Re: [WestNileNet] Walking the talk (Muni University)

2013-05-20 Thread Gilbert Ringtho
Hi guys,

This has been ephasised before. WestNile has to wake-up from the long slumber
and set a sucess agenda  and produce many WestNiles along key success areas to
create impact:

1- Resounding education- in all sectors; Medic, Eng, Agric, Law, Prof
Accountants, Financial/ Investments experts, Teachers/ Profs, Journalists, IT
experts etc we had started publishing names. They now need to come out and
impact theirs knowledge and skills...not just to carry titles
2- Resounding Businessmen. Can see Gaaga and Arua Boys, causing shivers around.
But we need 100+ more . Not just that but to upgrade to International Levels
3-Resounding Commercial Farmers-type one can see in SouthAfrica. The food
market is around Westnile
4-Industrialits- Adriko started, where are the others to follow. Process and
reparkage the foodstuff, honey.
5-Above knowledge and skills- to provide service sectors in Westnile
6-Above, issues-with a WestNile outlook, can absorb forks. This then spiralls
growth and development. But our thinking and belief must be coherent to forge
this

Hello Richard,

Don't lose hope! Keep hope alive because it is the only thing that can sustain
you in the most hopeless situation, man!

I share your frustration and the frustration of many others on this forum for
the endless talks without actions. Around 2009/20120 when the forum was taking
shape there was a vigorous debate about who we are and purpose of our
existence. Many constructive suggestions were made. Some people wanted this
forum to be a development forum and others wanted it to just be a network
forum. In fact the most popular name that emerged after a vote was West Nile
Development Forum, if I remember well, but it seems the leadership was
uncomfortable with that and the vote was ignored and more discussions went on
until we became "Westnile Net".

The Bible says "watch your tongue for in it lies the power of destruction or
life." We don't pick names at random because a name is a signifier. They
signify the identity of the object named. You will always be what you call
yourself because your name means you. It is therefore not a surprise that West
Nile Net is very active in virtual interaction on the net but completely
inactive in development activities on ground. There is nothing in our
existential identity that connects us to grass root activities so far. People
should not expect too much from us in this forum because we doing well in what
we can do best "engage each other on the net." Kindly understand our situation,
ladies and gentlemen! We are not actually doing badly in as far as our core
identity and mission is concerned. We can support others in doing what you are
accusing us of not doing which may technically be within our mandate as West
Nile Net. (NB. The views expressed in this piece are
not necessarily those of its founders or its leadership and they should not
cause unnecessary disaffection.)

Thanks.

Hi Folks,
West Nile was curved as part of Uganda in 1914 and next year we make 100 year.
We produced a President, 2 Vice Presidents, a Speaker of the National Assembly,
couple of Ambassadors, Three ArchBishops, Couple of Professors, Gold Medalists
in athletics, the team in the CAF finals of 1978 had two or so sons of West
Nile e.t.c.
We have achieved something but have the capacity to super-cede this.
As we make 100 years can we do some social audit and lay the stage for our
progress in the next 100 years. A university is being born in West Nile, what
is our support to this University?
Can we engage in the future of West Nile?
How do we plan to celebrate 100 years in Uganda? Does it make sense to you?
God bless.
Thanks
Elly

Thx Felix-WNF, needs to pick this up and get it worked on asap; lets creat a TT
for this and get things doneWork is done..when actually done. We can
replicate  and improve- situations of earlier years;  1970's,1980's, early
1990s.

Arua-and Westnile-became the house of academia; We used to travel  from Kampala
at all costs( including by Air)- to study in Arua/WestNile, due great grades
posted then. Late Abiriga Hercules and many others-were highly respected in
K'la and in the country. You will agree with me that some of the results are
very visible today- the prominent WestNilers in Key positions..BUT THIS HAS TO
BE SUSTAINED.I can see urger need to act-in a more strategic way and move on.

I want to share with you that-I have tried to quitely be exemplary myself. I
have established, we can made tremendous changes with small incomes. We only
need strategic focus ,discipline and the crave to work on our success agenda.

I will be willing to share my experience with the rest at a workshop,
conference etc.

WestNile-Must rise and shine and become a region to  emulate

Well spoken Gilbert like the career economist.  You have highlighted the
broader context in which our education system operates and particularly the
possible factors impacting performance of WN Schools in National Examinations.
The situation is quite grim and I guess our generation should grab the
opportunity to act on the broader spectrum that Gilbert has outlined.  We
probably need discussions, expert support, advice, refining and right-sizing
the ideas to our capacities or capabilities but the sadly un-deniable fact is
we must act or else the geneartions to come will keep fire-fighting the same
way we are.  How, where or on which point we start to act on these issues can
be determined upon agreement.  WNF could possibly be one of the spring boards
for such action.
Good day.

