[AFMUG] LTE SIM cards

2020-12-04 Thread David Coudron
As we make our way into LTE for fixed wireless we are finding a new wrinkle with the management of sim card data. It seems the SIM card manufacturers only print the ICCID on the card, but want to send the rest of the data fields separately. We are finding that they will send a spreadsheet

I use Grandstream, and BLF is Broken when trying to use SIP over TCP. I've never had a NAT problem before. I was just checking the other Offnet phones that I have, and through sheer happenstance, those handsets all coming in and leaving on the same transit provider. Interesting is that the

Hmmm, why would that not be a NAT problem. Translation tables are built based on TO and FROM packets - so a change in either means the packet is not part of an established translation and gets dropped. -- Larry Smith lesm...@ecsis.net On Thu December 3 2020 18:32, Nate Burke wrote: > I don't

Is there a reason not to use SIP over TCP? I think in the past I thought retransmits were irrelevant in a realtime app, but the latency is low enough sometimes now that maybe it would actually help.  And TCP seems to traverse NAT more easily. On 12/3/2020 6:18 PM, Nate Burke wrote: I'm

If you've already got hardened connectors in the field then maybe this opinion is irrelevant, but look at Commscope OFDC drop closures in the future. They use standard connectors, so you can put an SOC on a tight buffered drop fiber like Corning ROC-drop or similar.  And there never seems to
