I can add every time I run the Folder-Maintenance I might as well
reboot, because whatever I do next will be weird ( man, I love those

leaks, or other issues.
I should say restart TB, not reboot..

I really hope that he informed the developers of Hamster about "dozens
of bugs". Could you ask him about that because it would be fair to

I've been using Hamster with several TB! betas and IMAP4 and I can'T

If you were right it wouldn't make sense but maybe you/Stefan just
used an old beta or made some mistakes in the configuration. Well, I
don't want to say that you did make mistakes and Hamster was bug free
which is wrong but Hamster has proven to work for many many beta
testers with different accounts and clients so it shouldn't be too but
ridden.

In fact, I trust the developers of Hamster more to provide a better
implementaion of IMAP4 than Ritlabs because of the less time Rit has
already spent on it and the number of knows problems that are
discussed on this list and are on Mantis.

So it might be the best to use Mercury/32 if its IMAP4 implementation
is much older and therefore less bug ridden.

I don't have deleted messages in my trash file, but I just tried with
my Inbox. I get a normal folder view, with a message list. Maybe you
message list pane is so small that only one message has space to be
shown?

Sorry, I don't understand. Are you saying it /should/ be fixed, in
which case I heartily agree but that doesn't answer the question. Or
are you saying that it /will/ be fixed?

I need to know 'cos the lack of this functionality is what's keeping

cost me to upgrade, but I'm waiting for Ritlabs to comment on that

Can it be that you have S/MIME enabled instead of PGP? I'll use "sign

No, it does not come up with a list of messages, only a single message is
displayed.

*My* "trash" folder seems to hold every message that I have ever deleted! I
have now tried the search function on "Deleted messages" from other folders
but the result is still zilch.

As you say, hm! Maybe changing to v2.0 beta 2 has corrupted my folder

Under Folder --> Browse Deleted Messages
View --> Message List (is it enabled?)

If not, you will see only ONE message at a time! The search function
(CTRL-F, F7 or Edit --> Find) all work from there!

I don't understand this. How do you know it holds every message "ever
deleted" if you see only one?

And if it holds "every message ever deleted", this question comes to
mind: Don't you ever compress folders?

No offence, but I'm starting to get the feeling there is only this one
deleted message in your trash folder.

TF>> Hm.

I don't think so, because even though the folder structure was changed
somewhere in the current beta series, the messages bases weren't.
Please let me ask: from which version did you upgrade to the current
beta?

Further to my message sent about an hour ago, I have done some more testing
and now realise that although the search icon appears on the window which is
named "Deleted messages - folder xyz", by default the is
set to search , NOT the deleted messages from that folder. There
does not seem to be any obvious way to get it to search through the deleted
messages, unless I'm just being stupid!