Great Observation,
?
WestNile needs a total re-think as to how we can forge growth and development
in the region; we need to act on key success drivers and be shrewed there,
something similar to what the Businessmen are doing,?branded as "Arua Boys". We
have to creat that numbers and impact in the follow areas
?
1-Agriculture- lets lilt towards commecialization; agric success was
traditionally; tobbacco, coffee, cotton, Tea and to some extent cattle keeping-
that was Westnile, then in commercial sense. They need to be revived, bit by
bit and monitor progress
?
2- Education-Westnile has had good brains in this sector-? Can't we make these
brains 'invade'-good schools in the country; Budo, Namagunga, Ntare, Kitende,
Nanugogo etc, in big numbers and demonstrate results at home? Not forgetting
that these can generate sufficient trickling effect...but critical mass, or
better still great numbers are needed e.g many doctors , engineers, Lawyere,
Accountants, Influential Politicians, Corporate Managers-CEO's, MDs and more
guys in influencial positions- ready to creat impact and earn hefty sums e.g
UGX 5Om per month...Not for the faint hearted and excuses but work for them. We
have great work attitude but we need to drive to its complete end. THE BENEFITS
MUST BE PLOUGHED BACK TO CREATE AND ENABLE WEALTH IN THE REGION. This can

Brethren,

I have gone through the today's Monitor list(pg 8) of A-level rankings one by
one(1-273) without seeing our prominent schools in West Nile apart from Mvara
SS which is ranked a whooping no. 187!!! I don't see Ombaci, Muni, Nyapea  and
others and they happen not be listed - probably my eyes are getting old!!

Tabu Butagira should probably clarify if another list exists - otherwise I see
the performance as already pathetic not withstanding the fact that the best P7
Pupil in West Nile got an agg 7.

I am very angry and annoyed. What is happening? Are we not engaging our
youngsters enough!!

Extolling the military and Saleh with whom he appears to be tied at the hip
(the Barifa saga). Is there a qualification requirement for RDC or are they
appointed to keep eating as the presidential advisors?

Abiriga appears to have no qualifications for the position he holds - other
than being an ass licker.

is appointed by government? Abiriga has been mentioned in many issues that
negatively impact on our region over the years including the Barifa Land saga
which has recently been reported on the Monitor Newspaper, and people in West
Nile can not rise up and demonstrate to the government that they reject him as
their RDC in Arua! This recent occasion is even more insulting, considering the
fact that Archibishop O'dama is a son of West Nile being recognized for his
tireless fight for humanity and equality by an International Organization on
the merits of his deeds not
bribery which Abiriga suggested in his speech. The people who suffered the
brut of the war probably know better than Abiriga who was on their side
fighting for their survival. I think his utterings have gone far beyond
ignorance and something needs to be done by the people in Arua. I do not think
he has the interest of the region in his work and may be that is why the
government put him there. What he uttered was despicable and very shameful

Ambassador (Rtd) Harold, Caleb, et al,

It is indeed sad to receive this news of the passing on of Hon. Alex Lobidra.

In addition to the eulogies you have posted, as the late relocated to Koboko,
he did so carrying his passion for farming to his village in Leiko. In his
style of ambition he even established a water supply system on his farm to
challenge the dependence on rain-fed agriculture. I personally did work for him
on the water project, providing nearly 1.5km water distribution line on his
farm.

As confirmed by Ambassador (Rtd) Harold, Hon Alex Lobidra was a Teacher in the
famous Arua J.S.S . In his witty and jovial personality as mentioned by Caleb,
I was to take him on regarding a rumour I had ever heard about him while he
taught in Arua J.S.S. Hon. Alex made a long drauly laughter after I asked him
about his role in setting the houses on fire as I had heard.

He revealed an interesting thing to me as we kept on chatting at his farm in
Koboko. His openness  striked me greatly and he didn't hide anything about the
story, neither did he have any regrets, as he believed that was his selfless
contribution to the development of Arua J.S.S.

