Re: [Ubuntu-QC] Banshee

2013-03-05 Thread tottto

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:banshee-team/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install banshee

version.

mon Nexus)

Merci et bonne semaine !

Well, create a file called ~/.config/banshee-1/always-debug, then restart
Banshee and wait. The next time it crashes, copy out ~/.config/banshee-1/log and
upload it. That'll tell us what's going wrong.

[Ubuntu-BR] Banshee ou Rhythmbox não tocam rádio

2011-07-25 Thread Júlio Bispo
Boa noite, pessoal!

http://www.tupi.fm/aovivo/audio/
http://cbn.globoradio.globo.com/Player/playerAoVivoRJ.htm
http://www.radioriodejaneiro.am.br/RRJsiteCMS/ProgramacaoTempoReal.html

http://ubuntuforum-br.org/index.php?topic=68039.0.

[Bug 777112] Re: Notification Area Icon - not working, Ubuntu 11.04, Banshee 2.0.0

2011-05-10 Thread alexds9
Solution:

First of all, get the list of applications that registered in systray-
whitelist of Unity panel, in terminal:

gsettings get com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist

in my case:

['JavaEmbeddedFrame', 'Mumble', 'Wine', 'Skype', 'hp-systray', 'scp-
dbus-service']

now we need to add Banshee to this list, in terminal:

gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist
['JavaEmbeddedFrame', 'Mumble', 'Wine', 'Skype', 'hp-systray', 'scp-
dbus-service', 'banshee']

now, restart.
if Notification Area Icon enabled in Banshee, problem solved!

In Banshee 2.0, go to Edit - Preferences. In the Extensions tab,
almost at the bottom of the list, there is a Notification Area Icon
which is not enabled by default. Enabling this does the trick (at least
for Ubuntu 10.10; haven't tried it on 11.04, but it should work also).

Actually I'm still running Ubuntu 10.10; I was trying out Banshee
2.0.0 and ran into the notification area issue. It found the report
on launchpad while searching for a solution, and added my vote, but
I was in a hurry and missed the part about 11.04. Sorry. I just
installed 11.04 on a different partition but haven't had a chance to
really try it out. I'll check to see if Banshee has that problem in
11.04.

http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/samba#monter_manuellement_et_automatiquement_un_dossier_partage_dans_le_systeme_de_fichiers

gestionnaire de fichiers Nautilus. Le nouveau dossier doit être vide;
commande suivante:
gksudo gedit /etc/fstab

aucune authentification:
//iomega-xx/music   /home/gilbert/Musique_NAS   smbfs   _netdev,guest   0   0

ou si le partage nécessite une authentification:
//iomega-xx/music   /home/gilbert/Musique_NAS   smbfs
_netdev,username=IDENTIFIANT_NAS,password=MOT_DE_PASSE_NAS 0 0

personnel, tu devrais y voir toute la musique de ton NAS;

http://blog.nicolargo.com/2010/11/utilisation-du-protocole-nfs-avec-votre-nas.html
*

music -fstype=nfs,rw,intr 192.168.0.110:/music*)

Si tu en as

Si tu en as

Import Medias, Import from: Folders, Choose Folders: music sur

[ubuntu-uk] banshee and devices..?

not sure if this is my pc or is the current state of banshee, but atm,
as far as devices go, it only detects/shows cds. No other device is
shown, and sometimes it even complains it can only display one device at
a time (I think I've read this is correct at the moment). However,
gnome/hal/whatever picks the devices up, as when they're plugged in, my
selected media player opens.
Any ideas anyone? Or shall I just wait for an update?

Re: [ubuntu-uk] Banshee ( music players generally)

2009-04-28 Thread Rowan Berkeley
In my own case, virtually all my music files are labelled and tagged
according to my own system, which doesn't correspond to anybody's
database, so it's a waste of time, and in any case they are mainly grey
labels, demos, unreleased tracks, and such. But anyone with a big
library of ripped commercial albums might find this interesting, since
the process of cover-art-seeking is non-voluntary and starts as soon as
you populate Banshee's library: Where does Banshee get its cover art?
Banshee looks first in the audio file itself for embedded artwork, then
in the folder the file is in, then from Rhapsody, then Amazon, then
finally Last.fm. RealNetworks acquired Rhapsody on Aug 3 2003. The
Rhapsody service was briefly known as RealRhapsody shortly after the
acquisition, but has since shortened back to Rhapsody. Downloaded files
come with restrictions on their use, enforced by Helix, RealNetworks'
version of digital rights management. Thus, Banshee is reporting the
entire contents of your music collection to a DRM enforcement agency.

It does if you tick the box that says to save meta data to the files
 in the preferences dialog :)

I found this out the hard way. I retagged loads of music, then moved
the music to another machine only to discover my changes were lost.

I asked in the #banshee channel on irc and was told to do the
following on the first machine, the one that has the up to date
 banshee database.

 0) In banshee, edit - preferences - general - write metadata to
 files (tick that!)
 1) Select all files in the library
 2) Right click and edit track information
 3) Change something minor like the comment field
 4) Press the little icon to ripple that change to that field to all
 tracks (this takes a while)
 5) Hit save.

What it will then do is flush out _all_ the meta data in the database
to the files. That way you can then move the collection to another
location and the meta data will go with it.

 Cheers,
 Al.

cool thanks :) It didn't used to work though... I'm sure of it. Though I
used to run ubuntu on my laptop... it was so crap it hardly counted as a
laptop, so maybe it just couldn't work out how to write the metadata :P
The only reason I don't use Banshee atm is because of the filter box. It
doesn't work. sometimes I can type something in and it finds it. Other
times, I can be LOOKING AT the album, then I type it into the filter
(doesn't matter which field I have it set to), and it says no results
found. I haven't noticed any banshee updates recently, so I haven't
checked it out... do you have this problem with it?

[ubuntu-in] Banshee

2008-10-09 Thread Biswajit Dutta Baruah
Something I've been wanting to ask for a long time now.

I use Banshee on my gnome desktop, and I love it. The new banshee was
out some time back, that is version1.0 (the most recent though is 1.2
released a couple of day earlier.

I also did read somewhere that Intrepid is going to have this new
version. Since that is a good three weeks away I was wondering if I
could get it right away. There is a banshee-1 package available for
Hardy. All I nneded to do was to enable the launchapd ppa source to
download and install this version of banshee.

My questions:
1. If I install this banshee-1 package am I going to have two versions
of banshee?
2. When I upgrade to Intrepid, will the banshee that I install auto
upgrade to the new version?

if you haven't installed the non-PPA version then you will have only

remove the main repos Banshee out. But, are you sure that the PPA
version is going to be maintained?

When you run a distribution upgrade, it is going to comment out all
custom added repositories like PPAs, so it won't go through the upgrade
at all. After the upgrade you will still have the things from the older
release's PPAs hanging around. You have then upgrade your PPAs to the
current release by uncommenting them and changing them to point to the
current release PPAs.

Hope this answers your queries. HTH :)
