I
might need the penetration to see sucess.
Also is there a discussion group or web site that would have good knowledge
on DMSO and CS.

I have post nasal drip and dry sore mouth. Also digestive problems.
Also I would like any help for external use for hip pain.
Thanks a lot. Sandy

So true, Lola, good point and I agree. I always mix my DMSO in glass containers
because like you I am very concerned about using any type of plastic. I
recommend that everyone who considers using DMSO first familiarize themselves
with it. It's a wonderful natural product but very powerful as you no doubt
know. :)

I like that Brooks Bradley has given us a lot of good advice about using DMSO
with CS and other natural products.

Sandy in Texas's advice was spot on.  I would only  add that it is suggested
that you should use glass containers for mixing DMSO as a rule.  I know some
use plastic spray bottles for mixing/applying DMSO but I am always a little
leery of that.  Just my opinion.  Lola H.

1. Agreed on glass being better. DMSO always brittles and cracks
plastic around here.
2. How do you keep DMSO from itching for days after use?

RE: CSHow to use Silver and DMSO

2012-12-07 Thread Sandy
1.  Not only does DMSO cause some plastics to become brittle but it will
literally dissolve some plastics, rubber and latex which will cause it to be
drawn into the body. Extreme care should always be taken when not using glass
to mix or use DMSO.
2.  Some people use aloe vera gel or emu oil to help with the itching after the
DMSO has absorbed into the skin. DMSO causes the histamine to release which
causes the itching but after using it in the same area for a while the
histamine will deplete and no longer itch or as badly anyway.
This is from Garnet the person who owns [I'm not sure if she still does] the
DMSO yahoo group...
The itching that is immediate after DMSO application is due to the release of
histamine from mast cells in the skin. Once this depot of histamine has been
depleted with further use of DMSO on the same area in the following hours or
days the itching upon application will subside. Itching can be from drying of
the skin. I use Emu Oil because it is such a wonderful moisturizer and not at
all greasy, soaks right in. It is also an anti-inflammatory and a carrier that
approaches DMSO as far as subderm delivery goes. Aloe Vera gel is also a good
one and either can be used before the DMSO to prevent drying..Garnet

Some sorts of plastic obviously are not dissolved by DMSO, and some are.

A pdf http://www.arkema-inc.com/literature/pdf/361.pdf from Atpfina
called Dimethylsulfoxide: material compatibility says:

A few polymers can be recommended for prolonged contact with DMSO
polyethylene, polypropylene, pentafluoroethylene (PTFE), Kalrez. For
other polymers it is advisable to undertake compatibility tests.

CSHow to use Silver and DMSO

I would like to know how others have used DMSO and Silver. thinking that I
might
need the penetration to see sucess.
Also is there a discussion group or web site that would have good knowledge on
DMSO and CS.

I have post nasal drip and dry sore mouth. Also digestive problems.
Also I would like any help for external use for hip pain.
Thanks a lot. Sandy

Sandy,

You can try putting a half dropper full of CS into each nostril lying
flat on your back with your head over the edge of a bed. Look from side to
side to get the CS into the sinus cavity. Do this for three minutes a
couple times a day. After gargle with hydrogen peroxide to kill any
bacteria in the throat. Good luck.

I don't actually know why you're taking EIS/CS but if you think it may be
beneficial I'd be upping that dose to 8 ounces, maybe even 16 ounces a day for
a few days if you think it necessary, then back off to that 2 ounces and see
what transpires. Each 8 ounce glass made fresh each time and swallowing half
the glass straight down and swirling the remaining few mouthfuls around the
mouth and under the tongue for a couple of minutes before swallowing that. You
may find yourself paying a visit to the loo more frequently for a while to get
rid of water g.
Bearing in mind EIS/CS may not be what you need for whatever it is that ails
you? I haven't a clue?
