Re: Greek voice in I/os 6

2012-10-23 Thread Andrew Lamanche
I am beginning to have a dreadful suspicions that the responses we get from
Apple become more and more mechanised, i.e. issued by a computer or similar
means. The thing is that the Greek voice used to work fine in the previous
version and is broken in I.Os 6. I've been informed of a response from Apple on
this issue that it will be solved in the release of i/Os 6. The point is that
number 6 has been released already and the Greek voice has been broken in it.
So I;m not sure whether we are being heard here or just given a standard
answer. I imagine somebody spending a few hundred pounds on the strength of the
knowledge that I/Os has a Greek voice and then not be able to use it. Don't
they test the voices with native speakers?

Anyway, sorry for this. I'm a 100 % Apple person but this is upsetting and
somewhat unfair.

Best wishes

Andrew

RE: Mac verses Ipad

2012-10-23 Thread Chuck Dean
If you have a monitor, don't forget about the Mac mini. It's only about $600
and is about the size of a Kleenex box. Works great! I am running both the Mac
Mini and my PC in conjunction into the same monitor using at VGA a b switch.
With this set up, I can go back and forth between the Mac and PC as I learn the
voiceover on the Mac. I started doing this in January, and about 90% of my work
is now done on the Mac. I also have an iPad, but I don't think it offers
enough for my normal everyday computing I do quite a bit of web design.

RE: Mac verses Ipad

2012-10-23 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Kathy,

I also really like my iPhone and it's amazing what you can do with it.
However, don't make the mistake to just assume that a Mac is going to be
just as awesome. You can't compare an iPhone to a Mac and while I am sure
Mac lovers disagree, I firmly hold that a PC running Windows 7 with now Jaws
14 is a better solution if you are a power user. If all you do is write
emails, do Skype, browse the web and so on a Mac with Voiceover maybe OK,
but then again you can do that with just an iPhone or an iPad. I am not sure
what you mean by "JAWS and internet explorer are driving me crazy with all
the crashes etc.", to me that is such a generalized statement and while a PC
can crash and while Jaws can sometimes become unresponsive, it's not like a
Mac is immune to these things. If you do a lot of browsing I think Jaws,
especially 14 with the new flexible web feature and all the things like
navigation quick keys etc. will be more efficient and it's not as if you
don't have choices regarding your browser, you can use IE, Firefox and
Chrome and sometimes I use IE for one thing and Firefox for another thing
because I discovered one works better than the other for certain
applications. The nice thing is that Jaws features like navigation quick
keys, placemarkers or the flexible web feature works regardless.

I listened to the announcement today of the new MacBook laptops and while
they sound like awesome computers, I can still buy a Windows laptop with the
same specs (except maybe the weight and thickness) for $600 or $700 less
than the entry level MacBook Pro 13 inch. I bought an Acer TimelineX laptop
last January, so almost a year ago, and it has very similar specs as far as
processor and memory is concerned, it has a 120 Gig solid state drive and
it's actually a 15 inch laptop with a full keyboard including numeric pad
plus it has a DVD Writer. I also get about 8 hours of battery life and the
entire thing including the upgrade to the solid state drive was $900. I'd
have to spend $2,000 to get a 15" Macbook Pro with these specs or maybe even
more and it's not as if I care whether it has a retina display.

These are just some thoughts for those who are super impressed with the
MacBooks Apple announced today. AS I said, they are beautiful and definitely
sound like fantastic computers, but as is usual, people tend to think of
anything Apple makes as superior and that is not always entirely justified.

Regards,
Sieghard

RE: Mac verses Ipad

2012-10-23 Thread Joe
Scott,

Fair point. In my daily word processing I need to make use of footnotes and
other reference notations, indices and other layouts, comments, track
changes, mail merge, document comparisons, and this is completely
independent of the spreadsheet formulaic and diagram operations I need to be
able to perform. My tune may change when Office becomes more accessible with
Voiceover, but for now, detecting simple elements like styles is not
comparable to other products. If anyone is tackling such tasks with relative
ease, by all means set me straight. Part of the issue, as someone else
pointed out, is that for the moment at least the PC still dominates the
workplace, and other assistive solutions have had time to mature along the
way. No wrong answer here, just a difference of opinions.

