Hi, Did you scratch the DB, or did you do an upgrade install on top? Some considerable time ago I recall that the installation broke if you specified something other than Demo and an empty password. I have tried the Demo user both with and without the password in this case... Best Regard

There is a known issue with a running server, where the AR System service taking 5 minutes+ to start against a remote Oracle DB server, but that is, sort of, behaving as expected. This problem is different. The installation script is supposed to wait for the AR System to restart before continuing

Hi, I actually do not know exactly. BMC has been enhancing performance with each version. Someone with more knowledge about MidTier and versions should be able give us a more detailed answer. The best way to figure this out, as always (almost), is to turn on your various log files :-)
