[SOGo] Always display external images from specific user/domain

2023-08-10 Thread Federico J
Hello,By default SOGo does not display external images on emails, however we
regularly send corporative communications to our internal users which include
images and need them to be shown automatically.
Is there a way to make SOGo automatically display images from incoming emails
from our domain or a specific email address?
Thank you

[SOGo] Changing default user settings

2023-03-15 Thread Federico J
Hello, new SOGo user here!I've just deployed SOGo and would like to set a
different default value for user settings which are in Preferences .
For example, for new users the default value for "Compose messages in" is
"HTML", I'd like the default for all users to be "Plain text".Or to enable
desktop notifications by default.
For what I read these settings are not set on sogo.conf.
Is there any way to do this?Thank you!!

I thought it only gets overriden if you enter mail options and click save, what
you wouldn't do if you not there, so it should survive the off day at least.

[SOGo] strange behaviour of one user when sending attendee invitation using thunderbird

2018-11-26 Thread "J. Echter"

Hi,

i have a user i want to be an attendee of my event, so i sent him an
invitation.

So far so good.

But if the attendee accepts the invitation i get a acceptance message
from another user, i can alos see the message in the other users sent
folder.

This only happens in thunderbird, not using webmail.

So far as i can see is this the only occurrance, other users work fine
with thunderbird.

Only thing i've seen is that the user has more than one mail account
setup in thunderbird, as well in sogo.

So my question is what can be wrong in my setup?

Thunderbird Version: 60.2.1

SOGo Add-Ons are also upgraded to the latest.

SOGo Version: 2.3.23.20181125-1.el7.centos

Ok, good to know. I’m still checking out SOGo, so I didn’t realize I could
selectively turn off servers. I’m assuming that also applies to the web server
?

Can I also configure the data store to use an existing MySQL server on my

[SOGo] Possible to run just CalDAV ?

I was wondering if it is possible to configure SOGo so that only the

I currently have a SMTP/IMAP service and would like to only add calendaring

Is this currently possible ?

I have added the line to my sogo.conf file in the SOGoUserSources section (of
sql type, by the way), and restarted sogo daemon. But I have to type a dot to
see my contacts in the "Address Book" application.

I have removed my .thunderbird directory (to start from scratch) and
reconfigured my account, but nothing changes.

Am I missing anything?

Thanks.

[SOGo] Thunderbird "Domain Address Book" empty when using SOGo Integrator

2017-07-14 Thread "J. Carlos Romero"
Hello, my first message to the list.

I have installed the "SOGo Connector" and "SOGo Integrator" extensions for
Thunderbird. Everything working fine, except one thing:

I can not see the contacts in the "Domain Address Book". I know the contacts
are there, because if I write a dot in the search box of the "Address Book"
application they all appear magically. Nevertheless, the Name column is not as
expected (the full name of the contact) but the prefix username of the mail
address (the part before the @ sign).

Am I missing anything? I'm using the last version of everything (SOGo 3.2.10,
Connector 31.0.5 and Integrator 31.0.5)

Thanks in advance.

[SOGo] Ssl and reverse proxy

2016-07-27 Thread Andrew J Hacker
Trying to install Sogo on a backend server with a front end apache proxy

Tried a few different things but generally trying to get this working and
having all kinds of issues.
Not sure where to put different pieces of the Apache config...
user -> SSL -> Front end Apache mod_proxy -> HTTP (80) -> Backend apache
mod_proxy (proxy HTTP to 127.0.0.1:2)
i have alias for webresources on back end and proxypass on front and for 443 to
80 and then again on the backend from 80 to 2
i get many different errors from 404's on the JS to can't find SOGo index to
infinite loops.
Are there any guidelines for doing this?
I could map the 443 on the front end directly to port 2 on the backend but
then i can't do aliasing
Thanks!Andrew

[SOGo] SOGo vacation and catchall address - unknown mail transport error

2016-07-12 Thread "J. Echter"

Hi,

i have a small Problem with my vacation script.

I set up vacation, sent a mail from my private account and got the
response i wanted...

...but i also have a catchall (archive) adress set up and some of those
vacation mails going to the catchall address are now stuck as 'deferred'
in the postfix queue.

If i reroute those stuck messages its always a vacation response which
should go to my catchall address.

Anyone know how to fix this (as i can't see whats going on)?

Just updated the CentOS 7 repo, adding signatures; let me know if the
newer packages still complain.

(I would suggest a `yum clean all` first, to ensure local copies of
packages fetched pre-signatures are not playing tricks on you.)

Hi,

this time i had no complains from yum.

