just change the Priority . I don't know any way to change the MAC address
of the switch . Now, if teh ultimate goal is to stop the switch from

I was facing a very similar issue.This is what I did and
it may seem
strange but it worked for me .I turned on service password-encryption and
then CHAP
authentication strated working .

I am trying to telnet into a Cat 6509 switch and I get this message
about access not permitted./Closing connection .The switch is configured
for TACACS+ and I have verified that the TACACS+ config is OK .Here is
part of the config .
