João Ventura, archivist, told us that many of the expostos were baptized at the various Matriz'. Bretanha belongs to Ponta Delgada and the Matriz in Ponta Delgada is São Sebastião. That's on the other side of the island. I do see Ribeira Grande mentioned in your document. That's on the north coast

I have no idea what you are looking for or the time period. If your ancestor was an exposto, then when she had children or got married it should say where she was from. Many expostos came from Ponta Delgada and Ribeira Grande and were given to people in nearby villages. Others were given to
