Yes as I recall it was twins that were both named Manuel. I searched obits for
a period after and did not find one for either of them. So apparently the
intention of the parents was to name both of them Manuel.

This Virgino was born in Portugal (assuming Acores). There are many parishes
and unless you have any information as to what parish he belongs to it will
take time as there are over 70 parishes on Sao Miguel alone. I would try and
find when he immigrated to the us and then check the passports

There is so much more information you can keep on your own computer in this
software than any online cloud program. It is also good for sharing your
information in GEDCOM’s with other researchers. While I do not use this

I have all the marriages from Ribeirinha from 1836 to 1905 and they are not
there, prior to 1826 Ribeirinha was part of NS Estrela in Ribeira Grande. While
I have many births in Ribeirinha I do not have a Jacinto Pacheco/Moniz in the

I lean toward Doctor if he had meant “doutro” the letter D should not have
been capitalized. The way to tell for sure would be to check other records in
the time frame and see if his name is written as Doctor.

Yes I also see Brito. I have seen this name before in the Ribeira Grande
Concelho. The name is listed in James Guill’s book.

If he said he arrived on the Donna Maria on 18 Apr 1901 and the ship record
said the Donna Maria arrived in New York on 18 Apr 1901 then I would blow off
the age. Check the passports prior to the Donna Maria sailing and see if you
can find Antonio.

The reason you only have matches showing on the paternal tab is that you have
linked a paternal line relationship to your tree. These would be relations that
have taken an autosomal (Family Finder) test. You apparently have not linked a
person on your maternal side of your tree. What

Heritage. While the idea of a hack sounds bad, the only data taken was
