Yup, had a cfgrid that worked perfectly in CF8 and a to spreadsheet button
below. Hitting the button created a simple excel-sheet marked up in html with
minimal inline styles (cfcontent application/vnd.msexcel) opening like I
expected in MSOffice. Doing the same thing with OpenOffice gave me

Ben's list is unfortunately for the Netherlands terribly out of date. Most
companies listed there now use .NET or PHP, whilest there are a lot of CF-sites

In the beginning Eclipse was just too daunting to approach for a Homesite adept.
But as I was warming to the concept of CFEclipse CFBuilder emerged. And after
having seen a thorough demonstration of CFBuilder by Ben Forta over at the
Dutch CFUG I was almost over to the CFBuilder masses. But,
I'm currently using the video tag with a MS IE fallback (in Flash - JWPlayer)
in a new webshop we're currently releasing. Works in all modern browsers. Do
need two movie-files though, but that is overcomeable (is that a word?).

I cannot see anything wrong with your code either, but possibly there is some

Yes, we've had this same error popping up at times. It is most often in
combination with MySQL.
We got our hosting party to UNCHECK the 'maintain connections across client
requests'. We then got a new error from time to time, namely that user 'dbuser'
has exceeded the 'max_user_connections'
Hahahahahahhahahahaaa, that gave me the first good laugh of the day,

It's even stranger. We've continued to test today and on one instance on one
server the webservice runs without a hitch and on another server we get this
error. Within the same domain. Alas it fails on the server where it should run
and works on a server where it doesn't need to run... Crap!
