Have you tried alsa 0.9.0rc6? alsa 0.5.x is officially 'obsolete' so it may
not work properly with the latest kernels as it's not being maintained any
more.
Why do people even try the v5 version?
This is not the first person.
Where are the old versions coming from?

Hi!

Hi!
There is 24/32bit support in alsa. I think you might try it with ecasound
(or ecaplay which is included in ecasound).
If you want to play it with ecasound just do:
ecasound -f:24,2,44100 -i my_file.wav -o /dev/dsp
or:
ecaplay my_file.wav

Hi there,
I'm trying to get the midi inputs on the livedrive working, and having
looked at the source, I *think* it's been detected, but i'm not sure which
device it is or what to check. I've also been told that the infra red
device talks to the computer through sysex messages on this port, and

Hi,

there was a fix for your card just recently. It was posted on this list. If
you don't have it already, try the 0.9.0rc6.
yes, that's the version i'm using.
Speaking of the console beep, just try speaker.

Hello,
does anybody have experience with using the 'share' plugin in .asoundrc?
I own a multichannel card and want to use outputs 1/2 and 3/4 as

Now I set up my asoundrc file as in ref. 1 and it works fine. Well,

I can use either output 1/2 -or- 3/4, but not at the same
