AFAIK That Richie Rich who did Salsa House is/was New Yorker. Not
Hawtin.
Richie Rich was from the UK. However the DJ for Third Bass was also called
Richie Rich, from New York...
BTW Ralphi Rosario did not work with Richie Rich, there was a bootleg mix
called You Used to Salsa which mixed Richie Rich's Salsa House with Ralphi
Rosario's You Used to Hold Me, which
Maybe there's room for another Richie Rich then. The Hungarian Richie Rich
perhaps.

Though Hawtin did make some claim to the name as anyone who remembers the
looped sample on his FUSE Technotropic 12 on Plus 8 will remember, it went
something like 'and now ladies and gentlemen ri-ri-ri-ri-ri-richie rich' x 20.
Another great Richie Rich is of course the characters played by

You'd prefer he roll-back to '96? I understand you mean that you were bored

I have to agree with Peter, Ritchie has played better sets. I personally felt
that after seeing Mr Hawtin for the fourth time on his DF9 tour that this is
quite possibly what I would expect if I were at a rock concert; preprogrammed,
uninspired clinical, just another show. This is the last time

Was this a track that starts out tribal-ish house and progesses into a long
lush ambient-ish synth line midway and goes for 10 min +?
I'll back you up on that. I think what made the set fun was general vibe.
I've personally always thought Richie's stuff has always sounded a tad
mechanical but lots of people like that and thats cool. I bought that last
CD and will never buy another Hawtin CD ever. Just too mechanical lacked
