Anyone know if this is the real LFO and not that crappy boy band?
I assumed it was the boy band, but it does seem odd that they'd be at Metro
on this particular bill. Have the kids finally dissed them leavi
They will try to get anything there for you. They have a large selection of
Detroit records including Jeff Mills and Rob Hood. +8 and Probe too. They
have alot of out of print records sitting in the store that no one has
picked up yet. I recently purchased 5 copies of the first Spawn record

people pay insane prices on ebay. AND many don't even know what they're
buying, or looking for; i won martin circus - disco circus for $2, just
because it was listed with the title on the b-side, in the same week
someone else payed $40 for the same prelude pressing.

There's a copy of Moody Trax up at the moment with bidding at $355 - still
with two days to go:

what is the highest price for a classic detroit record you have witnessed
on
ebay or a shop?
unopened orignal sharivari on ebay, it was over $200.
i think moodymann's 'u can dance if u want 2' goes for even more then that!
actually most of those 'rare' moodymann records get insane bids. $120+
If I can be arsed I might download the mixes this evening and combine the
channels and do some kind of normalisation to try and sort it out a bit

yeah we had a bit of trouble with the decks - I think the needles were
knackered or something so one of them the sounds only seems to come out one
channel - some of the tunes start randomly skipping as well - :( [probably
worth taking a fresh pair of carts/needles to the next one I guess]

but is it left/right mixed or something ?
starting with Aril Brikha on the left side ???
the mixes aren't that tight in the beginning but the
track selection is nice
anyway after a while is turns out very nice

Hmm..611 has yet to impress me for some reason.
Perhaps because I'm usually shopping for more
non-straight forward techno. I've always thought their
glitch, IDM and micro house section needed some work.
Everytime I've gone in there recently jungle has been
blaring from the ceiling. 612 isn't what
I drive the 2.5 hours from D.C. to Philly to shop at 611 (sometimes to ONLY
shop at 611) as much as I can. They have a wonderful selection of techno, a
much broader range than Yoshitoshi, and a good backstock. The guy I talked
to last time I was there (ack don't remember name) said that they wil
Can you get a lot of the stuff that people mention on the
list at 611?? I haven't been over in a bit, and worse yet
I know someone who works there and never thought
to ask if they have some of the stuff, until this thread
came up...

Yep. Saturday was great fun, and it was good to see James making the
overseas debut, and joining that illustrious list of people who I owe a
drink! Though, you'll all have to excuse my set - tormented as it was by
fluff and skipping records.

Modern Music in my opinion was way better then YoshitoshiBUT...when i
was shopping in that area of the country for records Deep Dish had just
taken over the store in Georgetown, and had removed everything from the
store, and it was going to take them a while to get back on track. If they
