I don't know what's special about the 5775 SMs, but we have a bunch and they work fine on 5750APs. If by 5700AP you mean a non-Advantage 5.7 AP, it should register since the 5775s appear to be standard 7Mb SMs. Advantage SM to non-Advantage AP is a no-go. Anything will connect to an Advantage A