He had gotten tired of parents and students always labouring to repair the
grass-thatched roofs of the school under the administration of the missionaries
as such he used a magnifying glass to torch the roofs of the buildings
one-by-one under the then believed misterious fires while communities tried to
battle putting of the fires. He had known that the missionaries had the
financial resources to put up permanent roofs (structures). Later in a staff
meeting to discuss renovation of the buildings, when the missionaries were
again floating the idea of using grass he was quick to tell them, why use grass
again to thatch the roofs when it was clearly demonstrated that the buildings
were more prone to fires. Not negative though, this was his confession.

Indeed Hon. Alex Lobidra was full of life, humour and reasoning as seen in the
way he kept access to his homes and farms, always full of thorny bushes around
and caging the accesses with the same. I did ask him about the thorny caged
access. His answer was simple. Hon. Lobidra said, "to access me, my home and
farm one had to struggle and to struggle to access me, my home and farm meant
one had a valid reason...either to harm him, steal or engage in productive
discussions ans issues with him".

I could go on and on over the numerous humerous chats with the man I hitherto
believed was "difficult" as people said. To sum it up, I think he had his own
principles, which many people for their own unfounded fears, didn't get closer
enough to him to understand him better.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Dear all

We have, on a sad note, heard about the passing on of Mama Kezia Iria. To all
of you who come from Mvara and got baptised there, you will probably remember
Kezia as a devouted mother and the kind of a catechist who ensured that all
baptism candidates learnt all the required lessons and passed the assessment
tests before being presented for baptism.

My deepest condolences go to his children Aluonzi Moses (0772 905093) who works
with NWSC in Soroti, Erima Jimmy 0772888119, Betty, Rachael, Opiru.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Alaka,

I would love that a visit is paid to the family especially when some of us
travel for the Easter weekend in Arua. I am also not sure if we should pass
through Red Cross or we set up the initiative and deliver it. Your gesture is
fantastic however I would love if we can also assess the short term needs (6
months to one year) of this family.

The news  papers today say, the grandmother plans to take the family to the
village to avoid rent which would inevitably affect the young mother's chances
of going to school and even the baby's health could deteriorate as a result.
Its
best to get the baby out of danger first before any decision of that nature is
taken. If a room of UGX 6,000 per month is okay for them to live in, I can
offer
them the year's rent. With other additional help from our good selves on this
network we can raise them resources to last them sometime.

The immediate assistance to rescue them from dying needs to go as quickly as
possible as Alaka has started but more help needs to be got for sometime. Some
of the resources need not be money but in kind to avoid mismanagement. In
anycase we need also to think about how the resources raised can be used in a
sustainable manner. Is the simsim business worth or is there something else
they
can do? Assistance to them can also be extended in measured amounts over time
and not large once. These can be assessed.

My take, over to fellow contributors on this network.

and do nothing"

Subject: [WestNileNet] A LEVEL RESULTS 2010.

Hello Aggrey and all,

I have been reading some of the postings on the A level results and wanting to
respond but yet holding back. I was looking forward to having a general pattern
in West Nile, picking on our traditional schools such as Nyapea, Warr Girls in
Nebbi, Koboko, Mvara, Ombaci, Pokea, Maracha, Ediofe and Muni in the greater
Arua, Metu in Moyo etc. Some of the information I have is scanty and may not
suffice as accurate. This aside, I must say I appreciate the efforts by all to
sound the alarms of academic decay and seeking answers on what should be done.

It is comendeble to loud Mvara for posting good principals, I would like note
that this is a combination of factors: Consistently the Mvara administration
and
stakeholders have been patching different approaches together: Among these, the
study visits, career day, old students awards/rewards, the book drive etc in an
attempt to motivate the students and teachers to improve performance. These are
not exactly the most perfect approaches, but they seem to be impacting
positively on the students (see below)

No. of principals 2009 students 2010
students
4 principals    36
43
3 principals    65
65
2 principals    40
41
1 principal  31
18
0 principals    10
05

Best arts combinations are: HED/G - 3ABBCC, HEG/EPS - 2ABBD, HED/L - 2ABCD.
Best
science combination is: PEM/EPS - 5BBCC. In my opinion, this is an upward
direction and can improve, but needs to be sustained by a concerted effort of
all actors. We need a forum (I dont mean cyberspace) where challenges, lessons
learnt, possible actions can be discussed and shared among all stakeholders
including teachers, school leadership and parents. Mvara Old Students
Association, has come up a think tank that is sitting to engage in such an
analysis and hopefully we shall invite all who are interested at a convinient
time.

TIll then...