"complex" word processing. There are many who would disagree with your

Hi Scott,
I have a BT keyboard; I don't use pages. Too many reports of people losing
place, or I guess it is vo losing focus etc, and because I have a Mac and an
old PC, it wouldn't be worth it for me to put in the time to deal with Pages on
an I-device. But the scanning? With an I-device? No way. I want to be able to
do books, and can't imagine doing that with an i-device, even if the ocr were a

giving up all computing devices other than an iPad or iPhone. At least not for

2012-10-23 Thread Cheryl Ann Homiak
I don't think anything needs to be out of the running. I primarily use my
Mac with my iPhone a close second. Then comes my linux very close behind,
and then Windows 7 with Windoweyes, System Access and occasionally the
Jaws demo but my Windows system is just for fun or when all else fails. I
had an iPad 1 and didn't use it enough so gave it to a friend. I liked it;
i just found I didn't use it as much as I thought I would. But it doesn't
mean i'll never use an iPad again. Each person needs to use the
combination of equipment and software that works best for her/him and for
most of us even that isn't static; I'm always re-evaluating what works
best for me and my new braille display, even though it only has 18 cells,
is changing the way I do things on the Mac and iphone a lot. No, nothing
ever needs to be out of the running.

RE: Mac verses Ipad

2012-10-23 Thread Ron Pelletier
Hi Mary,

I have been working with accessibility for 22 years now and would like to
suggest the following:

Get an IPad and a Mac if you wish or get an IPad and keep your PC but do
not change your computer for an IPad. You would regret that for a long
time. Tablets are certainly not up to replacing a computer yet and probably
never will be.

There is an app for reading books from bookshare called read2go for the iPad
and phone etc. You download books directly inside the app and can use either
voice over or the speech that comes with the app to read those books. I
would never replace my computer with an iPad for at least two reasons. I
scan books. Can't do that on an iPad. I also don't think the word processors
are ready for accessibility prime time on any i-device compared with a pc or
even a Mac. The iPad is fine for email and the web etc. But as a content
creation device, as a blind person, I don't think it compares with a
computer.

2012-10-23 Thread Scott Howell
Joe, although you are entitled to your opinion, I think you have to qualify
"complex" word processing. There are many who would disagree with your
assertions and that applies to either iOS or the Mac platforms.

2012-10-23 Thread Scott Howell
I have been a Mac user for a number of years now and since my Credit Union
fixed their site I have no real need for IE. In fact they recently updated
their iOS mobile banking app and it is incredibly accessible, so I am finding
that the site is less necessary even. I use both the iPad and iPhone, but I
still do use my Mac for some tasks that are simply not available yet on the iOS
platform. I truly can say I do not regret making the move and it can only get
better.

Re: Mac verses Ipad

2012-10-23 Thread Scott Howell
Mary,

I actually think with VueScan Mobile and Prizmo, you actually could work with
the scanning thing. As far as "word processing" I think with a bluetooth
keyboard, Pages, and some of the other similar apps it may be possible.
Perfect? Maybe not, but I think time will see improvements here as well.
Obviously all this is based on what you are trying to do. I won't say you are
wrong, but true we ain't quite there yet. :)

Re: iPod Touch fifth generation problem

2012-10-23 Thread MamaPeach
So the 5th gen doesn't sound louder when using VoiceOver than on the 4th
gen? I find that VoiceOver on the 4th gen is very low and definitly hard to
hear. I don't want to purchase the 5th gen hoping for louder VoiceOver when
it isn't any better.

I too am surprised and disappointed that they did not include ear phones

The other thing that will take some getting used to is how much thinner

I did a restore from my backup and everything appeared pretty much the

The fact that we can now put 16 apps in each folder is very nice.

Richard,

When you get that 5th gen Touch, please let us know what you think of the
speaker as compared with the speaker on your present model. I think you
and
I may have the same, 3rd gen touch. I'm hoping that the speaker is a
little
improved on this new one but haven't made it to the Mac store to check
that
out. I'm kind of waiting on the iPad mini announcement to see what it
offers
versus the new Touch, and one of the things that would really make me
look
hard at the Touch would be if the speaker were more or less on par with
the

one in the 4S. I suppose that's a small thing, but for me, that 3rd gen
Touch speaker got to be a real drag. Sure there is airplay and there are
docks. But sometimes it is just nice to have the device by itself.

