Praktikas tähendab see formaalse miinimumina (1) korra aastas aastakoosoleku korraldamist, (2) liikmemaksu kogumist ja (3) raamatupidamise korraldamist (domeeni pidamise kulu arved, iga-aastane äriregistri aruanne). Miinimumina pole jällegi asja iseenesest pidada, siis juba peaks edasi ka sisulisi tegevusi korraldama. Näiteks on võimalik KÜSK-ist ja mujalt raha küsida projektide tegemiseks, ja sellega või isegi isegi ilma selleta: korraldada OSM kokkusaamisi (tunamullune SOTM Baltics oli superedukas ju) võistlusi, koolitusi, loenguid hackfest-e/sprinte luua tehnilisi teenuseid, arendada edasi maakaardi-serverit, täiendada wiki ja eestikeelsete juhendite sisu, tõlkida id/JOSM, nominatim jt vahendeid teha leping OSMF-iga ametlikuks local chapteriks vormistamiseks jne jne. - -- Simone Girardelli _|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_ |_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_|_| -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1 iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJVQQ01AAoJEMTPIIVov0ZtbFwIALRl2mO2nJU0A229j6vbFm73 +S746f6YtnKaQYIlWhZduyVGT1OTvNiNTcm5OmwxMQ7rbfF5Wu3UGhbSan8MIIBB dmAPkIaH0Nop3Z/IRWbCuUKEl049ivGmeEfEqP+keGEHPY3Ae45fMkPhAxMRUZQI hr1I3p4uRam7U7TPgcOM4A9BYZTd/kE4lXmrI0qmRf0cnnSPsNmz45SySx8TJ347 6/NSoFzxgyySa+H2AoDGS1v+jO/PnK1i1/ICrfW9eaNIqwv2EkrFnPnbZt6n+II3 KgocxjAiraUeA7YX8h9x7DY1FARDtbg4GaiHCTeXDgszD9jb8npaASN0P01Y6A8= =mU60 -END PGP SIGNATURE- ___ Talk-it mailing list Talk-it@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-it

Belle initiative, merci Pierre.
Re: [Talk-in] Confusion over tagging POIs as using nodes or areas
Some things are better as points. man_made=water_tap would be such a small area that it would not be worth while mapping as an area. Most initial mapping occurs as points - quicker and easier for the mapper. And it does get the information across to the end user, the added information of an area is helpfull but the added time of mapping the data compared to the benefit is not as good as that of mapping it as a point. If you have the time to spare than by all means map the area. If on the other hand you can get more information onto the map by mapping things as points then map as points. Greatest benefit for the least amount of work? On 30/04/2015 2:04 AM, Arun Ganesh wrote: To me everything is ultimately an area (even a point, that you really really zoom into ;)) A point is thus only a convenient way of representing an area at a certain scale. On a world map, a city is a point, but on a city map, it becomes an area. Its possible to derive a point as a centroid of an area very easily, but you cannot get an area from a point. Looking at it this way, it just makes sense to map everything as an area whenever possible, and this makes points redundant. Hope I made the point clear.
On a side note: I looked into the history of Austraila's country node and found that the value of is_in:continent was changed from Australia to Oceania by the OSMF redaction account. Thus it seems place=continent;name=Australia is now outdated and not used. According to usage it seems clear that we are now using the regular Oceania classification. Wikipedia's list of continents (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continent) does not include Oceania but Australia. Oceania itself is classified as a region rather than a contient. I propose we change this to reflect to current usage. ___ Talk-it mailing list Talk-it@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-it
___ Talk-it mailing list Talk-it@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-it

Re: [Talk-in] Confusion over tagging POIs as using nodes or areas
To me everything is ultimately an area (even a point, that you really really zoom into ;)) A point is thus only a convenient way of representing an area at a certain scale.
-- Friedrich K.
