my flight code works! he flies around on the x axis, as this is a side scroller, i just cant get the main music to play when you start the game, only when you land. new footsteps have been added as well, and the flight movement stuff only works

Great news! ive managed to make it so you can actually get the grappling hook now! all I need to see is how I can move it in the stereo field once the player is in range of it, and why it loops in a really weird fashion when you even come close

ok. uploaded the latest version, with a few fixes as as well as a couple of issues. The first, and probably the most obvious is that the grappling hook doesnt pan. Ill have a look and see if i can figure out how to pan it without using separate