Re: Mac verses Ipad

2012-10-23 Thread Rob Harris
You can buy adapters for the iPad to give it a usb port, then you can plug
low power demand devices into it. Remember the iPad is not going to want
to power other things. I know pen drives are supported and since the stream
is power sufficient I should think, it should be supportable too.

I had a bunch of these, but for the more modern iPads, so no good to me; so
I sold them, but no one came back to say they didn't work. Not expensive
either.

Greek voice in I/os 6

2012-10-23 Thread Andrew Lamanche
Dear Listers,

In case there are some Greek speakers on the list, I have to say that much to
my disappointment the Greek voice in the new I/Os operating system is broken.
That means that it is actually unusable. It attempts to spell in Greek rather
than read. In fact, it spells out some of the letters and then attempts to
pronounce the rest in chunks. It makes it totally unusable. I've e-mailed
accessibility about this. It is very upsetting as I have to study through the
medium of Greek. It used to work alright in the previous i.os system.

Please warn anybody who needs to use the Greek language.

Best wishes

Andrew

Re: Mac verses Ipad

2012-10-23 Thread David Chittenden
I have to agree. I switched to the Mac a year ago this month.

Voice-Over on the Mac functions quite differently from screen-readers on
Windows, so you will need to give yourself plenty of time and patience to learn
the new system. Also, Mac does many things differently as well.

As for going exclusively to the iPad without a computer, it is possible unless
you need to do semi-complex word processing. Pages for iOS is accessible except
when it comes to renaming files. For that, it gets difficult. That said, there
are apps for the iPad which do not exist for the iPhone, that write and edit
word documents. As I do not yet have an iPad, I do not know if, or how well,
they are accessible. I've played with a friend's iPad for surfing the net and
really enjoyed the relational experience for examining web pages. With my Mac,
it is a bit more hit and miss, though overall, I prefer surfing the net with my
mac.

In my case, my iPhone 5 is my primary computer. I use my mac for editing and
formatting papers for my doctoral studies. I also use it for EndNote reference
tracking as EndNote is required by my University, and I have not yet found an
iOS version of the program. If one ever comes out, I may almost never turn on
my Mac.

Do to the nature of my research, I am currently saving for an iPad Mini. I will
need it when I begin the practical portion of my research.

Re: accessible ssh/telnet/remoteDesktop client

2012-10-23 Thread Rob Harris
It's to drive a remote computer, remote desktop is the desktop on that
computer, the one you try to connect to with this software, which as the
nearest interface, is the client. Telnet is an old Unix terminal access
system, that's all there was before DOS and the Personal computer. Linux
still have Telnet server features, so the more likely to be able to dribe
it's desktop remotely, from your iPhone or whatever.

Determining Itunes version number

If someone can point me to a worthwhile podcast on how to use iTunes on

Depends on what you are looking for. The stock Calculator app offers some
scientific functions when the phone is turned to portrait mode. There is
also CalcMadeEasy which offers a variety of calculating options and works on
all iOS devices.
I'm sure others will chime in with their recommendations.

Re: iPod Touch fifth generation problem

2012-10-23 Thread Richard Turner
Tinny is is the ear of the beholder.
It is more tinny than the 4s, but less tinny than the 3rd gen touch.
But, I'm happy with the default U.S. voice where a lot of people I know can't
stand it and use the Australian voice instead.
So, it is hard to quantify such a subjective thing as how voices sound.

