I have seen crazier things in some of the patent suits. It just boils down
to software patents are plain stupid and not what they had in mind when it
came to IP protection or patenting. It is really being abused as a tool to
stifle progress and competition. It's like the death throes of a dying

it probably depends on how you measure success. I prefer Google +
personally but for keeping in touch with old college friends and nephews
and such I'm pretty much stuck with keeping the Facebook account. But
Google + is much better for delivering interesting content.

that it has tons of room to grow globally and that it hasn't even begun to

It might improve their asset (cash) to liability ratio. The more cash
they have, the more likely they can pay their bills if their debts get
called early, for whatever reason. Were they generating any kind of
revenue from those patents?
