Agreed that they're worth checking out, although I think it a bit of a
stretch to call it electro - more electronic dub really, and pretty
different to anything else that was around at the time
Cybotronic have been claimed as proto-techno, due to the
people involved with it, but their sound reminds of electro (without
the hip hop attitude) and, erm, UK pop dude Gary Numan. The
techno we got to know as techno (since the late 80s) has more in
common with house music than with electro.

clarke and the mix that did breakbeat master. j .soul kane aka depth

ok, both of them were out on a double lp version, i remeber seeing the
dave clark couple of years ago in a second hand store in london, but i allways
prefer the 12 for spinning so i did not buy it.
the human track on the start is a superb track, made by mike oliver from
smallfish my guess is that
also worth checking is the coldcut dj food mix on jdj series, less on
the elektro but this cd rocks as hell.

there's a good one called 'Futurism' on City Rockers and I've also been
recommended Detroit Grand Pubahs 'Funk Ya'll. I've already got Japanese
Telecom which is good so something similar would be cool.

Well if you like Japanese telecom then you'll love the Dopplereffekt CD on
Gigiolo...even better in my opinion..
