We had a strange outage on one of our networks yesterday. At first we
thought it was one customer. The symptom was very low to non-existent
internet traffic. The complaint was my internet is not working!
Upon testing I found that the complaining customer had for a speed test
about 0.14kbps
If you use plastic bags to squirt the foam into, the foam will not stick
to anything and yet form nice little pillow blocks that fit only one
way. Same technique can be used for shipping fragile stuff in boxes or
crates

Even better, just get instapak bags and a box that fits your case. Put a

If you wrapped your splice case and slack loops with film then the foam would
not stick. I sure don’t want to have to deal with foam stuck on everything.

Instead of a styrofoam block, just get a polyurethane foam injection setup
like they use to lift concrete. Squirt some foam around the case, shave
the top a few inches below grade, and then cover it with dirt and sod.

I pictured wrapping a case in plastic wrap and just using it as a form
to mold some foam into the right shape.

Haven't tried it at all but the company website says it's polyurethane. I
never thought it looked worth trying for posts but thought it might work to
pour it around a splice case to make a foam block like Chuck was talking about.
Now that I'm thinking about it though, it wouldn't just be a poc

So do you carve a handhole pocket out of a solid block, or mold the

I wonder if you could mold your own out of polyurethane foam.
