Check out this link. It's a tranny shop. They offer all kinds ways to correct
your speedo up or down. Since my truck speedo was off too much to fix with a
simple gear change, I opted fo
fairly
loose. In any event, all problems are now gone. No more smoking or sputtering,
and my gas mileage is up to 19mpg.

I got both a 66 and a 67 dash with my basket case
66 Chevelle. There may be other differences that I don't know about, but I can
confirm that the cut-out where the column slides in is smaller on the 66, making
the 67 cover is somewhat larger.
