I had a look at the manual for the Hegel, and there's no mention of
being able to handle 24/192 anywhere.
If it were capable of handling 24/192 on any of the inputs they would
state so - it widens the scope for potential purchasers.
My Touch is quite happy dishing out 24/192 files to my 24/192
The maximum sample rate a Squeezebox Classic will support natively is
48000Hz.
LMS will downsample anything with a higher sample rate.

You will hear a difference, as the source material is stereo and the
left and right channel content will be different.
Try some mono source material - this will still haven left and right
channel content, but it will be same in both channels.

Installed and working - thanks.
I haven't noticed any improvement in sound quality, but it doesn't sound
any worse.
I'll have to bring the other Touch downstairs and link it up to the DAC
and synchronise playback to enable A/B comparison.

Buy CD's online at Amazon - go for the free delivery option, rip CD when
