[SOGo] Marking Event as "Show time a free" is conflicting
Hey SOGo Users, I create an event and mark "show time as free". Obviously this event is not shown in free/busy. But when i try to invite a person on that specific date/time, SOGo tells me that it is conflicting with that "show time as free"-event. Is this considered normal behavior? [SOGo] Recurrence Excpetions
Hi List, we have some people creating a event series and due to unplanned other events that overlap with one or two events of this series (i am talking about events in a resource) they started to delete one or two events from the series to allow others in this slot. because i started observing "[ERROR] <0x55ddf8941b30[SOGoAppointmentFolder]:personal> missing exception record for recurrence-id 2018-04-16 08:30:00 +" i just wanted to know if this handling is problematic or how to make it correct to avoid this kind of error? thanks, sascha smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature

Ok. so there is no way to make free/busy lookups then, even when the members of the list could theoretically be lookup up in LDAP. we have to stick with LDAP-Groups then? kind regards, sascha Am 16.03.18 um 15:30 schrieb Christian Mack (christian.m...@uni-konstanz.de): Hello Address lists are a completely different thing. After reconncting, about another 100 messages get downloaded, then it disconnects againbut that mailbox is bigger than 5GB... Also found an Microsoft-KB about disconnecting, they tell to set the registry key "PushDuration" to 30 [1]. Just started testing with this key. Hi Peter, when using WorkersCount/Prefork of 15 and virtual Memory of 1024MB your machine should have at least 16GB RAM for SOGo. Have a look at sogo.log and take note of "child terminated with signal X". I am not sure which signal is ok in terms of the parent process kills the child due to reaching memory limit but that should be stated right before killing the child. Had some headaches with working simultaneously with IMAP when Outlook is currently syncing. Creating and Renaming Folders broke the sync. Some folders wouldn't show as the customer also worked with Mac and somehow managed to name folders with CRLF or prefix them with a space. Another problem were some contacts that did not sync with customers Outlook while i had his account synced to another Outlook which showed all contacts. Deleting the contact within SOGo and readd them made them visible with customers Outlook (but to be honest: comparing 1000 contacts and mark those missing is not a task i'd like to do regulary) With these settings (and IMAP wordlenght of 4MB) i am able to sync approx 4-5GB in an hour. And for small mailboxes this i enough and mostly stable. one is do move this mail item to another folder and back and hopefully it gets resynced and displayed. Another is to delete the .ost cache file and let Outlook resync everything. Obviously this is not a way to go regulary. This problem is a show stopper for me as i can not say for sure if my inbox is always properly synced this shouldn't happen, I already can hear them screaming if they finally find out two weeks later that they've missed some messages... By the way: I've just deleted one of these ost-files on one of the clients. Now Outlook creates new folders (Drafts (only this computer), Trash[1], Sent[1]). Oh god how I hate this piece of software!! afaik drafts are always stored locally with activesync. I never got Outlook to store them on the server. Another thing to note is, that deleting the ost-file leaves you with lost follow ups, rules no longer find their target folder (moving mails rules based) and all categories will be deleted. To have the resync more clean you could also "sogo-tool manage-eas resetdevice username deviceID" That should eliminate your [1] folders. As i already saw that behavior with Outlook 2013 being connected via IMAP i cannot blame it on EAS or SOGo. Did not know this also happens with IMAP. Mail would be such a great thing to work on - without Outlook. This is the most market-manipulating thing...life would be much better without that piece of crap designed to work with Exchange only, everything else is (intentionally) poorly supported... There's nothing left to add! Recently read that Microsoft stated with the release of 2016 "Implementing calDAV and cardDAV might be done within the next years (!)" Thanks again Best Regards Peter Hoepfully you will be more successful and report back to the list. So there are two workarounds, one is do move this mail item to another folder and back and hopefully it gets resynced and displayed. Another is to delete the .ost cache file and let Outlook resync everything. Obviously this is not a way to go regulary. This problem is a show stopper for me as i can not say for sure if my inbox is always properly synced (not everyone has another device to check consistency). As i already saw that behavior with Outlook 2013 being connected via IMAP i cannot blame it on EAS or SOGo. Yet another issue i saw with EAS and a mailbox with 35+ GB is performance when switching context to calendar or contacts or just searching an element... it all happens at unacceptable slowlyness. I read many complaints with mailboxes that big on the list here and also did not succeed to make it run. [SOGo] Outlook 2013 ActiveSync Mail Header date localized
dear list, anyone encountered that outlook 2013 localizes the date within the mail header? so tuesday "tue" will be written Dienstag "di" (german localization). this is something that confuses other mailclients as they expect the date in english, so partially (with roundcube) the date will not be displayed and some clients just set the date to something like 01.01.1970 (due to date-sorting this mail won't be noticed). some spam-engines fetch those mail as this header is malformed. outlook 2013 does this via activesync but not via imap. could it be the language settings each user specifies within his SOGo webfrontent? this is quite disturbing any help or hint is appreciated. cheers, sascha -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Dear List, at first, thanks to inverse team for creating such a flexible and powerful middleware and making upgrades that smooth! [SOGo] Rename Users
Hi, maybe someone can help me with renaming users. using sogo 1.3.9 with mysql on debian squeeze. we changed our login from 'username.domain.com' to 'usern...@domain.com'. first i tried to dump the mysql database and change all occurrences of the former notation to the new one with sed. that failed with mysql complaining about a duplicate entry on primary key when reimporting. since we used 1.3.7 on friday and i saw the shiny new sogo-tool rename in the changelogs of 1.3.8 i updated the server this morning and rename all users with sogo-tool. now the users are able to login but all data has vanished, not even a default calendar is visible. any ideas of what i did wrong or do you need more information? tia and kind regards, sascha -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Re: [SOGo] Calendar events disappearing
Hi Jeremy, this one might lead you in the right direction: http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=692 regards, Sascha Am 14.09.2010 07:38, schrieb Jeremy Kiffiak: Hello everyone, Currently I have SOGo installed and running in a testing environment for a client. The main tester has been experiencing a troubling situation where anI have some users who are complaining about disappearing events in the SOGo calendars. I have just finished watching one of the users demo this problem for me and am at a complete loss as to why this would be happening. I hope someone can help me to solve this troubling issue. We are using SOGo 1.3.1 on a Ubuntu 10.04 virtual machine (using KVM). Additionally the SOGo VM is running Postgres 8.4 and Apache 2.2.14. OpenLDAP is running on a separate eBox VM. The clients are Firefox 3.6.8 (running on both Mac OS X and Windows) and Safari 5.0.1 on OS X. Everything appears to function correctly until an event is modified. Typically the first edit (changing the name of the event, adding to the description, etc) will have no adverse affect. However, subsequent modifications will often cause the event to disappear completely from the calendar. Logging out of the account and logging back in does not fix the problem. I have created additional LDAP accounts to test this problem in SOGo with mixed "success". Some accounts have no problem at all with the disappearing calendar events and others also have experienced this issue. I would like to figure out what is causing this problem though my next idea is to simply drop the current Postres DB and start fresh. HELP! [SOGo] webfrontend calendar entries disappear after edit
Hi, i have a problem with the current sogo build 1.3 (201007291056). when i create an event within the webfrontend it gets created as it should, but when i edit this event to change any of the data and save it again, it just disappears. this doesn´t happen on the sogo demo nor does it on the (same) subscribed calendar in thunderbird (3.1.1 extensions (connector3.102pre0 and lightning1.0b2+102pre0)). any ideas?