Sam

Re: [WestNileNet] A ELEVEL RESULTS-WEST NILE SCHOOLS.

2011-03-10 Thread Gilbert Ringtho
Thx Candia,

This time there is tremendous recovery for regional traditional schools, going
by the press; Nabumali, Jinja College, Mwiri,Layibi, Ntare, sacred
Heart-Gulu.etc.

Westnile is therefore challenged to; identify on one by one basis, factors
impeding this move and tackle them.I think we can build on this.

Alot of homework has to be done in the area of family economic power(
something
to sell to keep each family ecomically afloat);
Why? Each family is now financially stretched, parents used to pay tuition up
to
A-level and sit back, but now this line of responsibility is longer-upto
University and thereafter. Each family needs to work harder to shoulder this
commitment.

And, also bring back family and societal discipline in our young ones; not
beating but preaching self respect and discipline, surely this is getting down.
And many more.

Our leaders, political, religous, elders, peers will have to sensitise the
masses. i.e Articulate impact of Government policy on Westnilers and how they
can prepare themselves positively and many more areas.

Lets be pragmtic in our efforts. e.g  We demanded tarmacked road, we got it and
no one can doubt the impact of this on our economic progress.We need more;
Electricity, Educ revival, Agric. revival,Air transport, Forestry revival,
etc.Westnile can Identify her Key success Factors and realise them...we need to
move to new/ better levels.

Gilbert

I have read in the news papers the performance of our schools in West Nile in

A school like  St. Joseph's college-Ombaci having only one A and 3 Bs is not
encouraging. May be the news papers were not accurate. Mvara results were
encouraging though according to the papers.
Any friend who can update us with an accurate  A level results of schools in

Thx Fellow WestNilers,

Pse attach evidence of this disparity.
However, I think, rather than lament so much.Lets pick ourselves and revive
our
hard working spirit. We can change this trendin the nearby future:

-Focus on economic power( Trade, Agric, Educ)
-Use the existing social amenities and work thro.
-Transfer some of the earnings from here/ or in diaspora to stimulate-growth in
our different localities/villages, Batoro, Bafumbira  etc are doing.
-Accept to start small and grow.

With economic strength/might, many things will start to fall in line.I dont
think situations can remain dire forever.

Thanks Christine,

I needed more courage to write meaningfully (I hope), given that the news of
David's passing, coupled with the late Mrs Amandua a few years ago struck a
powerful emotional cord...

It is quite disheartening and a complete waste to lose such a young life  at
the
prime of his youth and hence potentially bright future. What I do not
understand
is: Why all  these rampant deaths? It appears this year has started rather
cruelly for our community, where virtually no week passes without the loss of
life.

Without idealizing unnecessarily, it is very difficult to understand why our
people die rather easily from sometimes purely preventable causes...road/car
accidents, unprofessional medical practices, other morbid situations etc. All
things considered, one hopes for a time where such a grim and rather frequent
statistic will be reversed in our community.

Heartfelt condolences  to Dr Amandua and family, although it is beginning to
sound rather vain if not abstract to keep wishing 'strength and courage to the
bereaved family' and yet here we go again!

Subject: [WestNileNet] Gaaga accident

Some time, last year, we met the owners of the different buses and
discussed the rampant accidents on our route. We then had a meeting
with all the drivers of Gaaga, the owner, and technical staff. The
meeting lasted for almost six hours we made some resolutions, the
drivers gave their view. As a result we had no accidents during the
festive periods. I too was shocked with the news of this accident
which injured 38 people and I think 7 died. As to what happened, I
understand the driver of the bus hit a cow the impact of which swerved
the bus right in front of an approaching lorry. The driver then
swerved back on his side not knowing that the lorry in bid to avoid a
head on collusion decided to cross to the bus's original side and as a
result, the lorry hit the bus tearing through a side.

Dear all,

While a legal injunction should most definitely pursued
i
call your attention to the fact that this is largely a political issue. It may
be wise to seek an intervention that is overtly political like a signed
petition
making this an electable issue as is your right.

I would also counsel opportunities to introduce this issue directly into the
campaign debate as it touches on responsibility for public assets and the
wider
question of asset stripping in general.

Dear All,
I am sure many of you knew Charles Atama. He passed away early morning of
Sunday
the 12th of December 2010. We buried him on Tuesday the 14th of December 2010.
We were arranging his wedding which was supposed to take place this Sunday the
19th of December 2010. The initial date proposed was the 18th December 2010 but
then it was realised that the bishop was going to be consecrated on this date
hence the move to have his wedding on the 19th. His death was verry sudden,
unexpected and a very very big blow to us. I apologize especiaLLY TO William
Worodria who was his long time OB and friend.

