The GUID isn't automatically populated in earlier versions of ARS (I believe
7.5 is the first version which does). For lower versions you need to use a
run process as you have been doing. Sounds like there's either a
documentation bug or you're looking at a newer help file.

Are both prod and dev servers pointing to the same LDAP server with the same

Sounds like some oddity in the LDAP/ARDBC configuration - at least that
would be the first place I looked. Check the timestamp on
I'd suggest calling the OpenGuide method and calling an Active Link guide with
an Open Window action if you want that degree of control..

no User record, no non-zero return.

If you're using SQL 2008 you can enable FILESTREAM for BLOB storage to the
filesystem. This is a system property so all Attachment fields, both
existing and ones created in the future, will use this storage mechanism.

might also think of moving the table field to a dialog (if possible) so
you can better control user behavior and interaction.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

Another option would be to create a serialized query function or stored proc
and then execute it from a SQL Set Fields.
For example:
DECLARE @eid_list varchar(255), @eid_entry varchar(20)
DECLARE eid_cursor CURSOR FOR
SELECT Request_ID FROM User_x
OPEN eid_cursor
FETCH NEXT FROM eid_cursor
system
bugs.
For example:
if CoCreateAnnoyance(*m_sarcasticnewbie-emailmessage)
{
DeleteInstance(*m_sarcasticnewbie);
}
return 0;
Just sayin ;)
Hope this helps!

There's no On Hover event to trigger anything like that, I'm afraid, on the
WUT. As Tim pointed out, it's available on the Mid-Tier since browsers
support OnMouseOver events. It could be done On Focus, however, for the WUT
so that may be an option depending on your requirement.

What do you mean by copied the server? Did you move the server's file
system? What platform is the AR Server and DB running on? What DB are you
using? Is it a remote or local DB?
All those things could be factors so a little more info would help alot. :)

I would try it this way - incorporate your VB Script into an ASP/X page and
call it as a Web Service. This would seem the easiest path to take.

Keep in mind, one size does *not* fit all. In fact, there's a suprising

Candace,
This issue is related to an object variable in your code not being
initialized. You should have created the object using syntax like this:
YourClass oVariable = new YourClass(Constructor Params);
Then you can use the methods of that variable at will -
oVariable.DoSomething() or
such an approach would work for ARDBC.
Hope this helps,

I've hit this wall many times, and how you handle it is largely dependant on
where the bottleneck lies.
Have you logged the transaction to see if your DB is hanging on the query
for the View Form, or your workflow during Filter processing, or...?
