Re: [tw5] Muuri Storyview

2020-10-17 Thread Atronoush Parsi
Question:

Assume you use Murri with 3 columns and then click on the column button to
switch to 4! But then you want to return to three columns!
Right now you have to cycle, click to switch to 5 and six columns and then
1, 2 and finally 3 columns.
Is there any way like shift+click to return from 4 to 3? or any simpler
method?
I know shift+click is not good for touch screens!

[tw5] Re: $list with filter stored in a variable with inside

2020-10-17 Thread Shareda
Hello, Mark S! Thank you for your attention to my question. The reason I
have not included the entire text is because of its complexity. In
particular, validate.search.regexp is a macro that uses another macro. And
this whole tiddler doesn't work without it's transclusion through the
ViewTemplate. I can attach the export of all the necessary tiddlers, but it
seemed to me that the right way to go by a more precise formulation of the
question.

Your answer inspired me with the idea that *I should apply $wikify not only
to the final macro, but also to the nested one*. And voila! Everything
works fine! Thank you for answering me, it really helped!

[tw5] Re: Tags stopped being able to add

2020-10-17 Thread Corey S
Another option, at least it used to be, iirc:

MAKE A COPY OR OTHERWISE BACKUP FIRST. Never experiment with your
production/live TiddlyWikis.

delete the system tiddler that controls tagging.
I seem to recall that all of the core system tiddlers had a hidden backup
in case of corruption. Deleting it will cause a reload of the missing
tiddler next time you start it.
That was many years ago though and I don't use TW5 much at all yet, just
dabble.

I hope one of the more knowledgeable can chime in.

Put simply I cannot add a tag(s) to any tidders, new or existing.
 Wiki saves fine.

 Any ideas?

That's definitely a way-over-my-pay-scale problem, but that may be exactly

It would be worth mentioning which plug-ins' are installed.

If possible and the best: is there a way you can make a copy of your

[tw5] Re: Muuri Storyview

2020-10-17 Thread BurningTreeC
Hi @Saq, thank you!

1) I've now fixed your issue with using the core $:/core/ui/ViewTemplate as
a template, it does no more lay out using the columns of the
columns-button. Their width however needs to be defined using a css...

The list widget that uses the muuri storyview accepts some additional
attributes, they just aren't documented yet... For example the
"containerClass" attribute sets a class for the element that contains the
muuri items

2) There's another attribute ("storyList") that defines the tiddler whose
list field should be updated. This defaults to "$:/StoryList"

3) Most of the css is only active if the $:/view tiddler is set to muuri,
but I'm about to add some sane css defaults that are always active

>This could be a lot of fun to use for a pinboard. I also see potential for
having two stories side by side, one with the classic storyview and one
with muuri.

Yes that's true, and yes, I'd be intrigued to see it in action in a
two-story-view, would be really cool (for a future release it's planned
that one can drag from one story to another btw)

Thanks @Saq,

all the best, BTC

Surprisingly... YES!!

After you install the TW5-visjs plugin, you can show, for example, the
SampleTimeline ("Science Timeline")
by writing:
<$visjstimeline filter="[tag[SampleTimeline]]"
startDateField="timeline.start" endDateField="timeline.end"
format="MMDD"/>

Note: I changed the Timeline field names in my Calendar code (and in the
SampleTimeline event tiddlers)
"start-date" -> "timeline.start"
"end-date" -> "timeline.end"
"date-type" -> "timeline.type"

Other than those changes to the field names, everything just works!!

You're showing us bits and pieces. In particular, you're not showing us

When I try this on TiddlyWiki.com :

it runs fine. So I think we need to know more about your regular

[tw5] Re: Tags stopped being able to add

2020-10-17 Thread Charlie Veniot
It sounds like, maybe, a core tiddler is messed-up or something is
overriding a core tiddler ? Regardless, likely way over my head.

Just to clarify, which "part" of adding tags is broken?

The field in which you type the label for the new tag? The "+" symbol to
create a new tag with the typed in label ?

In the sidebar's "More" / "Tags", can you access the Tags manager and does
it work okay ?

What recently added plugins did you install? (Maybe un-installing one or
more of those plugins might be required.)

[tw5] Re: TiddlyTools/timer.html - Calendar feature improvements

2020-10-17 Thread Eric Shulman

Another update to http://TiddlyTools.com/timer.html:

Events for a given calendar day are now sorted by the name of the
EventList/Timeline/.ics tiddler in which they are defined.

This makes it possible to prioritize the use of custom event colors by
changing the names of the defining tiddlers.

For example, if you want your SchoolEvents color to take precedence over
any other custom event colors,
you could rename "SchoolEvents" to "1SchoolEvents". Note that you can use
the caption field on the tiddler
to "hide" it's real name, so it could still appear as "School Events" in
the Calendar interface.

Also note that this sorting extends to the event description text as well.
Thus, if there are several events
on the same day that are all defined in the same EventList/Timeline/.ics
tiddler, they will now be sorted
alphabetically by description.

[tw5] $list with filter stored in a variable with inside

2020-10-17 Thread Shareda
Hello!
I have full.filter variable containing one or more +runs evaluated
dynamically. The simplest value is like this:
[all[tiddlers]!is[system]has[cite_no]]
+[search:text:regexp]

<> gives a valid regexp that can contain sqare
brackets, etc.

I am trying to run
<$list filter=<>>
search results representation

Also I tried to add
<$wikify name="full.filter" text=<>>
before the list widget. But still no correct results.

What syntax should I use?

BUG FIXES:
1) when more than one event on the same day had a custom color, neither
custom color was being used.
2) when copying an EventList, Timeline, or .ics tiddlers (using the
Calendar Settings panel) the "eventcolor" custom color field wasn't being
copied
3) also when copying, internal data values were written into the copied
events, resulting in corrupted description text for those events.

Re-import TiddlyTools/Time/Calendar to get the fixes.

[tw5] Re: Muuri Storyview

2020-10-17 Thread BurningTreeC
Hello @Ste, thanks!

The columns button has no effect on mobile, there I decided to make it two
columns, but I'm inclined to make it a single column if the column-button
is set to "1"
More than two columns seem indeed to be a bad thing on mobile, tiddlers get
too narrow then and become unreadable and difficult to handle

On mobile. Looks good. I can drag things round nicely.
The columns button doesn't seem to make any difference.
I set it to one thinking that would push everything into a single column
but it remained at two.
I also couldn't drag to an extra column for 3 or more, but that's probably
not a bad thing on mobile.

Can we use the new muuri plugin the same way as two rivers stream plugin

I've just updated http://TiddlyTools.com/timer.html to add "custom event
colors" to the Calendar.

To define a custom event color, edit an EventList tiddler, Timeline
tiddler, or .ics tiddler and
add a field named "eventcolor" containing any valid CSS color value (i.e.,
#rrggbb, #rgb, or X11 color name).

If events from different tiddlers with custom colors occur on the same day,
the color that is used will come from the first event listed for that day.
