And you can't resize the dialog and why is it modal? Actually, thinking about it, there's a lot of modal nonsense going on in TB. Grrr. Strange filtering/message tossing issue.
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hello All, I've been noticing a peculiar problem with The Bat!. Messages coming in for my 5 accounts get tossed into whatever mailbox strikes the program's fancy... Doesn't matter what account or what mailbox. For example, when I fired up my laptop a short while ago and started The Bat!, it pulled in some 50 or 60 messages for 3 of the 5 various accounts. (Picked up from 3 different mail servers, of course.) They were tossed into random mailboxes. Most of them landed in the JUNK folder of the first account. Others were randomly dispersed; some correct, some wrong. This problem has been with the program for quite a while now; I've reported it to the bug submission address, but some software engineer type person at Ritlab marked the problem "solved" - no comments, no solutions, no nothing. Does anyone have any ideas on this? It's a really annoying but non-fatal. Has anyone else run into it? (BTW, it happens on any machine. I have copies of The Bat! installed on 2 machines and the same quirk shows up.) Moving through unread messages
Hi, I prefer to move through unread messages in full view and then jump to next unread message with CTRL-ALT-RIGHT. This does work, but in which order? If I read the first unread message in a thread and then want to jump to the next unread in the same thread, it mostly moves to another message in another thread. This is confusing. The Bat MAPI Conflicts with Chapura Pocket Mirror (?)
Hi, I'm trying to set up my PalmOS handheld to sync with The Bat via MAPI. It works fine on my home PC. However, on my work PC, where I must sync my Palm device to our corporate calendaring system (MS Outlook) via Chapura's Pocket Mirror product (www.chapura.com), I'm running into a problem: It appears that Pocket Mirror needs the MS version of mapi32.dll in order to run, and it appears that The Bat replaces this file with its own version. Pocket Mirror will not work with The Bat's version. If you try to open Pocket Mirror's settings with The Bat's mapi32.dll in c:\winnt\system32, you get this error: "CCMgr.exe - Ordinal Not Found. The Ordinal 21 could not be located in the dll MAPI32.dll." In addition, with The Bat's version of mapi32.dll in place, the Outlook calendar conduit does not show up at all in the Hotsync custom settings box (it's as if you don't have Pocket Mirror installed). So, is there a way to use The Bat for MAPI but not replace the system's MAPI32 dll? Is there any other way to fix this? (I've already looked at Chapura's support site and they don't offer any options...This is especially odd since Pocket Mirror does *not* sync e-mail!) I'm using 1.54 beta 18. Yahoo slow?
Hi, I'm using, as you see, Yahoo for my email. I have never any problems with it. In the past I used Hotmail which is really s..t. When I post a message to this list then it takes a while (an hour or sometimes two days) to see my posting appearing in the list. Sometimes I receive the replies much earlier. Strange. Some say that this is a problem of Yahoo. But what if I never experienced this problem in other lists?. Is it really Yahoo or could the problem be at the side of this list? If you can convince me that Yahoo is the problem then I will search for another email service. In that case: which do you suggest? Thanks. -- Marc van Breemen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _ Do You Yahoo!? Just curious why ....
Hi to you all, I'm a former Calypso user which is, as you maybe know, now orphaned by the owner. So let's say it's dead. Now I am looking for the best replacement. Two email clients are left in my search: Becky and The Bat. Both are extremely good. BUT: I want a email client that will last for a long long time. I don't want to start using a email client again that will be discontinued at some time. Can I rely on RitLabs that they introduce The Bat version 2 in the very near future? They are building it for more than two years now. Still no beta to see, that is not really promising. MCS, the former developer of Calypso, also promised to introduce new versions and then suddenly pulled the plug out; because: "You can't beat Outlook". Why wouldn't this happen with The Bat? Why not?. Can anybody explain me why RitLabs introduces new features (like common folders) in an 'old' version (version 1.xx) when they are very (I hope) busy with finishing (I hope) version 2.? If I were them I put all my effort in completing version 2 and, besides solving the serious bugs, quit developing version 1. Why not? Tell me, why not? Seriously, I like The Bat very much, so don't take my comment as an attack. I'm just worried. Greetings, Marc van Breemen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _ Do You Yahoo!? Forwarding in Outlook
At work we use Outlook / Exchange (sadly but true). I want to forward all my email to my private email adress. At this way I can read and write email within f.e. The Bat. I know how to define a filter in Outlook that forwards the email to another adress. But: it only works if I forward it to an internal email adress. It doesn't work if I forward it to my private email adress. Writing a email message in Outlook to my private email adress does work. Does anybody know why it doesn't work? Thanks! _ Do You Yahoo!?