Revamped Steps For Getting Tonido To Work

2012-10-23 Thread MamaPeach
I have had to redo the directions for the Tonido as I messed up on a step
involving only adding selected drives instead of having access to the whole
computer. Here are the full instructions again.
First and foremost, you need to download the Tonido Desktop.exe file from the
Tonido website. Be sure you choose the file that is appropriate for your
operating system. It is best to use Internet Explorer for this. If you are
wanting to access your main computer, you must install this file to that
computer. Tonido's download page is:
http://www.tonido.com/application_download.html
Once you have this file downloaded, you of course have to install it.
Once installed, you must launch the file in order to create your new account
with Tonido.
Please note that once installed, the Tonido Desktop file is set to run in your
system tray, so there is no need to activate it from the actual .exe file,
unless you have shut it off and want to turn it back on. Then simply activate
it from the icon that hopefully you told it to place on your desktop.
Once launched, you will be prompted to create your new account.
In the first edit field, you must provide your chosen account name.
Below this is a link where you can check to make sure your chosen account name
is available to use. Check this by simply arrowing down once. It will most
likely tell you that it is available, unless of course someone else has chosen
that same name. If it is taken, shift tab and try a different account name.
Tab once.
In this edit field, enter in your chosen account password.
Tab again.
In this edit field, reenter your chosen account password.
Tab again
In this edit field, enter in your preferred email address.
Tab again.
Make sure to check the box that says you agree to their terms and conditions
Tab again.
Click on the create button.
Look down the page to make sure it has given you your URL that you will use for
accessing your account through the internet or via a mobile device. This URL
should look like this:
http://acountname.tonidoid.com
After doing this, you can close Tonido, you are done installing Tonido!
Next, download the app from The Apple store to your iPod, iPad or iPhone, or
any other mobile device that the Tonido page says it supports.
Once downloaded, double tap the app to open it.
The Tonido app will open on the account information. This is where you enter in
the information that you used when you created your account via the Tonido
Desktop program.
This is a little tricky as there are three edit fields here.
The first edit field has a URL in it. Double tap on this edit field to edit
this URL.
The <<>> remain. All you need to type into this field is your
chosen account name and then the tunidoid.com. So it should look like this in
the first edit field.
http://accountname.tonidoid.com
Then Flick to the next edit field which should now show your user name already
there. If not, double tap to activate this edit field and enter in your account
name only.
Flick to the next edit field. Double tap to activate. Enter your account
password.
Flick up to the done button and double tap to activate it.
Once this is done, you should have full access to your computer and all
external drives hooked up to your machine.
If you don't want all folders and drives to show, open the Tonido in your
system tray. Enter your password. Once the Tonido page has loaded, click on
Tools. Then click on Settings. Next go to Miscellanious, which is really tricky
to access, but it can be done if you are well adept at using Jaws. I have no
clue how to access it with Window Eyes or NVDA.
I accessed it with Jaws by doing the following:
After clicking on Settings, hit f6
Then tabb until you find the buttons, which are:
General, Account, Network, Misc, Log and About.
Click on the Miscellanious button.
After clicking on the Miscellanious button, go down the page until you find
where it says:
Add allowed folder button.
Click on this button
Arrow down several times to find the edit field to type in your drive letter.
type in something like this
G:\
H:\
i:\
j:\
or whatever drive letter you want access to.
You can also browse to this drive by clicking on the browse button.
Click on the Add button
Find where it says
Enable access to only selected folders
Make sure this is checked
Now you will have access to just the drives you added instead of your whole
entire computer.
I hope these directions have helped in some way. It seems intimidating but it
is actually very easy to set up and once set up, it is so awesome to be able to
access your own music, photos and other stuff from your iPhone, iPod, iPad,
Android, Blackberry, etc. Why load your device up with music when you have full
access to your own stuff and it won't eat up space on your phone.

I did a restore from my backup and everything appeared pretty much the same

The fact that we can now put 16 apps in each folder is very nice.

Richard,

When you get that 5th gen Touch, please let us know what you think of the
speaker as compared with the speaker on your present model. I think you and
I may have the same, 3rd gen touch. I'm hoping that the speaker is a little
improved on this new one but haven't made it to the Mac store to check that
out. I'm kind of waiting on the iPad mini announcement to see what it offers
versus the new Touch, and one of the things that would really make me look
hard at the Touch would be if the speaker were more or less on par with the
one in the 4S. I suppose that's a small thing, but for me, that 3rd gen
Touch speaker got to be a real drag. Sure there is airplay and there are
docks. But sometimes it is just nice to have the device by itself.

RE: iPod Touch fifth generation problem

2012-10-23 Thread Richard Turner
Mary and all,

My 5th gen touch came a day early, very nice surprise.

I would say the speaker is certainly better than the 3rd generation touch.
It has more treble in it than the iPhone 4S. The 4S has a fuller sound and
will handle a bit more volume without starting to distort.
I personally would have no trouble listening to books or even music over the
speaker, though music will be far more enjoyable over headphones or external
speakers.

