I'm pretty sure we'll try to get the Eastbound CB Convoy together
again this year. Last year we all met in Lonoke on Wednesday drove
up from there. Guys from AR, OK, TX, MS, and CA all joined in, and
everybody's welcome to come along with us. This is how it worked out
last year--
The first post is up. All of ya'll heading to CB06 travelling I-40
through Arkansas are invited to come along, or you can meet us in
Memphis. Let's see if we can get 15~20 Chevelles on the road together!

If you have a vacuum leak big enough to stall the
engine I would first look to see if you have any open vacuum ports on the
carburetor. Some carburetors have a large vacuum port in the throttle plate at
the rear of the carb.

Pull the plugs crank it over, any water in the cylinders will be
pumped out. Change the oil filter it should be fine. I'd also
change the trans and diff fluids since water could get in through the
vents. Even if no water got into anything, it's just good
preventative maintenance.

Actually, the spider gears can allow both tires to rotate. If it's a
positraction, both wheels will rotate in the same direction. If it's not,
then one wheel will rotate clockwise, the other wheel will rotate
counterclockwise.

Thanks, Bill

You do realize that a 4 speed will not change the engine speed don't
you? 4th gear is 1:1 just like 3rd is 1:1 in the
automatic. You'll have to get a 5 speed to have an overdrive.
