[Bug 455073] Re: A mouse pointer keeps reappearing during video playback in smplayer
@#29: Nice trick! @rvm: Even if this is a distro patch which triggers this ghost moving of the cursor, you mention twice that smplayer receives the mouse event and shows the cursor. Specifically, that the patch causes the mouse event to be sent to smplayer, but that smplayer has the decision to show the cursor or not. Might it be a good idea to set a threshold on mouse movement before deciding to show the cursor then? This would also help people with sensitive mouses which see the cursor appear as a result of the impact on the mouse from loud bass from loudspeakers, vibrations in the computer table, etc. Basically a fix with an improvement added on for free? I know from experience that when I grab the mouse or finger the pad to get at controls, I move the mouse a lot, like at least half the screen. A threshold on how much movement would be required to trigger the display of the cursor seems a good idea in any case, and is standard behavior on many other players. Just an idea. Which I hope you'll like, cause this problem is a showstopper for me, even if it isn't your doing ;) -- A mouse pointer keeps reappearing during video playback in smplayer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/455073 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 409101] Re: ttf-liberation renders half ttf-mscorefonts-installer useless, though the rest may still be needed
I've noticed, that mscorefonts are available packaged in deb package too, see ttf-microsoft-corefonts package: http://archive.debian-maintainers.org/unofficial/packages/microsoft-corefonts/ https://launchpad.net/~ivan1986/+archive/ppa/+packages It seems font license now allows to distribute the fonts not only in original compressed cab archive (.exe_ form, but also in other forms, like tar and deb packages - look at license file in ttf-microsoft- corefonts package above. [Bug 668666] Re: ubuntuone-syncdaemon check all the files every time
Hi duanedesign, this morning my PC was in synchronization completed status. From the u1sdtool --status command I receive the queues status = IDLE. So I'm sure that all my stuff is synchronized. I have applied your command above and restarted my PC. As expected the ubuntuone-syncdaemon has started making all local server rescan. As requested I attach the compressed archive syncdaemon.log.tar.gz which contain the file syncdaemon.log and other similar files, in particular syncdaemon.log.2010-11-07_09-24-35_start that is the first created after the reboot. I hope this can help. Please note that I had some issues with my wireless connection and the time needed to complete the rescan is longer than normal. note: my first description of the bug above may appear too critical, but actually is not true. I have to say that when the rescan is concluded, Ubuntu One works very well during the day. I understand that every time the PC is restarted, Ubuntu One have to know if folders and files are synchronized or not, but perhaps it's possible a better solution than the complete rescan. I don't know if other similar tools (Dropbox, SpiderOak, Wuala, etc.) have the same problem because I have never used them with a so high number of files and GB. Anyway, using a notebook like me, means that I can restart it quietly often, and a full rescan that slow down the PC for a half hour or more can be a problem. ** Attachment added: syncdaemon debug logs https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntuone-client/+bug/668666/+attachment/1725576/+files/syncdaemon.log.tar.gz -- ubuntuone-syncdaemon check all the files every time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/668666 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 568275] Re: No JS in 0.12.0~svn2018-6ubuntu2
Hi, here are the changes that need do be done for maverick. You need mediatomb_0.12.1.orig.tar.gz and the files I've attached. Than you can do dpkg-source -x mediatomb_0.12.1-0ubuntu1custom2.dsc. For every xulrunner update you need to update the dependencies for the new version in the control file (the _2_ lines containing xulrunner-1.9.2-dev (=1.9.2.12), xulrunner-1.9.2-dev ( 1.9.2.13) ) and add an new entry in the changelog file. Thats all. The problem is that xulrunner updates very often. :-( Maybe this could be avoided by renaming the mediatomb executable to mediatomb.real and make the mediatomb comand a wrapper script containing: #!/bin/sh IFS= LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/xulrunner-`xulrunner --gre-version` /usr/bin/mediatomb.real $@ or something. Unfortunaly there is, afaik, no symlink that always points to the most recent version of xulrunner. That would make live much easier. ** Attachment added: mediatomb-with-js.tar.bz2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mediatomb/+bug/568275/+attachment/1725633/+files/mediatomb-with-js.tar.bz2 -- No JS in 0.12.0~svn2018-6ubuntu2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/568275 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 650670] Re: mplayer stops ogg streaming, repeating Cache not filling!
I got caught by this bug in mplayer, the cache not filling! messages caused my internet radio stream recordings to die after about 25 minutes. The number of messages caused the mplayer session to die. My sessions are initiated by a cron job and additionally the session resides is a detached screen session (screen -dmS sessionname commandname) . The reason behind this is mplayer needs a terminal to bind to for it's standard out. For me, this problem began after I upgraded from Lucid to Maverick. I have found a work around to the problem, this involves launching mplayer with the -nocache switch. This obviously stops it using a cache and then no messages about the cache not filling are emitted during the streaming session. One side effect to be aware of is mplayer doesn't spawn a child process with this switch. I had to modify my parent python program to only check for one process not two for a successful mplayer session to start. My mplayer command looks like this: mplayer -endpos 01:00:27 -quiet -nocache -vo null -vc dummy -ao pcm:waveheader:file=~/record/3rrr/work07Nov/MHR07Nov10.wav.wav http://media.on.net/radio/114.m3u. My mplayer version is reported as MPlayer 1.0rc4-4.4.5. Hope this helps others with a work around while the bug is being worked on. [Bug 312401] Re: Sound Juicer have no MP3 selection, but can be edit under profile ?
sorry for the bump, but this problem still exists. it should be pretty easy to fix by adding the appropriate packages to the dependencies or just make a virtual package sound-juicer-mp3. I don't know how how to most elegantly handle this. the point is: i remember that every time i install sound juicer i try to activate the mp3 profile and when that fail i install lame (stupid me) just to find that that is not enough. then i hit google and find that the solution is pretty easy. so it would be great if this could somehow be automated. with mavericks new checkbox at install time to use restricted formats like mp3 one could perhaps depend on that and always just install mp3 support by default if the user has chosen to use it. -- Sound Juicer have no MP3 selection, but can be edit under profile ? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/312401 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp I boot into ubuntu and the Wifi icon will be on the top panel towards the right hand side near the date and time. Sometimes when i boot into ubuntu and log into my account the Wifi icon will appear on the top left hand side of the top panel just under the Ubuntu logo on the top panel. The Wifi icon mostly appears just under the Ubuntu logo on the left of the top panel but then randomly between restarts it does return back to its original location that being the right hand side of the top panel next to the date and time. It's very annoying that the Wifi icon does not stay in it's default place. [Bug 640100] Re: Maverick fails to wake up on Samsung N150
** Tags added: regression-release resume suspend ** Description changed: Recently upgraded from 10.04LTS to 10.10 Beta on a Samsung N150 NetBook. Since update, my netbook does not resume from suspend state after lid is opened. Power, disk, and wireless activity lights turn on, but screen does not wake up. I cannot ssh into the netbook from a remote host so I do not think that the network is resuming even though the wireless light indicates that the card is on. I have to power off/on the netbook once it is hung in this state. I've examined /var/log/messages after power cycling but I don't see any relevant errors. I would be happy to submit applicable logs or provide more information if someone could point me in the right direction.
