I was persuaded to go to that (or was it Pendragon .. does it matter?) on a
stag night that happened to end up in Brixton. I sat there while my mates
danced & just watching all the cyberfreaks cybering about, trying to work
out what it was about the hard trance they enjoyed. I put it down to the

The End in London: This sound system is so sick. I know some people who
don't like it but I think it depends who you see spinning on it, b/c they
have separate PA settings for all the regular performers. I like the setup
of the entire club. Clearly there are sometimes issues with the crowds
there,
udson if you don't hand
over your money. lovely view.

Which club is this? I moved to Minneapolis about a year ago and haven't
found any good ones yet save the occasional night at the Quest. I guess
I am more concerned about the music than the actual physical space ;-).
Does anyone know of any clubs in the twin cities where *real* techno

:Yeah! And
Yeah! And proper dark too. I preferred the simple basement and ground floor
set up. I haven't been for years but there used to be a wee raised bit in
the middle of the ground level dancefloor and it'd be well dangerous when it
was pitch dark. Pure @ the Venue back then set up high hopes for life in
I agree with the Venue in Edinburgh - I have only been through a couple of
times for Pure when it used to be there. I liked the way they opened the
door at the top of the stairs to let some air in but didnt let you hang
about there for obvious reasons.
Also, when Pure used to do their ex

For (I think) pretty obvious reasons, most of the best venues tend to be
overun with a clientelle that makes them less desirable to go to. But, if
we're just talking about the space itself, these are 4 of my favorites (3
big, one small):

I wouldn't go to a club with a dress code as a point of principle (even
if I fitted in with the code)