I was too traumatised by his sudden death to even think about any communication.

Dear all:

During 9pm NTV news last night, the police boss, Kale Kaihura said the
bus in question was KK travelling from Koboko to Kampala. That the
accident occurred between Nebbi and Pakwach when the bus collided
head-on with a fuel tanker from travelling Kampala. Sixteen people
died on spot and 4 died later. That the bus was only carrying 35
people.

What a tragedy yet again!

Re: [WestNileNet] Re: My [ENG. AJEDRA ARIDRU] Proposals for What should be the Election issues in West Nile

2010-10-18 Thread Gilbert Ringtho
the politicians. Get challenged to rally the local people to
interprete Government policies such as the UPE and USE; how they affect us
now and help us to visualise the future given our religious following of the
policies. Government is just a means but not a solution, we should not fear to
tackle policies which blindfold us. We should be able to openly bring forth the
pros and cones of government policies so that we can make informed decisions.

Let us challenge our people to plan better for their families as goes the
saying, "a man's success is counted not in the money he makes but what family
he
brings out". Fear not the people to make them know that they are the greater
part of the solution and the external support, be it from the government and
other partners will be but a drop.

My apologies for sounding cynical in this debate. It is food for thought.

Dear Ruffino,

Thanks for your inquiry.  As I had said in my previous contribution, my
philosophy in politics is to partner with government in development programs,
making it easier for one to lobby.

With regard to how I intend to address the issues of: Power, Water, Sanitation,
Poverty alleviation, Education, Promotion of Unity, etc, it is best if I avail
you my manifesto.  It is all detailed in the manifesto.

Lack of unity and common voice of  our Members of Parliament (from West Nile)
is
one of the major contributors for poor delivery of services to our people.  To
this end, if elected I intend to energize the West Nile Parliamentary Coccus,
which is not affiliated to any political party or interest.

Please let me know how you can get a copy.

Regards,

Eng. Dr. Ajedra Gabriel ARIDRU

Hi friends,

Definitive topics-covering areas of our needs are important.Lets itemise them
and see which policians have programmes that suit us;

Road,  educ, health, agric potential, agro-industries, skills gap,
social/cultural hegemony, position Arua as a city, rural transport,
eelectricity, clean water & sanitation, Arua airport, improvement of farm
institutes, environmental protection.etc.

The agenda/programmes must answer Westnile's specific needs and not blanket
needs & with specific timelines.

It is only then that we can have politicians answerable to us and the other way
round.

Friends, Lets build on this to define ourselves better. Its no more about
rhetoric.

Subject: [WestNileNet] Re: What should be the Election issues in West Nile

Fellow WestNilers,

Fr. Ruffino suggested that we should have a discussion on what the issues of
priority will be for our region in the coming elections. I know almost
everything is our region is a problem, including food which used to be in
abundance during those days when each homestead had at least two or three
granaries to store produce from the gardens. Immediately after the war and and
coming back from exile, our homesteads have no granaries and we have seen the
suffering of people who now have to buy food from the market. Although part of
the problem of scarcity of food in our region is selling of produce by the
local
farmers in Southern Sudan, we need to have a serious agenda to advocate for
food
security in West Nile.

1. Food Security becomes in my view an important issue to be address in our
region. The loss of soil and soil fertility due to erosion, the depletion of
vegetation associated with the labour intensive tobacco production, coupled
with
population pressure has diminished and exhausted available arable
land, resulting in reduced food production. We need to advocate for elimination
of tobacco growth in our region and find other ways to improve food production
which can have some economic benefit in place of tobacco. Hopefully the recent
issues taken against tobacco companies can highly feature in the campaigns to
bring the tobacco companies to book. Food security in some has a close
association with poverty and unhealthy population. I hope we can all agree that
a hungry population is an unproductive population.

