[amsat-bb] Connector Loss ?

2010-08-04 Thread John Heath
Hi Satelliters,   Setting up a shack at the new QTH.   Does anyone have  measured loss figures for "N" type connectors in a cable run on 145 MHz and 437.   I have seen 0.5dB per connector quoted but have no idea if this accurate, theoretical,  or measured.     73

Matt...my suggestion is to delete version 12a and get the latest version off the website, as I have no problems with v12b. Also, my HO-67 uses the same data, $3F,1 not what you have. See what others say, as dont depend on this old guy, hi. John W6ZKH

Check out June 1991 QST Product Review. Alinco DJ-560T Icom IC-32AT Kenwood TH-77A Standard C228A Yaesu FT-470 All capable of Full Duplex operation, all with BNC antenna connections. Only the IC-32AT does not have dual display and is not capable of simultaneous dual-band receive. John

2010-07-26 Thread John Geiger
I wasn't aware of that. Guess the fact that it didn't do dual receive or have dual displays fooled me. In that case, I think the Icom T21A would also work as it will do full duplex, but can't transmit on 70cm, but it would work in Mode J. Think the Kenwood TH28A is the same.