You have support to MAPI natively using Outlook Anywhere from Outlook
2007 to Outlook 2013 with OpenChange.

See http://sogo.nu/about.html for details.

If you are interested in this feature, do not hesitate to ask in info

Yes, but it will be only available from Outlook/to Outlook except for
events which will be also edited from SOGo Webmail.

We are right now working on it. There are several patches already done
and some of them in the oven. Including new features such as "Edit own"
and "Delete own" permissions along with "Folder Contact" and "Folder
Owner" ones that are only available in MAPI protocol.

I'm certainly sure the feature will be available during this February in
Zentyal solutions (Zentyal Server and Zentyal Cloud) and surely some
time later in SOGo packages.

Hi,

i'm sitting in front of the very same problem.

I have imap over ssl, smtp over ssl, sieve over ssl, ldap over ssl, but
mysql with sogo user forced to use ssl gets me an user@host with
password: yes is not accepted.

Any hints on what we could do wrong?

Or is ssl for mysql not supported?

Does it work with stunnel? Any things i should have in mind regarding
memcached?

If i restore the whole sogo mysql database i've seen that some infos
still pointing to the wrong server (the one it was installed before).

This doesnt happen if i use sogo-tool to restore users.

Any hints on the right way of moving a sogo server to a new host with a

That's true. OpenChange manages natively MAPI RPC, MAPI RPC/Proxy
(Outlook Anywhere) and some EWS (Exchange Web Services) services.

This has nothing to do with EWS, it is the implementation of the client
MAPI libraries to support to connect openchangeclient CLI tool to an
Exchange 2013 using RPC/Proxy protocol.

EWS is the mean of communication between Outlook for MAC and Exchange.
It is a beast not managed by now for OpenChange.

[SOGo] SOGo V2 and SOGo V3 in parallel

2016-01-28 Thread J. Echter
Hi,

as it was mentioned i could run sogo in v2.x and v3.x in parallel on the
same set of data, i ask myself how to do this on an centos system.

If i have a look at the downloads (repos) it seems that sogo v3 will
just get pulled as an update for sogo v2.

Do i have to compile from source or do i look at the very wrong files?

Or do i have another machine accessing the same databases?

Thanks for enlightenment :D

i should add, if i add the event it works, only from the user's account
itself it fails.

every other user works so far.

I would check his browser for Add-Ons.
Disable all (Firefox: option --safe-mode) and try again.
If it works without them, find the one who interferes with SOGo web and
remove it.

Kind regards,

some additional infos, i installed thunderbird on his box with sogo

now it works.

When there's less than 4 Gigabytes of RAM, the empirical evidence I have is
that an x86 distributtion offers a better performance than an amd64 one. For
deployments of light load or simple exploration environments, it could be
convenient also, taking advantage of existing hardware available with 32 bits
microprocessors.

As far as I know the naming of the Debian port depends on the underlying
microprocessor architecture. In https://www.debian.org/ports/ the adaption for
32 bits PC hardware is listed as "i386", but when installed it could be
reported as i386 or i686 by the running Linux kernel. To ease the issue, it
could be referred as x86.

Why on earth would anyone intentionally run an i386 version of anything

Because there's virtually *no* download of the i386 arch on recent
distro we support. It's a waste of resources. If there's enough people
asking for it, we might provide them but in the meantime, we won't.

Hello,

I have a user running Thunderbird with SOGo connector on a Mac.
He had no problems until today. He have 2 calendars (the default

personal agenda and another one he previously created) and
subscribed to one co-worker's agenda.

The second calendar he created is not enabled in
Thunderbird/Lightning. The agenda stay gray. It cannot be
checked. If we double click on it and try to activate it, the OK
button does nothing.

The calendar is working fine on the SOGo web interface and all
others calendars work fine on his Thunderbird.

I see no error log in the SOGo log files.

Any idea what's wrong and how to fix that?

Nobody have an idea? Server logs and Thunderbird error console have
nothing useful about this issue.

Hi,

try deleting the sqlite files in your profile folder.

for example under linux:

/home/user/.thunderbird/5jofewjf.default/calendar-data/*.sql.

Hope this helps.

