If your device can play the m4a files, you might consider playing those directly. Converting between lossy formats is always a bit of a risky business.

Sebby,No my prefered music playing program does not play m4a files.Only .wav and.mp3I use Studio Recorder from APH.I wouldnt recommend it as it is very expensive, but I like some of the advanced features.

Interesting, Phil, which player is that? The iTunes purchases are all unprotected, so pretty much any player should be able to play m4a files; even my old Symbia phone could.

Winamp is fine with m4a, however when I converted a cd with Itunes and then tried to find the sound files they werent there, and I dont trust any system that hides its files. To be honest Im more concerned with trying to get Itunes to transfer

Is the device even showing up in the devices list?Go to the music options and make sure thats checked. Then make sure selected playlists is checked. Then make sure the ones you want are one and sync. Go through all the options to make sure manal

The process doesnt have to be complicated. Launch an app, and start its FTP/WebDAV server. Then use your PC to open a shortcut on your desktop or wherever, and in the Explorer view thus displayed, copy over your stuff. Now you use the disk app

Hi,The trouble is, apparently according to changelogs in updates for iTunes anyway, the older versions of iTunes, dont support the newer versions of iOS.

Well the latest version of Itunes 11 should support ios 8, and to be honest its apples own stupid fault for cocking up the interface.Maybe I should just chuck all this itunes crap and buy myself an mp3 player, and only use my phone as a stand

Well Ive downloaded the so called up grade, and found it to be a cruddy peace of rubbish with a crappier interface with no side barrs meaning yhuge amounts of tabs and confusion just to get audio onto my Iphone. So Ive got the so called better

You have to select the music tab. Its the same is before, its just in a different location. Just keep tabbing, youll find it. If I remember corectly, its before all of those options that you just listed
