I have never hung an isdn modem off the back of a router. I have used a BRI before...so my first suggestion is to do that...tyou also have to make sure your serial port is the same on the router and the TA. I dont know if the 2501's serial port is sync/async or not... John Neiberger wrote:

ppp callback confusion

I'm a little confused about ppp callback, given several key sources of information. Fatkid.com includes a username and callback dial-string global command, however, Cisco docs do not. As well, I have configured dial callback without this global command and it seemed to work fine. Any ideas?
