there isn`t a mistake as such ...spanning tree cisco version PVST does NOT work with other variants..ie ieee spanning tree... what you need to do is 1 either use a cisco router for trunking OR use PVST+ which is compatible with non cisco eqiupment check cisco.com for more info steve
