Fixed - your advice led me to it. Many thanks. The CFIDE was shared on the default web site in IIS but not every other site. Changed this and now flash forms now display ok. (phew!) Found a couple of tech notes on IIS and flash forms. These did work for me but may help others.

Yeah, this is a CF7 thing because it's to do with the new Enterprise Manager. The cfusion instance isn't supposed to be used in production. It's merely a template for you to use to create your production instances. Hence why it, and no other instance has the Enterprise Manager. You can default

John, One other thing to check would be the setting for how often CF checks the spool directory. Makes sure it's not too fast. If the sheduler checks the spool directory too often it might be stomping on it's own threads. I've never seen this - but I do consider it when I'm setting that value.

I'm not running any servers on BD. How BD handles this counts on what id does internally for client vars and when they are cleaned out. Note that I don't have 100% of the information on this as of yet and the memory structures for client variables might not work as I think or might clean out