I too am surprised and disappointed that they did not include ear phones
with the button on the cord. It seems incredibly cheap on Apple's part to
not include that. They took the step of adding Siri, but you are not given
the option out of the box to access Siri from the headset. And, as always
with the touch, they don't include a wall charger.
I will say, the earbuds do sound better than the old ones. I also have my
Bose with the in-line mic and controls, but I don't always want to use them.

The other thing that will take some getting used to is how much thinner and

Re: downgrade

2012-10-23 Thread Fanus
Hello List
What puzzles me is that, since I got the iPhone 3GS three
years ago with IOS3 we now are with IOS6 and we did not pay
a cent and I think this was great value for nothing. While,
by comparrison, and this is my personal opinion, we have to
pay for each JAWS upgrade and since JAWS 10 my feeling is
that we did not get value for money for the upgrades up to
the current JAWS 14 and, although there are bugs with each
upgrade, for which we pay, no one moans.

Hi, your statement isn't really fair. I mean, yes you are
entitled to
your opinion, but come on, every operating system has bugs
in it. iOS
5.0, 5.01, 5.1 and 5.11 were no different. The only reason
it's making you upset is because you found one which
personally impacts
what you want it to do. I get that and I understand your
frustration.
However if iOS 6 was so bad, then the usage of it wouldn't
be up to 62%
of iOS customers. That tells me that it's not as bad as
people make it
out to be. Just so you know for the future, as has been said
already,
unless you take prior steps to downgrade, you are stuck
using the new
iOS once you install it. I've had a chance to work with iOS
6 on my wife
and daughter's iPhones and it's not that bad, but then
again, it's
specific bugs I've come across don't impact me personally.
If they did,
then I'd probably be frustrated too. So, I get that part,
but it doesn't
mean that Apple is evil and they are not caring or any of
that other stuff.

It sounds like the tiniest piece of...plastic, or something...moving

Does anyone have an iPhone 5 that doesn't make any sound when shaken?

Re: downgrade

2012-10-23 Thread Scott Howell
Sieghard,

Very well stated. I agree it is nothing personal and Pablo I truly appreciate
your frustrations. I have dealt with issues related to my Braille display for
quite a while. You know I have seen that improve about 95%, so I'm rather
happy. I have to say overall iOS 6 has been worth the upgrade despite some of
the bugs. Oh and if you guys are not aware, there apparently is a 6.0.1 release
in the pipeline. I read an article about this last night and I would anticipate
a 6.1 not far behind as the article indicated this is being tested internally.
So, perhaps not much longer and some issues will be resolved.

Re: downgrade

2012-10-23 Thread Scott Howell
Pablo, remember this if nothing else. No one forced you to upgrade. You made
the choice to upgrade and there were concerns expressed about the store and
other things. Point is when there is an upgrade there may be bugs because
internal testing or even testing with a small group does not always catch the
bugs. Overall the bugs with iOS 6 are not nearly as bad as they could be. ALso
consider the fact that there are possibly other issues here such as conflicts
with applications you installed etc. You cannot always point at the OS and say
in every case this problem is a result of that version of the OS. Sure in some
cases you can, but there are always many variables to be considered.
Now with all that said it would be nice if Apple had done more to ensure some
of the issues we as VoiceOver users have seen as well as issues experienced by
everyone had been addressed, but they were not. We can only hope that Apple
will have an update out soon. I also want you to consider that sometimes in
order to keep a schedule for a release of a product, manufacturers and
developers will release a product knowing there are issues and those will be
addressed in a subsequent release. And you are correct that sometimes users do
end up as testers. :) As far as down grading, well hey don't upgrade right
away. In fact if you really want to play things safe, you wait a couple of
weeks to see what others are experiencing. If you plan to purchase a product
you should get on the phone or do whatever to contact the company and find out
if they have done any testing with that version of the OS, device, etc. Oh and
not giving you a hard time, I'm just trying to get you to look at this from the
other end of things. Believe me I have dealt with issues since iOS 4.X and
knowing that I have accepted that eventually the issues do get resolved. Yes I
have certain expectations, but realistically know that I have to manage those
expectations.

Thanks for all the replies guys! This is a rather split discussion I'd
say. I was hoping everyone would either say "it's normal" or "nope,
get it exchanged immediately." *grin*

It sounds like the tiniest piece of...plastic, or something...moving
around inside the iPhone 5. I thought of taking it into my nearest
Apple store, but the noise is so subtle that I know we won't be able
to hear it in a crowded store. I also tend to worry about my new
gadgets a little obsessively, so it may well be totally normal. The
device, certainly, functions well.