Re: [SOGo] SOGo It's possible to mix Sogousersource with ldap and mysql

2015-04-24 Thread Rodolfo José Castellanos J .
Yes, it's possible. In fact, I have a working configuration using an LDAP
connection and a PostgreSQL connection. The SOGo user manual has details about
it and the relevant fragment within my /etc/sogo/sogo.conf is this:
  domains = {
    ldapDomain = {
  SOGoMailDomain = "some.domain.com";
  SOGoUserSources = (
    {
  id = "ldapDomainId";
  type = "ldap";
  CNFieldName = "cn";
  UIDFieldName = "uid";
  IDFieldName = "mail";
  bindFields = ("uid", "mail");
  baseDN = "dc=some,dc=domain,dc=com";
  bindDN = "cn=someuser,dc=some,dc=domain,dc=com";
  bindPassword = "some-difficult-password";
  canAuthenticate = YES;
  IMAPLoginFieldName = "mail";
  displayName = "Shared Directory AddressBook";
  hostname = "ldap://someserver.some.domain.com:390";;
  isAddressBook = YES;
    }
  );
    };
    sqlDomains = {
  SOGoUserSources = (
    {
  id = "sqlDomainsId";
  type = "sql";
  viewURL =
"postgresql://some-read-only-user:other-difficult-passw...@otherserver.some.domain.com:5432/somedatabase/some-table-or-view";
  canAuthenticate = YES;
  isAddressBook = YES;
  displayName = "Shared Database AddressBook";
  userPasswordAlgorithm = "SHA";
    }
  );
    };
  };

Obviously, you'll have to adapt it to your environment and to use MySQL instead
of PostgreSQL.
Best regards.

right click on the calendar, click properties.

Here it sync's every 30 mins.

Hi,

if you talk about this repo:
https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/jaile/sogo/

Sope versions should be updated.

There's another thread on this list spotting this issue.

Hi Henry!
I use and recommend you ViMbAdmin as a web admin panel for managing multiple
mail domains and their mailbox accounts. It solves just what you require.

See http://www.vimbadmin.net/ and https://github.com/opensolutions/ViMbAdmin
for detailed information.
If you require any specific service support, you can contact me about it.

You guys' input would be much appreciated.

[SOGo] OT? Configuring spamd

2014-07-22 Thread J.
I have a spamd process running on our Ubuntu based SOGo server, but I can't
find the place where the config files are located. I've edited local.cf in
/etc/spamassassin, but the changes didn't appear to do anything (added "*
SPAM **" to the subject, and turned on a few flags). I occasionally see the
spamd show up in top, but I'm not sure what it's doing. We get more spam than I
think we should, including some that should easily be blocked based on
character matching. I also used to use something called Fuzzy OCR to block
image spam, so once I find the place to tweak, I'd like to install that also.
Thanks.--

Re: Re: [SOGo] Upcoming v2.2 release

2014-03-27 Thread J
Hi Ron,
sorry it took so long to get back to you.

Actually my question is simpler - I've been unable to get the thunderbird sogo
connectors to sync a thunderbird addressbook with the icloud contacts. No
matter which url I use for icloud, thunderbird will not ask to authenticate
and I've been unable to find any results from web searches to help. I am
guessing other people are having this problem because I've seen the question
asked, but no definitive answer on how to solve it.

I also noticed that at one point a bug was entered for this.

Has anyone been successful simply using the tb connectors to sync icloud
contacts? If so, please share the secret to your success.

Thank you.  Regards, Jeff

[SOGo] Deploying Thunderbird including Lightning & sogo-integrator

2014-03-05 Thread J. Echter
Hi,

i'd like to deploy thunderbird to more than one pc's.

My question is what is the best way to add sogo extensions + lightning
to it?

My favourite solution would be to unzip the .exe file, copy xpi's into
extensions folder, pack it up again, and install :)

I'm using opsi (www.opsi.org) as deployment system. Opsi scripts are
also welcome :P

Thanks for all your input.

Unfortunately I don't have the sogo.conf file that was the one that worked over

    server_name mail.mydomain.com;

We were able to get sogo working over ssl on nginx with port 444 (meaning
that to log into the sogo web
client we could do that over part 444). The
browser complains, but it did work. We were even able to get Thunderbird
working, but had trouble getting integrator working because it wasn't
connecting and wouldn't offer to add an exception (from what I can
remember). We gave up, bought a ssl cert and just used 443 in the end and
had help from Inverse setting it up.

Thanks. This seems to have worked for me (at least it stopped the error emails

two lines to sogo.conf:

OCSEMailAlarmsFolderURL =
"mysql://sogo:MYSQLPASSWD@localhost:3306/sogo/sogo_alarms_folder";
SOGoEnableEMailAlarms = YES;

(and then made sure the cron job is enabled).

You either can enable email alarms in your config by setting
OCSEMailAlarmsFolderURL and SOGoEnableEMailAlarms

Or you can disable/comment the cron job for sogo-ealarms-notify in
/etc/cron.d/sogo

Which one you use is depending, if you want email alarms or not.

