[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Re: Will SB3 output impedence change?

2006-03-22 Thread Davey
No, it won't change. The output impedance is primarily set by the value of a 220 ohm build-out resistor that is used to decouple capacitive loads. It's in the circuit all the time. The volume is controlled separately and upstream. Davey. -- Davey

(if at all) that translates to improved or different performance emerging from the digital or audio jacks is the real question. For me, the main benefit switching to the linear supply was that every AM radio in a 50 foot radius didn't go to never-neverland. YMMV. Cheers, Davey. -- Davey

curiosity at all if this is objectively measureable? I sure would. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, but the lack of apparent curiousity is puzzling to me. You modders are indeed an interesting breed. :) Cheers, Davey. -- Davey

Yeah, sorry. I'm such a wizard with Excel graphs. :) Take a look at it again. The 0-40 settings refer to the volume setting on the graphical display on the player. I didn't make any change to the preamp volume control settingit's at the default setting of zero. Cheers, Davey
