Hi all,
What are deferred collisions? I have searched the archives and CCO, and
could not find a description of them.
Thanks,
Dave

This book has a second edition coming out fairly soon. You may want to
wait.

Hi all,
I want to use MRTG to monitor my central ISDN router. This router has a PRI
that other routers (using BRI) in the same metro area call into. We use
Multilink PPP, so the remote offices create Virtual-Access interfaces on the
hub router when they dial into the hub router.
I am wondering
Never mind. I figured it out. You have to set up dialer interfaces for
every remote connection.

Actually, you only need one WINS server, centrally located. No need to have
one on each side of the link. That would just add database replication
overhead, much more traffic than resolving names across the WAN link. The
remote side just points to the one WINS server.

Is this access list applied to a dialer list so that it is used to specify
interesting traffic? Or is it applied to a particular interface directly?

All,
I have searched for several days on the HP, Microsoft, and Cisco web sites.
I have not been able to figure out which TCP/IP port number an NT server
would use to send a print job to a JetDirect card (LJ 4000 and its ilk).
The reason this relates to Cisco is this: We have Windows Terminal

Hi all,
I am doing some projections for growth in our companies FR cloud. I was
checking the limitations of routers when I came across this article. The

The following is directly from the article. The last part is what I have a

Hi all,
I have a bunch of local offices using ISDN to dial into our main office.
The remote offices use BRIs, and the main office has a PRI.
I noticed all of the remote offices have ppp multilink configured on their

Hi all,
I asked the group a couple of weeks ago about FR limitations, and didn't get
an answer that was complete. However, I have found it on CCO. For those
interested in the memory restrictions on routers using FR, check out:
