its great to see a whole new generation of DJ's discovering the funky
electronic sounds of Nitzer Ebb. especially the tracks Murderous and Join
in the Chant :^)
which Minstry was played? The Nature of Love is their most techno-y track
I can think of.

I've got confuser 001 - if it is Marco Carola, it doesn't sound like him
as it's got a rough edge to it and his productions are usually quite
crisp-sounding. However I've not heard any Tobias Schmidt records so

What is G-Tech?
I've noticed that 313 seems to be a lot more on the house vibe these days.
And everybody hates loops now.
I personally don't see what's offensive about a bunch of nice minimal loops.
(Of course some techno DJs are boring I agree...)

I'm curious as to who is behind the Soiree label and are they still
releasing records? Links?
Also Record Time's M record label (I think that's the name) - I picked one

I have a few items on Ebay if anyone is interested:
* Piece (Carl Craig) : Free Your Mind/Free Your Soul (Planet E)

nothing wrong with loops (minimal nation is maybe my favorite release ever).
but what people name detroit techno have something more then the loops,
when it is loopy. a detroit techno song must have 3 things in my opinion:
minimalism, seriousity (does this word existis? hehe) and feeling. i can
to keep perspective, you must consider that, to some, a lack of tangible
emotion in a track will instill a feeling of minimalizm or desolation.
reminds me of the ride from east side to southfield on i-75

So I take it from this line of responses (well, only two) that I'm not to
get an answer to my inquiry. Is it now anathema to mention Italian
DJ/producers or persons who didn't personally know Ken Collier?
Maybe I'm just out of the loop, for I had never heard of G-Tech until this
very moment.
I'm assuming they're referring to Ghetto Tech or Botty music. ie. Dj Assault
...is that what you wanted to know?

i've ever been on in terms of no BS, interesting relevant content, and
real participation from 'name' artists. it's frankly a great list.

Well, I'd say I somewhat agree, although not totally.
1. I think it can be done on two decks... but the mixing has to be
pretty quick certainly. Not letting records just play out but really
mixing and playing around with them.
2. Not all looped bangers are equally interesting! Some records
the jazz fest was one of my best memories of detroit as a child.
I'll never forget (I hope) seeing dizzy gillespie play there, relatively
soon before he passed away.
a great great time, I wish I could go.

Hi
I am chasing info on a mysterious record I found
amongst the assorted masses of 'interesting' (read :

It is on a label called 'Future Monument' and is by an
artist called lord commix
excellent detroit inspired techno house!
the tracks are :

the M3 label out of record time was headed up by mike huckaby and had various
releases including alton miller , rick wade , ect.the label is now
defunct and out of print from what has been told to me by
