The ability to taste MSM must vary widely, from person to

In my experience, the MSM granules have a lot more taste than they have when
dissolved in anything liquid. When I open a bottle of wine, I add a half
teaspoon or so to the bottle. I add a few tablespoons to my restaurant type
sugar dispenser, when I refill it with a couple cups of sugar. I also add a
teaspoon of salt substitute (potassium salt) but that is a different topic.
That way, my tea always has a little MSM. I also put it in soup. I keep a
shaker type spice bottle of it handy, so I can add it to anything wet. I also
shake a little on my dog's meals to help with her joint damage.

It is nice that there is almost no way to overdose on MSM. It is less toxic
than sugar. A cup a day probably wouldn't hurt you. But a teaspoon or so a
day is all you need.

I don't think it is a matter of being a super taster or
having a not sensitive palette. It is a case of specific
chemicals having a strong taste or no taste, at all,
depending on the genetics that built your taste buds.

RE: CSRe: MSM

2000-08-01 Thread James Osbourne, Holmes
To make a saturated solution dissolve MSM in the silver until no more will
dissolve.

Decant the liquid without disturbing any remaining crystals in the bottom
of the mixing container.

This may be used in any manner that CS may be used, which means anywhere
including breathing it. Don't use a heat-type vaporizer; it will produce
mostly distilled water.

When used with a nebulizer, or airbrush, and oxygen it has amazing results
with lung and Upper Resp. conditions.

Some people get remarkable results with tablespoonfuls daily others quaff
quarts. Diarrhea with no other likely cause is an indication of taking too
much. I take a small swallow, most every day. More if I get sick. I have
not been sick very often since. Two colds, one flue in about 4 yr.

It is highly improbable that it can hurt you, and very probable it will
help.

Bottom line, do your own research, if you have concerns.

Note that if a person has a bacterial infection, they may get a fever,
chills, headache, etc, when starting on CS due to killed bacteria releasing
toxins; the Herx. Start small; increase slowly.

You may find much more detail and specific medical citations if you search
this list archives.

equimosis (small quantities of blood under the skin) at the neck, increases
the blood pressure and presents disphony due to the pressure exerted on the

   Kass

Wow, advising someone in this manner is quite a bit beyond me. I was only
telling you some of the gist of what I've read in The Miracle of MSM book.
I can see your concern however. I don't know what all you're doing
regarding the cancer situation. I suppose that as far as feeding the tumor
it would depend on what is going through your system feeding the darn
thing. If you're taking CS then if it were me I think I'd be checking into
the CS for cancer talk I've heard about here and there. I am myself
wondering how much benefit there really is in taking CS for cancer. There
are 2 people in my life currently fighting cancer and I would like to
encourage them to try it but I don't know enough about it so I'm pretty
reluctant. I don't want to give them false hope. I assume because you're on
the silver list that you are either taking CS or are curious about it.

Kass, I think a lot has to do with your diet, your supplements, if any,
what you think is the current state of your immune system, what type of
medical procedures you're undergoing, if any, and what you're doing in the
alternative world of therapies, if any. All these things would determine
what is feeding that tumor.

Helping someone with cancer scares me, to be quite frank. I think if
someone has had it with doctors and the medical profession in general and
insists on going the alternative route, and therefore needs suggestions and
advice, the best I could do would be to tell what I THINK I would do in the
same situation. Only thing is, that a person can't really be sure what they
would do until they're faced with it. Also, and I think this is the most
important point of all, EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. Each of us has to find their
own way.

Boy, I sure am not trying to put you off. I feel deeply for what you're
going through. I don't mean to discourage you but just so you'll know why I
feel so for your situation is that my own mother died of breast cancer at
the age of 35. I was 14 at the time and I became her caretaker. However,
much has been discovered since 1956, not so much in the medical world but
in the alternative realm. I have read that there are no incurable diseases.
I firmly believe that!

Sometimes it helps to have someone to bounce ideas off of. Another may be
able to ask questions that hadn't occurred to you or to make suggestions
that turn out to be helpful. As long as you fully realize the difference
between ideas/suggestions and advice. Be careful of anyone giving you
advice unless you totally trust that person and feel that they know what
they're doing.

Keep your eyes and ears open, don't automatically discard unfamiliar ideas,
listen, talk, read, and consider it all. Then make up your own mind. I know
I haven't been of much help to you and I've run on and on but I don't know
where your head is at on this at all. Maybe if you tell us more about your
situation it would help. If you have questions or answers regarding the
application of colloidal silver in your situation, then it would be of
interest to all of us. But I suppose if it gets too far off the silver
topic, it might be best if you were to privately e-mail your messages. What
do you think? And all you other fine people out there, do you have anything
to add for this woman going through this?

Wishing you the very best,

Sharon

I assume because you're
on
the silver list that you are either taking CS or are curious about it.

I think if
someone has had it with doctors and the medical profession in general and
insists on going the alternative route, and therefore needs suggestions
and
advice, the best I could do would be to tell what I THINK I would do in
the
same situation. Only thing is, that a person can't really be sure what
they
would do until they're faced with it. Also, and I think this is the most
important point of all, EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. Each of us has to find
their
 own way.

Lots of things. It is a carrier oil, so will carry all types of things
across the skin barrier. It is said that it is great for arthritis.

Also, creams, soap, etc made from emu oil are WONDERFUL on the skin.

Hi Sharon,
   Thanks for your support.
I've been treating my cancer for 7 years with alternative treatments.
Just recently started CS. I'm going to get the book you mentioned.
I think it is always helpful to hear what others have to say. We all are
different and have different experiences. Learning of others experiences
broadens my own.
   Thanks for your thoughts,
 Kass

Kass, please keep us informed as to how well the CS works for you. I am
intensely interested! Personally, I'm glad you're using alternative
treatments. The fact that you've been able to hold this at bay for 7 years
is, I think, a good sign and a tribute to you! The best of luck to you. I
mean this with all my heart.

Among it many attributes, MSM is reputed to reduce inflammation and pain.
It also dilates blood vessels thereby promoting increased circulation to
the extremeties. I have also learned on this list that it has the ability
to enhance the absorption of CS.

I have been thinking about making a colloidal silver cream for acne,
however, the problem is that when using a salve, the absorption into the
tissue will be greatly hampered. My question is that if I use MSM along
with a polymer, would it actually have an impact on absorption? I welcome
any comments.

I wonder if you could somehow figure a way to mix CS with Emu oil. Emu oil
is absorbed through the skin better than almost anything else.

James,

Emu oil is supposedly even more deeply penetrating than DMSO, and an
excellent carrier. I get mine from High Cascade...800 814-EMUS. They make
it from their own birds.
