No Paula, he is really healthy according to the doctors tests etc., he has
normal blood pressure, sugar, cholesterol is a bit low I think, liver tests
everything is what they call 'normal' so it is even more puzzling. Thank
you for your suggestion. Dee

Hi Dee,
Bilberry has been historically used for eye conditions. Might be worth
googling.
I am wondering if this isn't caused by some other underlying condition or
medication that he is taking, that needs to be addressed. Does he have any
conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes, etc? What meds?

Dee- My husband's hemorrhages were in the retina, resulting in
floaters. It sounds like your husband's are in the white of the eye
where they are visible? Is any of the blood inside the eye fluids on
just on the outside? I still think the bioflavonoids would be helpful.

It's possible to overlook the obvious. My husband
had 2 eye
hemorrhages. The first was when he was breaking
up a concrete patio
with a sledge hammer. He also took a capsule of
140,000 Cayenne pepper
the same day. Which would you blame?

The second bleed was when I was doing some heavy lifting and bending.
He hasn't had another one for a long time. There are herb combinations
like Dr. Christopher's formula and also ones with lutein, bilberry,
etc. that can be taken internally.

You are probably right Chuck, and the Vit C - lysine thing was supposed to
be Linus Paulings recommended protocol. I suppose it is the old adage i.e.
What suits one, will not suit another. Dee

Well
Back in the seventies, it was Linus Pauling's "Vitamin C and the
Common Cold" that started me into becoming a megavitamin freak.
In all the time since, I've never heard of C being a blood thinner,
and because I have a heart condition, I am vitally interested in blood
thinners (desirable in my case).
C and the bioflavenoids strengthen tissue.
A specific for bleeding gums.
C is a specific for scurvy, which sounds like the symptoms you
describe.

C has alway been a major cornerstone of my personal health regimen.
I take 8 to 16 grams daily. I have never differentiated as to type, I
take plain ascorbic acid.

I look upon those that prefer non-corn sources or other C preparations
as nitpickers with money to spare, as my experience doesn't justify
it.

But it all comes down to self experimentation.
YMMV

There is Vit C, and then there is rubbish.
Too much of the Rubbish is garbage, and bad for you garbage at that.
Daddybob can tell us about Rubbish marketed as Vit C.
He even found some with mold growing on it. Also, a lot of it is made from
Corn.

Even Xanthan gum in some coconut milk (corn).

Well I was told that Vit C would also strengthen blood vessels but as I
said, this only seemed to make things worse. I have no idea why, other than it
is a natural blood thinner and maybe this caused leakage in a weakened area. I
believe the vit c I used had added bioflavinoids. Thanks for input. Dee
