Hi Dennis,
How is your Transporter connected to the power amp, with RCA or XLR?
What kind of passive attenuation are you using? I had mine connected
via RCA (with built-in attenuation) and I'm upgrading to XLR by adding
external attenuators (I just ordered Endler's ones) and I'm very curious
to s
Thank You for the info. That is great.
Clock injection with Airport Express is not possible. This one uses a
12MHz clock for a USB Receiver which generates spdif. Clock signal is
derived by PLL. So no exact multiple of BCK is possible.
There is a new way for my project. I couldn't sleep well wi
This my first post, so please be gentle. :)
I've had my Squeezebox Duet for about a year now. Recently upgraded to
a Denon 3808ci and Axiom Audio M80s for stereo listening. I currently
have the SBR outputting to the Denon via toslink.
My entire library is FLAC encoded (dbPowerAmp).

hello ligald, looking at your setup which is similar to my own i would
not describe them as a "high end" system products.
Linn and Naim do high end/expensive streamers.
i've never sought a so called high end setup which normally cost many

Speakers are a very personal choice.. but I can say that bigger isn't
always better. I would go check out some dealers.
One nice option for a good bedroom setup is to skip the amp and speaker
setup and get a pair of self-amped monitors. Audioengine A5 speakers
are amazing for the money ($350 US
Anyone have any suggestions?
I just bought a SB3 used with a redwine modded ElPak WM075-1950
powersupply.
I have this going into an old JVC stereo receiver that is on its way
out. Can someone suggest a good cheap start of a really nice setup?
I want this for my bedroom and going to sleep. The
Hi,
Before buying my final setup, I was really interested in Parasound and
I auditioned the combo A21/P3; I was really disappointed.
As the A21 really has an excellent reputation, I think that the problem
came from the pre-amplifier. This experience definitively convinced me
to go into a pre-am
One issue I just realized is that since my home theater plays through
the same fronts as my 2-channel listening, I do still need a
pre-amp...in my case, the integrated amp. If I ever build a dedicated
2-channel setup in the future I might go this route though. I had
auditioned some Parasound Hal
Hi,

Hi,
I just bought a new system with the Transporter plugged directly into
the power amplifier and I can only highly encourage you to do the same.
Having a high-end system, the result is simply superb! The shortest is
the signal path, the better is the sound quality. Furthermore you'll
save the ex
The lack of local, timely, competent support is indeed an issue.

Bitrate does not automatically equals good sound..and says nothing about
the quality, far from it. The sound is in the mastering.
What you might want to to is dublicate your Itunes library (if you have
that), keep one library for lossy stuff and another for lossless.
