Hello there,
I am new to this forum, so theese questions may already have been
answered, but I take a chance:
1) I have a Canon BN-22 laptop (486) b&w screen and built-in
printer. I have arachne v 1.65 installed, and downloaded v 1.70
and tried to install it. I executed the arach170.exe file and

Hey Group
Steve- thanks for the reply. I am a little nervous about this...put my
boot disk in, (this is one I made using drdos) and at the c:\ prompt I
typed "fdisk /mbr". I select #5 which asks if you want to creat a new

I am one of those dedicated DOS users, with his favorite DOS games. I
have a DOS game that plays well when shelled from arachne and can be
played via modem or direct null modem. Here is the question. Is there
a way to play the game live, via telnet, like com/ip allows in windows

On another list service I have received a couple of virii (actually worms)
that were included as part of e-mail messages. As best as I could figure

Thanks, Steve. It WAS interesting in several ways.
I hope others found it at least as educational as I did.

No. SSL require that a SSL deamon is run (a deamon in UNIX is what a TSR is
in DOS, more or less anyway). What you can do with your shell account is
not interesting.

You are mixing things up here Clarence. That there's no telnet deamon
running at arachne.cz doesn't mean y

Since it's not the _exact_ same placing on the disk (but very very close)
you can get old data that was "removed" and "overwritten".

mail services. An examp

To my knowledge there are no such virrii... but if the execution or
opening is automatic harm can be done.