Does anyone have an iPhone 5 that doesn't make any sound when shaken?

Re: Copying and pasting/sharing links

2012-10-23 Thread Rob Harris
OOoo dear Gads if we could go back to some of the conveniences of DOS and
the Wordstar command set. They could put that in the rotor, block start,
block end; then block copy/move/cut or whatever. I could live with that,
no idea how I lived without it this long to be honest. TypeInBraille has
the nearest to that. I'll qualify, TnB seems easier on selection and
navigation than the generic edit field.

I have a wish list item. That is to do a gesture at the start of a selection
point and the same gesture to do at the end of the selection point. Then you
could copy, cut, etc. I'm going to e-mail Apple with it, though I'm sure
others have already done so. This pinch nonsense is just that, nonsense and
not at all conducive to the otherwise smooth experience you get on a touch
screen.--Joe

Re: Accessible Free App. Tonido

2012-10-23 Thread Rob Harris
Ideally, if you had both devices on the same private wifi, one should be
able to address it directly without going outside and invoking data
charges; you'd use an address like http://192.168.0.1 or whatever local ip
address your pc has; you can check that yourself; but suspect it still
wont work as it probably has to go through their servers. Which is back to
security questions: Why?!

Yes, you must be logged into the Tonido program on your computer first,

Great little app that I just installed. I have been looking for something
like this, and finally stumbled on it. Simply installed the Tonido
Desktop.exe file, installed and ran the .exe file, created an account, then
installed the Tonido app onto my iPod, signed into the app with my account
details and was able to access my whole entire computer. I have since set it
to only access one of my external hard drives instead of everything. I love
this app and it does work great with VoiceOver and the other part that I
love is it is FREE. You can sign up for paid accounts, but I didn’t feel the
need to do that.
  App Name: Tonido
  Developer: CodeLathe LLC
  Description
Tonido allows you to access, share documents, photos, music and video in
your computer or TonidoPlug from anywhere. It is completely FREE.
Install Tonido server (Available for FREE from www.tonido.com) for your
OS. Enter the account information in the iOS app and you are good to go!!
Instantly open or send files, folders, pictures or videos from your
iDevice with just one click. Tonido makes it easy to work directly with your
computer files, no matter where you are. You can do it all while listening
to music playing in the background, too. Click “…More” to learn why you
should download this App today!
  Tonido Streams to iPhone
“Can’t beat it. You install Tonido on your PC and access your hard drive
including music, videos and documents. Works great! ALL FREE too!!!”
  - David Meilan
  Awesome app! Very useful
“I can hear music stored in my PC. Take photos and upload to my PC on the
spot. Browse files & folders from my PC. Highly Recommended!”
  - Jason Washington
You worked on that proposal at home last night; it was due for an
important meeting first thing this morning. The boss didn’t give you much
notice but you pulled it off, hunched over your computer until the wee hours
of the morning.
Meaning to grab just a couple of hours of sleep before heading to the
office, you were so tired that you slept through your alarm. Running very
late, you bolted out the door. It wasn’t until you arrived at work that you
realized that the all-important document got left behind in the rush.
With the meeting about to start, you push away panic and open the Tonido
app on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. You locate the proposal file on your
hard drive at home then, with a single click, save the day and your neck.
Tonido provides a personal, secure doorway to your computer from anywhere
in the world you happen to be. This app makes it super fast and easy for you
to access and share your documents, photos, music and videos, all from your
portably convenient iDevice. All you need is the computer with Windows,
MacOSX and Linux or a TonidoPlug.
The Tonido app works with many popular file formats like Word, Excel,
Powerpoint and PDF. Open them, read them or share them with family and
friends by email. It even supports H.264, MPEG-4, mp4, .m4v and .mov iPhone
streaming video formats.
What all of this means for you is freedom. Forget about carrying your USB
stick and leave your music at home. You don’t need to lug those things
around anymore. Tonido gives you free and easy access to your entire hard
drive, including your music collection.
It works both ways, too. Have a photo on your phone that you’d like to
upload to your computer at home? No problem, you can do that with Tonido, as
well. You’re going to love and rave about this application!
iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 users get an extra special treat. They are able to
listen to their music in the background
