This is standard for Jrun. You will really need around 2GB of RAM (maybe
more) to get the full out of JRun and CFMX otherwise it will run out memory
very quickly.

The JRun in CFMX Enterprise is the same JRun as a JRun purchase according to
MM. Benefits of using the J2EE install with JRun? Clustering and seperate
instances are the first to come to mind.

Actually I've tried that but it doesn't seem to help. The IIS web service will stop
working for a while then start back up if I restart, but the jrun.exe itself is
still... I have no idea what it's doing, but it's taking up a lot of cpu time doing
it. Keeps doing it for hours if I let it.

I am getting the JRun error again:
Could not connect to JRun Connector Proxy
When using CFGraph I Have a customer who has this problem over and over
again. I even ran the hotfix for zeros in CFgraph but there still is a
problem. Is it possible there is a new JVM I should use. Could

It might be completely different on unix, but on windows i just tried editting C:\JRun4\servers\admin\SERVER-INF\jrun-users.xml and it seemed to do the trick, after stopping and starting the admin server.

Yes it is a very generic error indeed! I have both examined the logs, AND sent them to (paid) MM support. They were stumped. The logs say nothing. The only other symptom we notice is that we cannot start and stop the MM/JRUN windows services, instead we restart the server. I'd say

We, too, are experiencing this error. After many, many hours with paid
tech support at MM we basically ended up nowhere (which is why i've beem
learning asp.net lately)
The problem with the logs is they show a typical http 503 (client
disconnect) error when the jrun error occurs

Yep, the CFMX default setting is 512 which for your machine is way to
high...set it down to 128 or something (always ensure its in 64mb chunks).

I passed a value that contains a % to a CFC that is expecting a
string and got a JRun Servlet Error 500 null error or a 500 String
index out of range. Any idea why a % would cause this?

I just tested this on another server and both instances had no jdbc
metrics. Tells me its not the jrun.xml file, eh?
All my DSNs are defined under the CFAdmin tool on each instance. AHA!
Wait, under the original server mentioned, the JRun server named
cfusion has one DSN defined in the JDBC