In the /etc/cron.d/sogo you need to put a hashmark to the begin of

[SOGo] Thunderbird icloud contacts sync - not working with latest connectors nightlies

2014-02-12 Thread J Land
Trying to sync Thunderbird addressbook with icloud contacts (carddav
protocol). Have tried the latest nightlies, but still no success.

Have tried variations of the icloud url to no avail.

icloud contacts sync works flawlessly with emClient using
https://contacts.icloud.com, but no url works with Thunderbird/sogo
connectors.

Has anyone gotten Thunderbird / icloud contact sync working? Please advise.

Thank you.

[SOGo] Shared address books working on Mac OS X but not windows

2014-02-06 Thread J.
I've got SOGo integrator working apparently. It updates Thunderbird 24.x on Mac
or Windows with the connector and Lightning extensions. Running Thunderbird on
Macs, the shared address books show up ok, but on Windows either only one
shared book shows up or none show up. I don't see anything in the log files
that would explain. Any suggestions? Thanks!--

[SOGo] Weird message in SOGo log file

2014-02-03 Thread J.
Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

This line appears regularly in the SOGo log file:
sogod [2067]: <0x0x7f86b0362e10[SoWebDAVRenderer]> got bogus port information
from webserver:

Here's a line or two from our nginx setup:
listen 192.168.1.4:443;
server_name mail.[example].com
location ^~/SOGo {
    proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:2;
    proxy_redirect http://127.0.0.1:2 default;

Then we have a separate server entry for the updates script:

    server_name mail.[example].com;
    root /var/www/mail.[example].com;

Thanks.

[SOGo] icloud contacts sync issue

2014-01-16 Thread J Land

Hello,
Hopefully someone has this working now and can check their settings.

I want to sync my Thunderbird contacts with iCloud contacts. I've
followed the instructions and tried a plethora of different URLs, but
still, no request for authentication (and therefore, no sync).

I do have Thunderbird Lightning calendar syncing with iCloud Calendar
via CalDAV, so I know at least that some syncing is possible.

Please advise. Thank you. Regards, J

Re: [SOGo] Unable to Subscribe to users Public Calendar

2014-01-09 Thread Ronald J. Yacketta
To clarify our setup

We have an account named 'pubcal' that currently has ~20 calendars that are for
public usage, be it cell phone, pc, mac whatever device. These calendars all
have the same access : Public View All , Conf / Privet None for both
Authenticated and Public Access.

When a user (Authenticated) attempts to subscribe to a calendar they are ONLY
presented with Personal and Academic (one of the ~20 public calendars). We have
to field requests from end-users to give them full ICS URLS in order for them
to subscribe as a non authenticated users, should be able to (if memory serves
me correctly) provide a SOGo dav URL to 'pubcal' and a list of calendars would
be presented to subscribe to.

Hope that brings a bit more clarity to setup / usage.

-Ron

Re: [SOGo] Unable to Subscribe to users Public Calendar

2014-01-09 Thread Ronald J. Yacketta
Christian,

Thanks for the reply, I had to use the Authenticated URL as their is not access
to foldersSearch?type=calendar on the public side

https://sogo.url/SOGo/dav/public/pubcal/foldersSearch?type=calendar requires
authentication :(

Even when authenticated and trying to subscribe to a public cal from the pubcal
account we only see Personal and Academic calendars.
Both Authenticated Users and Public Access have the same rights (Public View
all, Conf / Private None).

Maybe I am expecting something that is not possible? could have sworn one could
point at sogo on the dav side and get a list of calendars one to subscribe to.
Not much of a mac / iCal user, but recall something similar on the mac side.

[SOGo] Unable to Subscribe to users Public Calendar

We have a 'pubcal' account with several Calendars that are setup for Public
Access (View all Public and None for Conf / Private). When going to subscribe
only the Personal and one Public Calendars are listed.

If I search the pubcal account for type=Calendar I get back a list of
Calendars, but only 'Academic Calendar 'can be subscribed to.

Hi,

i have exactly the same problem logging into the SOGo webpage.

I migrated from Ubuntu 12.04 to CentOS 6.4.

ldapsearch works fine, also logging into mysql with user sogo works too.

Apache modules are loaded and working.

I'm using latest SOGo from SOGo EL6 repo.

Any hints what could cause this?

sorry forgot to mention that i'm relating to this post:

https://lists.inverse.ca/sogo/arc/users/2012-10/msg00441.html

but meanwhile i found out that dovecot didn't like TLS anymore, i
switched to ssl and all is normal again.

only thing, i don't get this, because i used my old config files and certs.

there where only some os dependant editing.

cheers
