I honestly find difficult imagine him asking 100k for a gig
it was for NYE 2000, another popular techno luminary talked about often on 313
was asking not much less to play in adelaide on the same night (he didn't play
in the end).
its big business and dont be fooled. I'm not sure that someone
do belive booking him is big venue = big pay affair. something around
5k-10k should be a right figure.
Just had a look, $5000 US to $1 US = $8,764.24 AUD to $17,528.48 AUD
That fits into my original quoting of $15K _Australian_ dollars
Also, for Sydney, the amount that the promoters here
Wasn't Acid Eiffel, good track as that is.
and let's face it.. what the hell was 2/3 of what he played in that
last hour? Unbelievable.
It def. was not a 303 bass line, I'm guessing the wow-wow
sounds were
probably made by a Juno. But after hearing Acid Eiffel
again, i'm gonna
hunt
see thats what i thought. so i asked him. and he confirmed it.
although he did say something about throwing his own party instead of the
demf next year. he was mad because he wasn't invited to spin (as he should
have been).
last year he would regularly say things about how old he was getting.
isn't there something happening at the phoenix center or whatever in pontiac
on friday and saturday? or do i have the wrong week?
i heard kevin saunderson and magda were spinning on saturday. its quite
possible this happened last week. someone please update me.
this is what happens when school
Well I saw him only once at the last edition of Tribal Gathering (the
edition with the Detroit tent a live performance of Kraftwerk) where he
blew me of my socks. Alltough all Detroit DJ's play at least 3 times a year
in Belgium he doesn't (Stupid promoters). It definitely would be a shame if
he
maybe i'm just inexperienced in mills sets. but i think he's great, for
about 45 minutes to an hour. after that, energy seems to dissipate. i'm just
wondering if anyone else shares that opinion. i mean, compare him to another
giant, hawtin
It's all relative/subjective innit? Hawtin does nothing
He he... for those in Paris these days, the Pompidou Centre will show on the
14th September, 20h30, main hall, Mills' version...can't wait...

OK, 100K was crazy speculation, but the figures that I was quoting was
Australian dollars, on US, so depending on the conversion rate at the
time,
his asking price could appproach AU$15K. Also keep in mind
Theo Parrish - Parallel Dimensions (Sound Signature)
This has been out for a while now, but definitely deserves a mention. One of
Theo's strongest releases yet IMHO, the five tracks on this doublepack cover
a range of moods while keeping that deep and hypnotic vibe that
characterises most of his
and just in case : the price is FF 40, and guess who's spinning there @
18h00 ? Richie Hawtin... guess who's spinning there @ 19h00 ? Acquaviva...
