Re: [Trinidad] Future of Apache MyFaces Trinidad for 1.x and 2.x
HEllo Manuel, Trinidad 1.0.x will have one last release (see current vote result on dev@). After that there is most likely no new release of Trinidad 1.0.x (optimized for JSF 1.1) Trinidad 1.2.x will have a very few releases, basically for maintenance reasons. Trinidad 2.0.x (for JSF2) is the most 'active' development, and releases are planed. Once we (Trinidad's pom file) move to the new nexus/release infrastructure, releases are cheap and easy to do. Actually I am currently looking into this. Re: [Trinidad] Roadmap
Hello Walter, Trinidad 1.0.x will have one last release (see current vote result on dev@). HTH, Matthias 2011/1/8 Walter Mourão walter.mou...@gmail.com: Hi Folks, is there a Trinidad 2.0 road map anywhere ? Re: [hudson] Slave on EC2?
What about CloudBees? Thus the need for my earlier idea (for which I also lobbied initial budget approval) of setting up an extra on-demand slave on EC2 for handling load peaks has mostly gone away. So the question is, should I still look at setting up an EC2 slave? Beyond load balancing, the other reason for running builds in the cloud is the availability of a wider variety of build environments. Basically we could provision an on-demand build slave for any environment for which an AMI exists or can be created. I don't have a pressing need for that from the projects I work with, but perhaps others are interested? Codi - generating viewconfig impls?
Hi, would it make sense to generate viewconfig impl classes, based on the available XHTML files? Would help to reduce some boilerplate code... If XHTML file is named foo_bar.xhml, the generated java file could look like @Page( name=foo_bar ) public final class FooBar implements ViewConfig { } for an XHTML page like fooBar.xhtml the generated code would look like: @Page public final class FooBar implements ViewConfig { } Of course, once the developer added the @PageBean the 'regeneration' should be able to catch that in order 'reinject' any @PageBean What do you think ? -Matthias

[Trinidad BUILD] Can we update the portlet-bridge version ?
Hi, the TRUNK has this dependency portlet-bridge.version1.0.0-beta/portlet-bridge.version which causes some *problems* when you delete your entire REPO. Why? It's OLD portlet-bridge-master-pom-2 has: a) overridden the repositories section ([1]) b) dependency to myfaces-6 (Trinidad has against 9) in a) there is the WORST ever repo: urlhttps://maven-repository.dev.java.net/nonav/repository/url what's wrong with that REPO? Well it has been removed. and it issues redirects via HTML... Yes, I really don't know why... Hence... for portlet-bridge-master-pom-2 MAVEN had to download myfaces-6, but the repo is gone (g) ... and the maven tool is not a human, so it really can't read this HTML: ... The document has moved a href=http://download.java.net/maven/1/org.apache.myfaces/poms/myfaces-6.pom;here/a. ... So it (maven) ended up downloading a HTML file It took a good amount of time to realize the above dilemma.. Quick fix: manually downloaded myfaces-6. This made the build running, but yes the problem is really the 'relocation' of that mentioned repo. Therefore... we should update the TRINIDAD TRUNK to use a newer version than: portlet-bridge.version (1.0.0-beta). Since the master poms have been touched and updated the bogus (relocated) repo to it's real, new URL. Scott, can you update the version ? -Matthias [1] https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/myfaces/portlet-bridge/master-pom/tags/portlet-bridge-master-pom-2/pom.xml -- Matthias Wessendorf blog: http://matthiaswessendorf.wordpress.com/ sessions: http://www.slideshare.net/mwessendorf twitter: http://twitter.com/mwessendorf

Re: [Trinidad] I updated the Trinidad site (browsers.xml), any one know how to get it updated on the web?
In regard to the new ASF website, @joesuf just mentioned that for maven based sites the svnpubsub approach is the desired one. [Committers] Reminder: License Headers
Hi guys, just a reminder... Please make sure that all files (XML, Java, scripts, etc) do require a proper license header. There is a tool ([1]) that can be used during the build, so that we do get a nice report, like [2],[3]. Re: composite components: optional method-expression-attributes
I saw the discussion on the open jsr list. Jakob, is there any archive for Thomas to read the mails? -M sent from my Android phone On Nov 3, 2010 6:37 PM, Jakob Korherr jakob.korh...@gmail.com wrote: Hi Thomas, What you have encountered here is a known design problem of JSF 2.0. Currently we (the MyFaces team) are working hard to get all of this fixed for the JSF 2.1 specification, because - as you know - this stuff is really annoying and makes composite components unusable in the most scenarios. Sorry, but that is all we can do right now. Fortunately the JSF 2.1 spec release will be very soon! Regards, Jakob 2010/11/3 Thomas Möller thomas.moel...@continentale.de: Finally it seems to me that the targets-feature is only sufficient for the simplest scenarios. There are too many restrictions: 1) only for a restricted set of attribute names: action, actionListener, validator, valueChangeListener 2) not supported in nested attributes So, what is the solution in my scenario (I thought it was simple enough): a composite component that consists of a panel with two buttons and *optional* actions and actionListeners. I want to use it in the following way: either 1) my:twoButtons action1=... actionListener1=... action2=... actionListener2=... / or 2) my:twoButtons2 button1=... button2=... / relying on a button model: public interface Button { String action(); void actionListener(ActionEvent e); } I tried to solve this problem without tricks like writing own tag handlers or modifying the facelets view declaration language. I'd really like to get an answer for this... ;-) -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/composite-components%3A-optional-method-expression-attributes-tp30067392p30120526.html Sent from the MyFaces - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- Jakob Korherr blog: http://www.jakobk.com twitter: http://twitter.com/jakobkorherr work: http://www.irian.at