2. Energy - (Electricity supply) to me is another serious development factor or
contributor which has eluded our region for a long time. Our region has been
played as ping pong game by the government for a long time - WENRECO has failed
the region with Intermittent power, Nyagak has not been completed and it looks
like it will not be completed in the near future. I heard from the newspapers
that there is a discussion with Malaysian company to build yet a new a thermal
power plant in West Nile (I am not sure if anything has been mentioned about
completing Nyagak). With an already degraded environment in our region, and the
dangerous environmental consequences of Thermal power,  I wonder if the issue
of
thermal power is a good idea for our region. Whatever happened to the
completion
of Nyagak?  I would tend to think that the challenges we have experienced in
the
energy sector should be used as an opportunity to plan to a long term Green
Energy concepts. Green Energy would at least help in alleviating some of the
environmental consequences we have experienced in our area. I think this issue
needs to be addressed with specific time frame, lest we are doomed in our
development agenda. I think that a reliable and sufficient energy/power
resources is vital and a one of the key drivers of development.

3. Water and sanitation - this is another area of priority which I think we
should very seriously consider because most of the water supply in the region
is
from Boreholes. Our fast growing population equally has
significantly increased water demand for both domestic and agricultural use. We
are bound experience serious water shortage in the near future as the vagaries
of climate change and environmental degradation will dictate on on limited
water
resources. While we can still get water from boreholes we need to think of
conservation ideas of how we can pump and store water from the boreholes into
storage tanks so that the supply of water can be properly controlled based on
the how much a location uses. Storage water will also offer the opportunity of
at least ensuring the treatment of the water before storage so that there is
supply of clean water. This will in the end have some health benefits when
people consume relatively clean water. We should be aware by now that getting
water from the Nile may have a lot of Problems because of the the restrictions
from countries like Sudan and Egypt (Nile Basin Agreement) or will req

I am glad you have raised this. I have followed this issue of Simei Nyai with

To my surprise no politician from West Nile picked to address the issue on the

Very unfortunate to hear that we are allowing politicians to define everything
for us.Westnilers are known for their resilience and self-reliance; created
"Arua Boys"a phrase synonymous with Achievement...no politician did

Was watching  the Kenyan Post-referendum Commentaties last night on Citizen

Mr. Andua my brother,

I share many of the sentiments you have expounded. Infact i hold fairly strong
views about this craze for districts, for now i will hold my peace so as not to
water down the little research i am working on regarding the creation of
"ethnic
entities" packaged as districts. In order to achieve my goals, i consiously
chose to perform what i deliberately called "the task of the MC" so as to gain
more insight into these events. True to my expectations, there was a lot to
learn first hand from this one day's event. You should have heard the comments
when it became clear that an Ezaga, from Terego, was the MC and not a son of
the
soil!!!  These were the kind of learning points i was looking for. You, on the
other hand, has had the unenviable pain of witnessing the disintegration of our
otherwise formidable social setting at close range, a situation many of us have
not had.

It was therefore NOT A CASE OF BEING LURED as you impute. Had that been the
case, believe you me, i would have long fallen into the trap of being lured by
one of the many offerings i have encountered over the years. Please rest
assured
that i am well beyond the time of simply being lured. However, I take solace in
the fact that "it is only what God has put together that no man can put
asunder". Anything else can be re-arranged so to speak, afterall no law is cast
in iron and steel!

I do hope that this little repository of information i am building will inform
the decisions and actions of those of you and me who have chosen to remain
focused on the big picture. Let's keep watching.

Great Idea Pat.

It needs to be nurturedwe are largely a product of those many debates and
School clubs & seminars.( recall; vibrancy of debates bn Ombaci, Mvara & Pokea
Seminary)...Is it possible, in each of these schools, to enforce
debates.OBs
can then as usual.. sponsor required facilitation; books, reams of papers, pens
and other gifts for best debators, and some token to the  Patrons of Schools'
Debating clubs.

The future is bound to be more competitive...we need 'seasoned products', to
continously and sustainably, have that burning desire to grow and develop

Dear Colleagues

This is a very good initiative that we should work to nurture among the young
people in our region. My observation in life is that much of the confidence and
leadership exhibited in adulthood actually comes from participation in debate,
drama and other such activities that allow us to express ourselves in public
and
argue out issues logically.

Trying and failing at that level is way better than failing to try. In
future Uganda can certainly beat those Eastern European sountries!

Best...

Dear all

I have just gotten this breaking news that Sharon treatment has been completed
and the tests done this day now confirm Sharon Cancer FREE. There is still one
more challenge we will likely face as we await the final medical bill.

Please check your pockets and wallets for whatever monies you have in readiness
to overcome this final medical bill challenge. We will appeal to you for this
support when we cant manage it considering that you have already done a great
deal.

Its not the rightful moment for me to say thank you for all your support, but
why not receive this thank you to have a taste of the real one after she jets
to Uganda?
