Having them that close does have one advantage, you get excellent
coupling of the bass drivers and noticeable extra low-freq. punch.
I at least have my actives the width of an SB3 apart though.

They look nice.
Specs suggest they don't produce much bass at all (-6dB @ 80Hz). Would
need the sub for any pop/rock material I think.

Simon, if you don't get auto sensing actives, at least try to find
something with front mounted on/off switches. JBL and Genelec do but
many others hide the power switch at the rear of the cabinet.

There's also the serious issue of what type of RJ-45 connectors to
terminate the Cat 5 cable.
Re. wireless networks, that's been discussed. They're up in arms about
RFI issues affecting the rest of the kit.

a Cyrus XPA power amp with some passive speakers. The Cyrus is
