Re: ApacheCon 2015
Those are not really a work around, but rather a mechanism to falling back to the more flexible tools when more efficient tools don't suffice for a certain screen/etc, and they are all over the framework. The best practice is not to avoid them altogether, but rather when you use platform-specific.html or whatever that you also include alternatives for other platforms (or rather, render modes) like xsl-fo, csv, or whatever. This can be done in OFBiz, though the tag names are a little funny and don't make what you're doing as obvious. -David On 16 Apr 2015, at 04:24, Adrian Crum adrian.c...@sandglass-software.com wrote: True, there are widget elements that allow you to use HTML-specific artifacts, but those were created as a workaround. ApacheCon 2015
Hi List: Just a quick note: I've submitted a few presentation suggestions on the Confluence site: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/OFBiz+track+@+Apachecon+US+2015+in+Texas,+Austin+-++April+13-17,+2015 For the OFBiz Developer: From Zero- to- Hero and Developer Training session(s) - should they be selected - I will draw upon the content from a week long, classroom based training session that I have successfully delivered on a number of occasions. (I recently updated the content to reflect release 13.x.) If anyone is at all interested, I've pulled out all the slides (no narrative) and created a PDF that you can download here (free of charge): http://www.aesolves.com/store/products/p_TR-0734-CL Please refer any questions or comments to: rhoff...@aesolves.net or http://www.aesolves.com/control/contact Best Regards, Ruth Hoffman

More ApacheCon 2015
Hi List: Sorry about the previous duplicate posts. Having some issues signing up for the list. About ApacheCon 2015: I also submitted a proposal for a presentation titled Apache OFBiz Top 10. The inspiration for this presentation can be found in a brochure I wrote (some time ago) based on the most common reasons my clients have chosen OFBiz. You can download a free copy of the brochure on my website: http://www.aesolves.com. Make sure you scroll down the page to where the download buttons appear. As always, any comments or suggestions are welcome: rhoff...@aesolves.net Best Regards, Ruth Hoffman
